I am the National Grassroots Director for ParentalRights.org, and we're trying to pass a constitutional amendment (the Parental Rights Amendment, which will be the 28th Amendment) to enshrine traditional protections of parental rights in the Constitution to protect them from erosion. Throughout our nation's history, it has been assumed that parents have rights and that government has a responsibility to protect those rights, until now. Both domestic and international laws are threatening the family and the rights of parents. The only way to protect ourselves is to place protections for our rights in the Constitution. Let me be clear: we are not advocating "new" rights: we are working to protect rights that the Founders themselves recognized. The reason that parental rights are not specified in the Constitution is because the Founders could not foresee the problems of our day.

Our efforts continue to be successful! Hundreds of thousands of Americans have embraced our cause, and many of them are volunteering long hours to spread the word of this vital cause. We have a grassroots network that is growing stronger by the day, with structure and leadership being built continually to ensure its effectiveness.
