Letter on the Governor Pick-Pocketing Votes

David Lawrence Letter on the Governor Pick-Pocketing Votes The thing about raising the minimum wage is that it benefits few except the politicians.  Gov. Andrew Cuomo wants to show what a good, empathetic guy he is by raising the minimum wage in the fast food industry to $15. He doesn’t care about the long term effects of this increase.  He doesn’t care if it causes inflation and loss of jobs.  All he cares about is bribing the poor voters so that he can secure his insignificant, brash…See More

So What if Trump Doesn’t Think that McCain is a Hero

Who cares if Trump said that McCain wasn’t a hero?  This isn’t a name calling contest.  We are talking about running for President.  We want to know what Trump can do for our decadent society.  We want to know if he can reinvigorate our military.  We don’t care what he does or doesn’t think of McCain who isn’t even running for President.

Trump also said, "I will do far more…

OBAMA IS THE JOKER

Obama  is the Joker running around Gotham City mocking our stupidity while we listen to his platitudes and imagine that they are utopian intentions.

He is stupid.  We are stupid.  Let’s have a stupid casino party and let Iran have the full deck of cards while we keep deuces.

Obama’s speeches are written for him and he reads…

LETTER ABOUT OBAMA VISITING JAIL

The Post said that Obama  “heaped praise Wednesday as a burger chain for hiring an ex-felon.”   He is about to visit a medium-security prison and ask for shorter sentences for non-violent crimes.”

Anti-conservative, progressive Governor Cuomo backs Obama who thinks that “incarceration madness” is gripping the country.

I don’t know what two wimps like Obama and Cuomo are…

David, concerning Trump's insulting prisoners of war, there is a knowledgeable military vet who wrote an article today at Amer. Thinker on that subject. But besides that, let me tell you about two discussions I've had on that subject, the first one only involves Trump.
A woman I know was supporting Trump vs. McCain online, using solid arguements about McCain's not supporting veterans while in the US Sentate. I told her 1) Trump should have lead with that argument and 2) it is easier for a woman to criticize McCain on the basis of whether he was a hero. A man doing that would immediately be asked, "What branch of the service were you in, big mouth stud?"
The second story involves a political argument I had with an Israeli leftist on the old Usenet boards which involved me telling him I had lived in Israel as a young man for 15 months. He told me I was a coward to which I replied 1) I am the only child of Holocaust survivors and, by Israeli law, would not be put in a combat unit if I were to join (so I'd be washing pans or handing out shirts and pants) 2) he should not get a job in the charity "Volunteers for Israel" and 3) I looked at his email address which was from the technical university of Israel, the Technion and then said to him that he probably worked in some back office with a soldering iron and was night a jet fighter pilot or a paratrooper (he never replied to deny this). I then added (probably much to his surprise) that there is a saying in Israel, "Atah hietah beh Tzveah, aval atah loh hiyah chayal" which translates in English to "You were in the Army but you weren't a soldier." That shut him up. So much for the analogies. I will now add, in reference to Trump, a saying of the black people: don't let your mouth write checks that your arms can't cash.

David, a small correction to my comment at 2 pm today, as my memory of the scene was blurred. The 2016 Election It will be like that Rocky movie where both fighters go down and the referee starts the count with only Rocky getting up before the number 10 is reached by the ref. And I'll add one more thing. If Trump actually got the GOP nomination, he could win the election. But if Trump doesn't get the GOP nomination, his ego will have him runnig as a third party candidate, he stands a good chance of giving the election to the Democrat nominee (he or she) as Trump would then split the "not happy with the way things are now" vote.

David, the Democrats are fools but aggressive, opportunistic fools. And there is no shortage of fools on the GOP side muddying up the works, either. This election in 2016 will be somewhat comparible to that later "Rocky" movie ending where both battereded fighters fall to the canvas and the one who hits the canvas last, namely Rocky, is declared the winner.

David, I see now that "Obama was supposed to..." got approved and recommended to all readers. Sometimes Judson and his staff get busy with other things in Washington. In fact, since yesterday was April 15th, he and his staff may have been busy mailing some money to an office that was forwarded to Washington. I also want to see my posts approved and recommended to all readers quickly, but you got to realize that Judson has political activities - and perhaps paying legal work - that keeps him from always pushing out our writing as fast as we would like. As they say in Israel, "savlanoot" (patience).

When does the Abraham Linker brigade leave for Darfur?

The left's desire to say and do something about Darfur has been manifested on the streets of New York, with ads in my local subway station (and presumably others), as well as one Upper West Side of Manhattan house of worship placing a sign on its exterior wall.

The concept I am about to propose and discuss was first mentioned by Jay Diamond on conservative New York talk radio in the 1990s. I propose to leftists that they mimic the gumption that their leftist forebears had in the 1930s when idealistic young leftists formed the Abraham Lincoln Brigade and went to Spain to fight against Franco's fascist army. That they were fighting with a Republican Army allied with the Soviet Union added spice to battle. [Language note: "Linker" in the title above is the Yiddish word for "Leftist."] After all, where would Russia be today if Comrade Stalin hadn't raised a vast Red Army to fight the Nazi invaders?

In those days, some in the American left had the courage of their convictions, even against strong Spanish enemies aided with Nazi Stuka dive bombers. Hollywood even made a feature film about the subject in 1943, "For Whom the Bell Tolls," starring Gary Cooper and Ingrid Bergman in an adaptation of the 1940 Hemingway novel. This adaptation, however, played down the political angle of Cooper's character to make the story more acceptable to the American public. All the same, Hollywood applauded this character based loosely on Ernest Hemingway himself.

The left is always attacking President Bush for not serving in Viet Nam, like Bill Clinton...er...never mind. Well, they consider Pres. Bush hypocritical and unqualified because of this. But where are the leftist volunteers for Darfur? Michael Moore could use some of his millions to finance a training camp for military volunteers for Darfur.

At least when they put up the posters for both the book and movie versions of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in the 1940s, there was a real person's story behind the images with the courage of their convictions to fight the fascists. Today, we just get the pos
ters and signs from the left. But the artwork reproduction is better because it is digitalized.
