I wrote this originally back in Dec. of 2007. Some things don't change
Many Americans who are used to thinking about politics with the familiar left-right map - can't figure out what libertarians are. Libertarians weren't left-wing, they weren't right-wing, they weren't centrists -- so they, in effect, didn't exist. Libertarians literally weren't on the map!
For many years the standard view of politics -- the mental "map" almost everyone used when thinking of political… Continue

Once again the Obammunism administration has appointed another Czar who has a questionable past. Obama's 'Safe school czar' once failed to report an alleged sexual relationship between a 15 year male student and an older man. Not only did he not report it, he encouraged it.
A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an "older man." At the… Continue

The Mystery of Barack Obama Continues
By Steve Baldwin, Exclusive to Western Center for Journalism
Most Americans don’t realize we have elected a president whom we know very little about.
Researchers have discovered that Obama’s autobiographical books are little more than PR stunts, as they have little to do with the actual events of his life.
The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American… Continue

Leave Jim Cooper Alone
It’s really amazing how much effort national progressives are putting into going after Jim Cooper. Posts by national bloggers giving Coop crap for a pushing healthcare reform bill that doesn’t provide for a public option is one thing. But actually going to the trouble of setting up an anti-Cooper website? Talking of trying to recruit a primary… Continue

Huckabee: Send the U.N. to Saudi Arabia
By Eric Zimmermann - 09/28/09 10:50 AM ET
Dave Weigel caught Mike Huckabee making some pretty colorful remarks at a conservative conference in St. Louis this weekend.
The United States should stop funding the United Nations and kick the international body off U.S. territory, the former Arkansas Governor and… Continue

New Cheney Taking Stage for the G.O.P.
Liz Cheney in Nashville this month, where she was introduced as “our favorite vice president’s daughter” at a women’s gathering.
NASHVILLE — Liz Cheney looks nothing like her father, but it is clear who he is. She was introduced as “our favorite vice president’s daughter” at a recent gathering of conservative women… Continue

This article contains a passage from the Grand Jury Testimony of the Rape of 13 year old Girl, it is frank in it nature and may disturb some. Discretion is Advised.
The following is from Reuters:
“PARIS, Sept 27 (Reuters) - France's political elite rallied to the defense of Roman Polanski on Sunday, calling on Switzerland to free the 76-year-old film director rather than extradite him to the United States. Artists and film makers also urged the release… Continue

The president of the United States is supposed to represent the interests of American citizens, first and foremost. However, President Obama's behavior to date suggests that he is not particularly interested in being overly American.
Consider, please, some of Obama's more contradictory and harmful actions:
America's image abroad:
Speak ill of US leaders and olicies on foreign soil whenever
Continuing terror threat:

Anyone doubting the hypocrisy of liberals should consider the following:
* Execution of a convicted killer is cruel, unusual & barbaric; whereas a woman’s right to abort the life of an innocent child is inalienable;
* Starving a helpless victim like Terri Schaivo to death is acceptable; but using lethal injection to end the life of a brutal killer is not;
* Discrimination based on race or gender is wrong. Except when waged against Caucasian men, in… Continue

With all due respect to Philip Ellis Jackson's earlier piece on the subject, here is another view on why Obama is a failure; he isn't all that smart, is poorly educated for the job, is a coward
, and is really nothing more than a con man.
Virtually everyone in politics and the media who promoted the candidacy of Barack Obama seemed to think that he was a "transcendent" candidate. That… Continue

I don't want to sound petty, but I think considering how much time Mr. Obama is still spending campaigning, it is appropriate for the American people to question who is actually governing our nation?
Mr. Obama is constantly on television; frequently on the road appearing at rallies and delivering prepared speeches; submitting to interviews (he has been on 60 Minutes three times in the past six months!); and generally continuing to campaign. Yes, Ronald Reagan did go before the… Continue

Where All This Nonsense Started
When Social Security was set up in 1935, a trust fund was set up to keep the money collected in taxes, so it could be returned with interest to the taxpayer when he or she retired. This is called a "fully funded" system, one in which the full amount of money promised for the future is kept in a fund drawing interest.
But it took the politicians only four years to change the rules. After all, you can't expect them to keep their hands… Continue

Recently in a national speech to a Joint Session of Congress Obama said:
"But thanks to the bold and decisive action we have taken since January, I can stand here with confidence and say that we have pulled this economy back from the brink."
But what do the articles say?
U.S. job seekers exceed openings by record ratio
Despite signs that the economy has resumed growing, unemployed Americans now confront a job market that is bleaker than ever in… Continue
