George,  It's nice that we have such a site, so that we can meet other people & have them share their thoughts with us & vice a versa.  I'm trying my best to not let this pain get to me.  Ever since we drove to the Valley (Mesa) to see my orthopeidc surgeon I have been short of breath.  Normally I'm on oxygen at night, as is my husband.  I have felt so horrible for the past few days.  When I was younger I used to get cluster migraine headaches & rushing down to Mesa.  I have yet another cluster migraine headache.  I'm sorry to hear about your wife & her problems.  It's wonderful that you have stayed in LA so that she can be near her family.  My husband & myself have never had any family & both our parents are deceased.  When the holidays come, I always feel so lonley.  That is something that I have had to live with for some years now.  I know what you mean about cut/copy & post.  Sometimes some of the easiest things, are the hardest to explain.  Before we retired we were square dancers...going out at least 4-5 days a week.  I do miss that acitivity..but at the same time, I know that we will not be going back to it again.  Do to so many health issues, I simply cannot get involved again b/c I wouldn't have the stamina that I had years ago.  Our weather here is pretty cold.  We live up in the mountains under The Rim..which is part of The Grand Canyon.  Even though we are under this Rim, I'm surprised that we don't see people coming & going from there.  However, we do have a lot of people who come & go during the weekends up here; they like to camp out & fish up on The Rim.  The University of AZ has plans to build another University up here.  They already have it all planned & have the money to pay for the college itself.  However, they still need someone to donate the money so that the University can buy the land from the forest preserve.  I'm sure in due time, it will be taken care of.
