PC Bob said… Apparently they have been doing this for some time, now, Jim. This link is from LAST year about this time: http://kccheckpoint.com/2011/10/21/tennessee-deploys-tsa-vipr-teams-on-highways-with-drug-sniffing-dogs/
They didn't have warrants so I guess they got smarter. Now they bring the judge with them, toissue the warrants right on the spot!
Here are some links I found:

I even found this disclaimer from the TSA:

Believe it? I don't. This is from last year.
Jack Kemp said… Jim, I like your ideas. The Swiss military system with their reserves who train every year is a good system to base a military on. As you may well know, it is the system that the Israeli military was modeled on.
Jack Kemp said… Jim, as for taking the argument into the "deep weeds," that's for a very long article or a book length development. A simple trick I often use in writing is that I pretend that I'm trying to explain something to a bright friend who doesn't have my background. So, for example, write the article as if you were trying to explain the concepts and argument to Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation.
Jack Kemp said… Jim, I don't want to leave my email address up on your comment wall permanently, so on Sunday night, Aug. 13, I will remove the comment in which I wrote it. Please copy that message and store it in a personal file. Thanks.
Jack Kemp said… Jim, I'm not trying to overburden you. This topic of troop deployment, though very important, can wait until after our November national election. Hopefully, at that time a win by Romney will give you a lift and inspire you.
Philip Johnson said… Jim:
Thanks for the kudos. Just expressing my frustrations, concerns and thoughts - mirroring what I am hearing daily from customers and friends alike. Boy, do we ever have some work to do!

janet barks said… Jim, I didn't finish my message to you.
Ed Stoneham tried to contact you. He wants to get your opinion on a plan that Marcia Woods, Debrajoe Smith-Beatty, and I (janet Barks) have been working on. We have several pages of discussion on the Blog, "John Boehner and Harry Reid - partners------- Not sure of the last part. Marcia posted the article on May 3rd.
If you could view the last several pages (you will find it), and tell us what you think we would appreciate it. I will go back and let Ed know that I made an effort to get you to the blog and give your thoughts. Thank you Jim.
bill campbell said… My fear is that regardless of who is in the office of president, nothing will change. I am doing everything I can to recapture my state's representation. I think every one of us should do the same thing. Replacing those in congress/senate, will regain control of the office of the pres. Putting the control back into the hands of the citizen, and not the power of the payoffs that continue, as long as incumbents have time to repay the high rollers that donate to the re-election process.
Voting in Jesus Christ, as commander and chief, would be useless with our current locally elected representatives. We will have to regain our country a state at a time, a great start will be this 2012 election year. Getting rid of the status quo will take removing most, if not all, incumbents, regardless of party. I would vote for a democratic to remove McCain, who is not a RINO, he is a standard run of the mill incumbent. Incumbent motto is "All for one and one for all". The general electorate is uneducated and we have a very uphill climb.
I do have a fear, that in Sept., the boys in wall street will spank the hell out of Bam Bam, with a huge market collapse. Maybe what is needed to change to another Pres. but will not do a thing for the republic.
again Hoping for a better year to come.
Marcia Wood said… I'm East of Phoenix, in between Tempe and Mesa sort of - glad to have you as a new friend
