Gary -
Thanks for what I believe is an honest response. Unfortunately so many others also thought 'hope and change' was the way to go but never asked exactly what it meant. The community organizer was honest with us in that he spoke of the 'fundamental transformation of America' and none of his followers questioned just what that meant. And now, if folks don't get off their duff and get involved we WILL see a transformation that no one will like. We are in such deep doodoo...

Art, your question to me was: With all the campaign rhetoric about 'hope & change', what exactly did you take that to mean? I voted for bush both times, i think he is a real american with a strong faith in God. I really got disalliisoned at the end of his last term with his seemingly unwillingness to listen to the feed back he was getting from all of us who cared for him. I just had a brain fade and thought a first black president could do so much to ease the reacial tentions in our country and he seemed like a fresh open mind and would be so open to the people. Had no idea, no idea at all how really this man was and is. The only reason i did not vote for mcCain was i felt he missed his window by not beating bush his first run, and on some of the issues of my concern, he did not seem to me to be able fo overcome his view, that was my thoughts at that time. I do not pretend to be a savy current event player in all this and because im limited to the access to all these breaking news days we live in. I get confused tin who is telling what and who to know as truthful. That is why i have changed to Indpendant and join the teaparty looking to real people for some real feedback to my real questions. Thank you for asking about my reasoning and i look forward to my first attendance to a teaparty event.....God Bless and Stay Safe...

Glad to see that someone else realizes that Hughes is not the answer! Don Lowrey is the real deal.
