Another thought or suggestion - if you are not already a member of the Constitution Study Group here on TPN, you might want to join. The articles by Publius are very educational and are based on and supported by the original intent of the Founders. I have learned a lot from what I have read on that Group.

You are right, BO has done this before, but his action(s) did not set the precedent. We have been doing this for quite some time now, by various presidents. The level of involvement has been different in various countrys, but just the same, presidents (for a long time now) have been pushing the limits as to what they could do on their own, without the approval of Congress. It is a problem that goes back decades and across party lines.
One of the mistakes that we, on the right, make is that when a president with a "R" after their name does something unconstitutional, we have been slow to find fault because they explained it in such a way as we accepted it as being necessary and a good idea (such as the Patriot Act). Consequently, we are all guilty of looking the other way when the Constitution is violated. Now, most of what our government does is unconstitutional and very few, if any, of our Senators or Representatives abide by or even understand the Constitution.
