I find myself watching the GOP Primaries unfold and as they do I constantly find myself asking; "Is this really the best we can do?" I do not subscribe to the mantra that Romney is the inevitable nominee, in fact I think he may be the worst choice (other than Ron Paul) if we actually want to win in November. I like Rick Santorum mostly, I like Rick Perry even more and I like Newt a little less, mostly because I never know when Newt is going to use 200 words to explain something that could…

I just heard on Fox News that Ron Paul has said he will consider running as a third party candidate if he is not the GOP nominee for President. WTF is wrong with this knucklehead?
So let me get this right, not only do we have "The Donald" out there threatening to run as a third party candidate if the GOP does not nominate "THE RIGHT CANDIDATE", but now we have the wing nut of all wing nuts threatening us with the same if we do not select him to go against Obama in the…

I've noticed that we spend a lot of time here talking back and forth amongst ourselves about the Republican field for President. Who is the best and who is the worst, which candidates make up our "dream team", which RINOs have the biggest horns, etc. Don't get me wrong, discussion is good, it is how we share information, educate and possibly persuade others.
Contained within all of these discussions, there inevitably appears the "declaration of ideological purity post"…

Back in 2008 after Barrack Hussein Obama was anointed President of the United States I made two comments to my wife. First I told her; "there will come a day in the not too distant future when you will miss George W. Bush." She rolled her eyes and emphatically told me "no way." A few months later, once she started to get a hint of what was coming under Obama, I asked her; "miss W yet?" Well, my wife would never actually admit to me that I was right, but the look that came over her face…

Jeff Dover said… Jan Brewer's a trouper! Imagine concealed carry, no permit in California. The idea that there's something wrong with that is just another leftist straw man in aid of their drive to disarm the public and defeat the possibility of any "militia necessary to the preservation of" a free state. We all know the crooks will conceal, whether or not permits are required...that's why they're criminals! And we know the left wants serious, non-constitutional control over our lives and our choices as individuals...
Jeff Dover said… Hi William,
I read your comment and agree that's a good idea. A lot of the people here are reluctant to change (remember, they're conservative!), but I see this one differently. Many of them have also worked within the Republican Party in one way or another too and don't want to see it go down for emotional reasons, I guess. Sorry, but for me when a thing becomes useless, love it at a distance if you wish, but get it the hell out of the way! I think that they also forget, in forming a new party prior to its putting up great candidates, they can still vote for Republicans in elections.
I live in Arizona. I think that here, we're ripe for that change. A rep. who I hosted at a meet/greet on the way to winning his first term over the Democrat incumbent, Dave Schweikert, was one of the committee people Boehner canned!
