Hey Jack,

Love your comments!  Unfortunately, the pundits always talk in terms of "center-right" etc.  In the name of all that's holy, what is "center-right"?  And, "right" of ...what?  It's all relative stuff, which talks away from specifics.  Let's not permit our political dialogue to be conducted in those terms.  Let's make pundits discuss the specifics and be clear about positions in relation only to the issue at hand.  One either favors smaller government...or one does not.  If one then favors smaller government, but votes against a motion to make that government smaller, then that one demonstrably doesn't support smaller government.  It either "is" or "it is not" -- in relation to the issue.  I always try to get confirmation of what is meant when people start using all those relative terms to describe someone's position on things.  I think those terms are used to confuse us and actually cloud the dialogue.  Whatever the purpose, it does cloud the issue.  We need to know exactly where our members of congress stand.
