I saw America

I saw America last month. I rode with the Patriot Guard Riders to the Waco Airport to meet a chartered aircraft that brought back the remains of L/Cpl Shawn Hefner from Afghanistan where he was killed while in action, back to his home and parents in Hico, Texas. I have ridden with the Patriot Guard before, but this was different for me. He was, and still is a Marine for all of eternity, and I was a Marine in Vietnam... in a different war... but we are brothers. He died in the same locale where… Continue

Thank you Ron for serving our country and a great big "thank you!" to your son in Afganistan. I agree with you that Sarah Palin shows the greatness of being a statesman, or someone who serves the country, as opposed to a politician who serves a party.
