Hello Vic:

I think I win the prize for the longest delayed response.  Sorry.
My computer went down sometime just after your post. (October 2010)
Computer would come back to life occasionally, but then go back to 'sleep'.
Finally it went into 'permanent hibernation' and has been down for months.
A flurry of personal and business responsibilities during all of Nov. & Dec. kept me from finding the time to have it repaired/debugged - whatever those tech people do.  But, the 'dinosaur' is up and running since last week.
To reply to your question as to whether I know a Richard Ploss who served in 1969 - sorry - no.  While there are relatives with that name - none served during that time.  However, I have been told that there is a Richard Ploss living somewhere north of Boston.  Don't know if he's related - that part of the family was fractured many decades ago.  Most contact was 'lost' and/or wanted to remain lost. Perhaps he's who you seek.
