Obama Needs "KISS"

The debt ceiling crisis, if it’s in fact a crisis has stumped 536 of United States finest politicians or should that be rephrased by merely saying those serving in the House of Representatives, the Senate and the President don’t have a clue about balancing a budget.

American families have know for years how to balance a budget; they know if you’re spending more than you take in, you’re headed for a financial crash. It’s pretty simple to balance a budget, although in actuality this… Continue

The Debt deal is coming to Congress

This week the House of Representatives and the Senate spent all week trying to wrap up a new 3.0 debt deal and pass it along to the President before the end of the day on Tuesday, Aug. 2. This has been the drop dead date announced by Treasury Secretary Geithner back in May in order to avert a lapse in the borrowing authority of our federal government.

The Senate finally gave up on the possibility of being able to pass the 3.0 debt deal around 8pm Sunday evening only to try again tomorrow…

DIRECT DEMOCRACY

IN SWITZERLAND THE PEOPLE VOTE ON MAJOR ISSUES WHICH WILL AFFECT LAWS LOCALLY OR GLOBALLY AND THE ELECTED OFFICIALS WILL PERFORM THEIR DUTIES TO ACT ON THE VOTE OF THE PEOPLE, NOT ON THE ELECTED OFFICIALS VOTE. THIS IS CALLED DIRECT DEMOCRACY AND IT GIVES THE PEOPLE MORE POWER, LESS POWER TO THE ELECTIVE OFFICIALS, THIS IS A START TO REDUCING GOVERNMENT CONTROL AND THE DEM/REPUB INFIGHTING WHICH WASTES TIME AND NEVER REALLY CARRIES OUT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. CHANGE IS NEEDED AND THIS MIGHT BE… Continue

It's Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, Stupid!

How many times have we heard or read, "It's the economy, stupid!" For all of us, the message is: "It's Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, stupid!" It's that simple. We just won't compromise our Constitution and our founding documents.

Never compromising Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness is having the will to be fearless and relentless, while remaining confident and true to yourself, no matter what the obstacles

The Tea Party Comes of Age

They are all confused and frightened, with the exception of the Tea Party.

While on an episode of The O'Reilly Factor aired Friday August 29th, David Webb stated so emphatically, "The Tea Party is the adult in the room!" Webb recognized that not only was the Tea Party handling the debt ceiling crisis in the only long term way that will work but that the only reason the debate was actually being carried on was because the Tea Party instigated it to begin with. And that the Tea… Continue

Are We an Emerging 3rd World Country?

Is our monster debt and are our diminished liberties turning us into a 3rd world country? The Statists legislate and regulate AGAINST Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Statists prevent the great architectural achievements we witness in Dubai from happening in our country. The Statists oppose economic freedom. The Statists oppose the voluntary exchange of goods and services. The Statists oppose the 10th Amendment. The Statists simply oppose the Constitution.

In Defense of Stupidity and Intransigence

I keep hearing that the Tea Party Congressmen are stupid and intransigent and that they are irresponsibly holding up a compromise solution to the debt ceiling crisis. Sadly the drive by media has had considerable success selling this idea.  I have also heard all my life that politicians will invaribly say almost anything to get elected, but forget their promises after they have taken office.  Is this true of the Tea Party caucus?  Did any of them indicate during their campaigns that they…

Dancing on the Debt Ceiling

In the fairy tale political world of government budget planning, up is down and we can all live happily ever after by spending other people's money on whatever seems to be a good idea at the time.

We can predict rosy economic growth scenarios, regardless of our own income, debts, or economic reality.  It's time for American voters to wake up!  Spending and debt is off the charts, not just in Washington DC, but…

Jane Fonda live at Barnes & Noble Aug. 10th, NY City

Jane Fonda is trying to sell her new book. Recently, when her appearance on QVC was cancelled, she came out with statement that "I have never done anything to hurt my country or the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for us." http://cnsnews.com/news/article/jane-fonda-i-have-never-done-anything-hu

The trouble is, Fonda did not specify exactly what her country was: the United States -… Continue

WHAT'S THE REAL PROBLEM BEHIND THE DEBT CRISIS

Are we focused on the real problem in Washington: is it raising the debt limit? Going into default, losing our AAA Credit Rating, lack of a balanced budget, too much spending, not enough taxes or the culture of the way Washington does business? I say the underlying cause of all problems is the culture in the way Washington conducts business... Washington does little to fix problems; it’s all about politics and getting re-elected... Just look at the shenanigans of the past week. Speaker Boehner… Continue

DEBT CEILING

We must not raise the debt ceiling.  Now is the time to draw the line.  Now is the time to send a strong message to the rating Agencies and to Wall Street that it shall not be business as usual in America.  How much "new spending" is just waiting for a raise in the debt ceiling?  How much talk is going on about getting rid of automatic COLAs?  Why aren't we hearing about a complete government freeze?  There is no stomache in Washington to do business other than usual.  IT IS UP TO ALL…

Unleashing Americans

By Alan Caruba

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.” -- Thomas Jefferson

My father was a certified public accountant, as is my older brother. I not only lacked any arithmetical skills, I spent much of my early years ignoring the ups and downs of the economy, thinking that these matters were beyond my comprehension. What I failed to understand was that… Continue

Is Norwegian Mass Murderer Anders Breivik a Christian?

I am not a psychologist nor do I have any special insights into what makes Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik tick.  However, I do have common sense and I am a Christian. For me the answer to the headline question is simple. If he was ever a Christian, he stopped being one the moment he began contemplating…

Dueling debt deals die-What's next in Congress?

Congress is once again spending their weekend in session and voting on dueling debt bills. The House passed a debt increase bill created by  Speaker Boehner last night by a vote of 218 to 210. Within an hour, the Senate killed the bill by a vote of 59 to 41. Sen. Reid then made some changes to his debt increase proposal and brought that measure up on the Senate floor. He then used a parliamentary procedure called cloture which requires 60 votes to limit the debate on the Reid amdt.…
