Monday News Executive Summary

German intelligence has determined that in late January, Chinese dictator Xi Jinping beseeched the World Health Organization to not only conceal knowledge of COVID-19’s human-to-human transmission but to hold off on declaring a global pandemic. Sen. Tom Cotton responded, “I don’t know about all the specific details of those reports, but there’s no question that Xi Jinping and senior officials in the Chinese Communist Party were pressuring the WHO all the way back to December to undersell the risk of this virus.

Over the weekend, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo finally dispensed with a deleterious order that gave nursing homes no other option but to re-house previously hospitalized coronavirus patients. Since March 1, it’s estimated that approximately 5,000 coronavirus-infected New Yorkers died in nursing homes. Even Cuomo could no longer ignore these fatal statistics.

According to anti-Trump co-conspirator Barack scumbag/liar-nObama, the DOJ’s motion to dismiss charges against Michael Flynn means that “our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.” Flynn’s lead attorney retorted: “The whole thing was orchestrated and set up within the FBI, [James] scumbag-Clapper, [John] scumbag/commie-Brennan, and in the Oval Office … with President scumbag/liar-nObama.” Just don’t tell that to the “experts” at MSNBC; they suggest Flynn should thank Vladimir Putin

San Fran Is Delivering Alcohol, Tobacco, Pot, And Methadone To COVID-Positive Homeless Addicts Sheltering In Hotels

by Wes Walker{ } ~ With plans like this, is it any wonder liar-Pelosi’s backyard is going to Hell? While ordinary citizens are being arrested and thrown in jail for LITERALLY doing their job… the homeless are getting to stay in hotels and get their favorite vices delivered. All in the name of COVID.  Will Californian Taxpayers be responsible for any damage these ‘guests’ incur on the hotels while they are in there? San Francisco is using private donations to deliver alcohol, tobacco and medical marijuana to homeless addicts staying in city-leased hotels during the coronavirus pandemic. As of Wednesday there are about 270 people, mostly homeless, staying in hotel rooms to recover from COVID-19 or to wait out possible exposure to the virus. So far, 11 people have received alcohol, 27 have received tobacco and five have received medical marijuana, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. City officials said that private donations pay for the items, and that helping manage nicotine, opioid and alcohol cravings ensures that recovering people don’t go out and possibly infect others. Dr Grant Colfax, San Francisco’s public health director, said the harm-reduction approach is widespread and based on decades of sound public health policy. ‘Our focus needs to be on supporting them,’ he said of the people who are isolating or under quarantine. For people experiencing alcohol withdrawal, the Department of Public Health calculates the minimum amount needed and delivers them with meals…

The tools that prepare Israel for the future war

By SETH J. FRANTZMAN{  } ~ ‘We get up in the morning with one mission,” says a lieutenant-colonel in Israel’s air force. “From north to south, in combination with the ground forces, the mission is how to win the war of maneuver.”… Israel’s next war is coming, and when it comes, Israel must land a knockout punch, using the latest technology and combining all its units, from the sea to land and air, in a coordinated assault that will defeat its enemies with maximum power but a minimum of harm to civilians. “The most important thing for an officer is the decision-making in combat, in relation to the enemy’s ground forces and our forces,” says Lt.-Col. Elad Tsarfati, an Armored Corps commander. He is training the next generation of officers to practice the latest combat techniques, debriefing and learning from mistakes, and applying them on the ground; he puts his officers under pressure, to see how they make decisions, to improve planning and decision-making. “We need to know the enemy’s perception of fighting, whether it is Hamas or Hezbollah. We teach officers and commanders how the enemy perceives the battle, and to use that to put the enemy at a disadvantage.” Dozens of kilometers away from the dusty tank treads of the Merkava IV tanks that Tsarfati is used to, Lt.-Col. Ran Shtaygman of Israel’s navy surveys his patrol boats in preparation for duty off the coast of Gaza. “One of the most important things we are doing today 24/7, from summer to winter, day and night, is patrolling to keep the border from Gaza to Israel safe and prevent terror.” These are Israel’s key soldiers at a place and time in their mid-career where they have seen the heavy cost of wars in the past and know how to prepare the future generation for the conflict on the horizon. Shtaygman, 36, came up through the naval academy and then, after several years, became a commander in Squadron 916, whose patrol boats confront terrorism near Gaza. He began running one vessel in 2005, and continued through stints in 2010 and 2011 with the missile boats in Haifa, and then went to the US briefly to spend time at Rhode Island’s Naval War College. Now his unit contains the Devora-, Shaldag- and smaller Tzir’ah-class vessels. The larger patrol boats, ranging in length from 21 m. to 24 m., with its Typhoon weapon station and 25-mm. cannon, and 15-member crew, are the muscle that keeps the coast off Gaza safe from terrorism. At any time of day or night, there are Israeli naval assets off the coast of Gaza, a particularly sensitive area because of the water border with Egypt and the gas rigs that now festoon the coast…

Why Would The New York Times Ignore the IDF Mission to Defend Lives?

By David Suissa{ } ~ Unlike many folks in the pro-Israel community, I’m not a New York Times hater. I find much of its cultural reporting top notch, and some of its commentary original and incisive… I don’t admire a certain political bias that permeates some of its reporting, especially when it comes to Israel, but I don’t let that stop me from enjoying the stuff I like. Once in a while, though, it goes too far. Here’s how the paper introduced a story on Israeli research efforts to fight COVID-19, in a May 8 tweet: “The Israeli Defense Ministry’s research-and-development arm is best known for pioneering cutting-edge ways to kill people and blow things up. Now it is turning to saving lives.” The criticism from the Jewish world has come hard and fast, with Jonathan Greenblatt of the Anti-Defamation League tweeting: “This tweet is sensationalist. It is irresponsible that the @nytimes buried the important story about Israel’s military developing innovative responses to #COVID19 beneath demonizing language that seems to question Israel’s legitimate security needs. They should do better.” MAYBE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN A WESTERNIZED, SUCCESSFUL, PRIVILEGED COUNTRY WITH A POWERFUL ARMY DON’T HAVE THE SAME ROMANCE AS THE LIVES OF THOSE WHO WALLOW IN POWERLESSNESS AND VICTIMHOOD. Notwithstanding the poisoned tweet, the actual story has an upbeat headline, “Israeli Army’s Idea Lab Aims at a New Target: Saving Lives,” and subhead, “The country has engaged defense contractors, doctors, engineers, scientists — and most of the senses — in its battle against the coronavirus.” As soon as you start reading, though, you realize where the tweet came from: “The Israeli Defense Ministry’s research-and-development arm is best known for pioneering cutting-edge ways to kill people and blow things up, with stealth tanks and sniper drones among its more lethal recent projects. But its latest mission is lifesaving.” Let’s put aside the ugly references to “killing people” and “blowing things up,” which may as well describe terror groups such as Hamas, ISIS or Hezbollah. Let’s focus instead on the main idea of the introduction: Now, finally, the Israeli army is into lifesaving. It’s about time! What’s grossly missing from this picture, of course, is any inkling that “lifesaving” is part of the IDF mission. It’s called the Israel Defense Forces for a reason, because defending human lives is its primary focus. Why would a prestigious paper like The New York Times miss something so obvious? WHEN THE TERROR BOMBS WILL FALL AGAIN FROM GAZA, THAT IDF INGENUITY WILL EVEN PROTECT NEW YORK TIMES REPORTERS. Here’s one possibility: The thousands of lives the IDF has saved over the years through its military, advanced intelligence and cutting-edge defensive weapons like the Iron Dome are… Israeli lives. Maybe the lives of people who live in a westernized, successful, privileged country with a powerful army don’t have the same romance as the lives of those who wallow in powerlessness and victimhood. But those same Israelis—Jewish and non-Jewish—are surely grateful that the powerful IDF will continue to protect them, against either terror groups or an evil virus. And when the terror bombs will fall again from Gaza, that IDF ingenuity will even protect New York Times reporters.

Ahmaud Arbery’s Killers Get Due Process After Stealing It From Him

By Molly Davis{ } ~ Ahmaud Arbery would have been celebrating his 26th birthday today, May 8. But he was murdered. The black Georgia man was out for a jog on the afternoon of Feb. 23 when two white men… who allegedly thought Ahmaud was a burglar, chased him down and brutally shot and killed him. The entirety of the horrific shooting was caught on camera. Take caution before watching the video. It is truly horrifying. The disturbing cell phone footage was leaked online this past week, causing a justified frenzy of outrage over the 21st-century lynching. Coincidentally — or not — the arrest was made just days after the leaked video caused public fury. Father and son duo Gregory and Travis McMichael were charged on May 7 with murdering and assaulting Ahmaud — over two months after the killing. And this is despite the fact that unlike the family of Ahmaud, police have had access to the video since the day of the incident. If the video hadn’t been leaked, there’s no telling when and if an arrest would have ever been made. The footage begins by showing Ahmaud leisurely jogging through a neighborhood in shorts and a T-shirt in Brunswick, Georgia. Any viewer can clearly see he was in no way “hauling ass” down the street, as Gregory described to police. Gregory claimed he was at home when he saw Ahmaud run by, which prompted him to alert his son Travis to grab their guns and hop in a truck with William “Roddy” Bryan to chase after Ahmaud and save the day. The McMichaels claimed that once they caught up to Ahmaud, they yelled for him to stop, but he kept running — as if somehow, this verbal command from a fellow citizen justified the following action. The McMichaels told police they tried to block his path forward, but Ahmaud ran in the opposite direction, as anyone would likely do if a truck full of armed men chased them down. Once they pulled up to him again, Travis jumped out of the truck to confront Ahmaud. Gregory, Travis’ father, claimed Ahmaud began violently attacking Travis, who responded by shooting him with his shotgun, but the video contradicts this narrative. It appears as though Ahmaud is simply running around the truck toward Travis, perhaps trying to grab his gun. As soon as they appear to be close enough to make physical contact, a shot is immediately fired. Then two more quickly followed. Ahmaud stumbled to his death shortly after. The official police incident report documents only two shots despite the fact there were clearly three…

Hundreds of Criminals Could Soon Be Free in California Thanks to scumbag-Soros-Backed Org

By Amalia White { } ~ The American Civil Liberties Union is taking legal action to attempt to free 500 inmates from jail in California… The ACLU — which was awarded $50 million from leftist billionaire scumbag-George Soros’ Open Society Institute in 2014 to “end mass incarceration” — filed a lawsuit Thursday in U.S. District Court against Orange County Sheriff Don Barnes demanding the release of hundreds of criminals. The organization listed more than 500 inmates who it says must be freed because they are “medically vulnerable” to the coronavirus. “The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has repeatedly failed its obligation to protect the safety of people in its custody,” Jacob Reisberg, an advocate with the ACLU focusing on jail conditions, told the Los Angeles Times. “Under normal circumstances, this lack of care is shameful, but during COVID-19 it is catastrophic.” In response, Barnes said he has taken measures to protect inmates and jail staff but doesn’t want to put the public at risk by releasing more criminals. “I will continue to take measures needed to ensure the capacity is available to maintain safe operations and preserve our ability to house criminal offenders,” the sheriff said in a statement to the Orange County Register. “In preserving the safety of our custody operations, I must also ensure the safety of the law-abiding public. I am not supportive of extensive preemptive releases that go beyond what is necessary to keep the jail and community safe.” Other top officials across the state, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, have been evacuating prisons in defense that they are trying to prevent overcrowding. Last month, Newsom ended the sentences for 14 convicted killers, the Times reported…

Blinded by Doomsday Predictions Masquerading as Science

By Andrew Gilbertson{ } ~ Conservatives?  Anti-science? No way! Science created fuel-burning engines, harnessed electricity, and ushered in an industrial revolution that transformed the world… Science found cures for malaria, tuberculosis, and polio; expanded the world’s food supply many times over; significantly lengthened life expectancy; and put men on the moon. And then, just when it seemed nothing more was even possible, science — specifically computer technology — transformed the world yet again. Cyber-wonders emerge on an almost daily basis, enhancing our lives in ways we could only have imagined a generation ago. No, folks, we have no quarrel with science. But we have a serious problem with something masquerading as science: the manipulation of facts and data to create fearful predictive models. These “scientific” statistical models often tend to cast the freedom we enjoy in a negative light, and they almost always end up being wrong. Let us amble down the Memory Lane of five decades and revisit some of the terrifying events the learned practitioners of this branch of science once assured us would occur. No doubt, you will recall many of them: By 1980, city-dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution. By 1985, air pollution will block 50% of the sunlight reaching Earth, causing global cooling. By 1989, the population explosion and resulting food shortages will result in mass starvation “The Great Die-Off”, in which 4 billion people, including 65 million Americans, will perish. By 1990, all lead, zinc, tin, silver, and gold reserves will be gone. By 2000, global crude oil reserves will be gone. By 2000, global temperatures will be 11 degrees cooler, and we will be in a new Ice Age. On January 1, 2000 “Y2K”, computers will go haywire and plunge the civilized world into chaos. As the 21st century progresses, stronger Katrina-like hurricanes will occur more frequently. In 2016, scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton will win the popular vote by double digits and defeat Donald Trump in an Electoral College landslide. By 2050, consistent with rapidly rising global temperatures shown in a hockey stick graph, 15 U.S. cities will be under water. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic will possibly result in as many as 2.2 million U.S. deaths.  Admittedly, the jury is still out on COVID-19, but given that the current U.S. death toll — depending on which CDC website you visit — is either about 47,000 or 78,000, it is highly unlikely fatalities will reach 2.2 million. Indeed, they may not even surpass the 100,000 Americans who died of seasonal flu in 1968 or the 116,000 who died in 1957. Note: The U.S. economy did not shut down in either of those years, and we survived…

Trump Working to Cut China From Supply Chain

Thomas Gallatin

Way back in August 2019 BC (Before Coronavirus), President Donald Trump called on U.S. companies to “immediately start looking for an alternative to China” for their supply chains. At the time, it was only the latest of Trump’s efforts to combat the Chinese communist regime’s long-running abuse of American companies via China’s unfair trade policies. Trump was really pointing to the fact that China remains one of our nation’s biggest enemies and therefore can’t be trusted. Naturally, his message was widely panned by the mainstream media, though following Beijing’s unleashing of the COVID-19 pandemic onto the world, and the ChiComs’ subsequent propaganda campaign to cover it up and deflect guilt, Trump has been proven correct yet again.

On Tuesday, the Trump administration announced that it is “turbocharging” efforts to spur American businesses to redirect their supply chains out of China and back to the U.S. or to other more friendly and trustworthy nations. As a top U.S. official noted, “This moment is a perfect storm; the pandemic has crystallized all the worries that people have had about doing business with China. All the money that people think they made by making deals with China before, now they’ve been eclipsed many fold by the economic damage [from the pandemic].”The administration’s “turbocharging” is an effort to create an alliance of “trusted partners” dubbed the “Economic Prosperity Network.” Reuters reports that this alliance “would include companies and civil society groups operating under the same set of standards on everything from digital business, energy and infrastructure to research, trade, education and commerce.”As officials explained to Reuters, “The U.S. Commerce Department, State and other agencies are looking for ways to push companies to move both sourcing and manufacturing out of China. Tax incentives and potential re-shoring subsidies are among measures being considered to spur changes.”In light of China’s aggressive and ongoing underhanded tactics of shifting the blame, lying about its knowledge of the virus, and hoarding or producing substandard medical supplies, it’s a welcome development for Trump and the U.S. to lead the world in holding Beijing accountable. This was part of the reason Trump was elected in the first place, and now a majority of Americans are in agreement with the president on China.  ~The Patriot Post
