Thanks for the cheer up. I did make plenty of small donations, then I started to get all sorts of mail from all different charities and politicians that I hadn't contacted. Now I get several calls a week, usually in the evening and when I pick up the phone there is a pause - computer dialed, I guess - then someone asks for me, tells me who they are and starts giving a pitch for their cause or politico. It's a royal pain in the neck - so I vented a bit on TPN. I'm smarter about the whole thing now and will decide which candidate - city, state and federal I really want to win and I will send them a donation and volunteer to help out, at least on one campaign. I can handle that.
