Less than two weeks ago, my father died after a short illness.  While going through his personal items with my mother, she handed me something I coveted.  His NRA ID card.  With the eagle emblazoned on the card, my chest swelled with pride as I realized that my father was a great patriot, a conservative and an all around swell guy.  He was just 72 but he spread his patriotism and ideology based on common sense everywhere - he had a wonderful  personality and was able to argue politics based…
