Hello Mike, a couple of comments I would like to make.  Being a Veteran I can see why your relative likes firearms; however, to use this in a school setting would require training in both law and application to fully comprehend the responsibility and trust required of being armed. My thought, there are hundreds of people like myself who have been highly trained in both law and application of being armed whether Security or Police who could provide implementation of securing our schools almost immediately. There would need to be a formal process of background investigations, education, and experience to qualify for these security positions with ongoing training to stay focused to any new trends relating to the field of security.
