When I joined the Tea Party the official line was that we were not a 3rd party and that we were non-partisan politically and strict constitutionalist with no party affiliation. I was a lifelong democrat until it became embarrassing to be a part of an organization that supported every progressive, statist, socialist agenda known to man.
