On Friday, August 28th, I went to an event where Senator Durbin and Representatives Kirk and Bean were invited, but not expected to show. It was held in a municipal hall, but organized by non-government citizens. When I arrived, the organizer told me that I could not pass out any literature because “That’s not what this is about.” I respected her wishes and did not hand out any pamphlets inside the meeting room.
