scumbag-Schumer Defends Blocking Small Business Aid

By Graham Piro{ } ~ Senate Minority Leader Chuck scumbag-Schumer (D., N.Y.) defended blocking small business aid one day after the Paycheck Protection Program ran out of money and the Senate adjourned for the weekend… “First of all, to give the money to the PPP program without correcting it would make no sense. You would still have more than half of the businesses left out and getting no money,” scumbag-Schumer said on Morning Joe Friday morning. “Don’t just ask Democrats. Eight Republican senators said that in a letter to Mitch McConnell. The Chamber of Commerce, hardly a Democratic organization, also agreed. So we’ve got to fix that program as we give it more money.” scumbag-Schumer also pushed back on claims that Democrats were blocking funding, saying the claims weren’t true and the program should be funded. He said Democrats were delaying the aid because they want to expand funding to include more priorities. He added that lawmakers are making progress towards an agreement. scumbag-Schumer’s comments come one day after the $350 billion Paycheck Protection Program, which gives forgivable loans to small businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic, ran out of funding. Senate Republicans introduced a measure to provide the program with an additional $250 billion last week, only for Democrats to block the measure. The Senate adjourned Thursday without coming to an agreement on additional funding for the program. It will not reconvene until Monday.  Senate Democrats Tina Smith (Minn.) and Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) called for immediate small business funding after their colleagues resisted Republican efforts to fund the program.  scumbag-Schumer tried to address concerns that lawmakers in his party were bucking party leadership. “I spoke to Senator Sinema. Look at her Twitter. She’s very smart. She said both sides ought to come together and come to an agreement. That’s what we think,” scumbag-Schumer said…

WHO Director Has a Long History of Cover-Ups

by Soeren Kern{ } ~ The director general of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is facing increased scrutiny over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic… which has infected more than two million people around the world and killed at least 150,000. Adhanom, who goes by the name Tedros, is an Ethiopian microbiologist who, with the help of China, began a five-year term as head of the WHO in July 2017. He has been accused of misrepresenting the severity and spread of the coronavirus in an attempt to pander to China. The historical record shows that Tedros, the first African and the first non-physician to lead the WHO, has a long history of covering up epidemics and human rights abuses in Ethiopia, where he served as the minister of health and minister of foreign affairs. In May 2017, when Tedros emerged as the top candidate in a three-way race to lead the WHO, the New York Times reported accusations that Tedros covered up three cholera epidemics in Ethiopia when he was the country’s health minister between 2005 and 2012. Tedros claimed that cholera outbreaks occurring in 2006, 2009 and 2011 were only “acute watery diarrhea” — an infectious disease known in the rest of the world as cholera. He said that the outbreaks were limited to remote areas of the country where laboratory testing was “difficult” and that international concerns were overblown. The epidemics eventually reached neighboring countries including Kenya, Somalia and Sudan. The New York Times explained: “WHO officials have complained privately that Ethiopian officials are not telling the truth about these outbreaks. Testing for Vibrio cholerae bacteria, which cause cholera, is simple and takes less than two days. “During earlier outbreaks, various news organizations, including The Guardian and The Washington Post, reported that unnamed Ethiopian officials were pressuring aid agencies to avoid using the word ‘cholera’ and not to report the number of people affected. “But cholera bacteria were found in stool samples tested by outside experts. As soon as severe diarrhea began appearing in neighboring countries, the cause was identified as cholera. “United Nations officials said more aid could have been delivered to Ethiopia had the truth been told.” The director of the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University, Lawrence O. Gostin, said that he called attention to Ethiopia’s long history of denying cholera outbreaks because he believed the WHO “might lose its legitimacy” if it is run by a representative of a country that itself covers up epidemics…

Governor Abbott begins the process of reopening Texas

By M. Dowling{ } ~ Governor Greg Abbott released three Executive Orders Friday to begin the process of opening Texas… Activities and services that pose the most minimal threat of spreading COV-19 can reopen to start. Schools will remain closed for the remainder of the year. The governor said we must be guided by “data and doctors,” but with a strong plan, we can also begin to reopen Texas. The critics are out on social media, claiming he’s a disgrace. Governor Abbott says Texas has the second-highest COV-19 recovery rate in the U.S. The state appears to have the testing sites under control. Hooray for Governor Abbott having the courage to be the first one to re-open. It’s a critical state in beginning the process of economic recovery.

Retirement funds for federal, military retirees may soon be investing in China defense firms

By Christine Dolan { } ~ America’s top investment firms predict China is poised to overtake the United States as the world’s largest economy. U.S defense officials warn Beijing is seeking military supremacy in the Pacific rim… U.S. intelligence keeps highlighting Chinese efforts to steal U.S. trade secrets and intellectual property. And officials from President Trump on down accuse China of hiding the severity of the coronavirus, setting back the global response to the pandemic by weeks. Yet despite all that consternation, the U.S. entity is about to embark on a new effort that could benefit the Chinese economy, including its defense industrial complex, through investments of the retirement funds of federal and U.S. military retirees. The main actor in this little-noticed drama is the five-person Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) that administers the Federal Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the 401(k) for federal workers which serves nearly 6 million current and retired military and civilian federal employees and controls tens of billions of dollars. In November 2017, FRTIB Chairman Michael Kennedy, who is Managing Director of Korn/Ferry International, and his board decided to change $50 billion in U.S. government retirement funds to a new global investment index known as the MSCI ACWI Index. The board hopes the change allows for greater returns on investments in emerging Asian markets but critics warn the index would allow investments in adversarial nation-owned companies in Russia and China. The board is in the final stages of completing that transition this month, despite repeated and vocal objections ranging from former Navy Secretary Richard Spencer, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and a bipartisan group of lawmakers led by Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H. In their October letter to the pension board, Rubio and Shaheen wrote, “This decision would effectively invest the retirement savings of America’s civil servants and military personnel in constituent companies of the ACWI ex-US IMI that assist in the Chinese government’s military activities, espionage, and human rights abuses, as well as many other Chinese companies that lack basic financial transparency.” “It is our responsibility to these public servants to ensure that the investment of their retirement savings does not undermine the American interests for which they serve,” they added…

Senator calls for Justice Department to investigate IRS sending stimulus checks to dead people

By Nicholas Ballasy { } ~ Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is asking the Justice Department to investigate the coronavirus stimulus checks being sent to deceased Americans… but still supports another round of direct payments in a future stimulus package. The New York Democrat said Thursday that she’s calling for the investigation following reports this week by Just the News and others about some of the payments being mailed or transferred into the bank accounts of deceased Americans, in part because payments are based on data from 2018 tax filings if a 2019 filing has yet to be received. The Trump administration quickly put together the distribution process to help Americans financially hit by the virus. However, the fast process has also resulted in several problems including payments to the deceased and some people not being able to update the bank account information used for their 2018 tax returns, which has caused the IRS to deposit stimulus payments in the wrong accounts. Democrat leaders including House Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi have called for more direct payments to be included in any future coronavirus stimulus package. Gillibrand was asked if she is skeptical of supporting future direct payments in another COVID-19 economic relief bill given reports of stimulus payments made in error. “No, I think it’s important that we send money directly to taxpayers for the duration of the pandemic,” she said. “Right now, we have 20 million people who filed for unemployment. There’s millions more who are still trying to file for unemployment and may not have gotten through.” “If there are examples of fraud, corruption or mistakes, those should be investigated and we should get to the bottom of it. But it doesn’t mean the money isn’t useful to other people who desperately need it,” she also said, on a coronavirus conference call with Rep. Antonio Delgado (D-N.Y.) Delgado said he still supports more direct payments in the next COVID-19 legislation Congress passes, despite reports of payments made in error…

Barr Warns Durham Investigation Findings Are ‘Troubling’

Harold Hutchison

Attorney General William Barr is saying the right things about U.S. Attorney John Durham’s criminal investigations into the deep state over the Russia-collusion hoax. For the moment, that’s all he can do.

“My own view is that the evidence shows that we’re not dealing with just mistakes or sloppiness,” Barr said. “There is something far more troubling here, and we’re going to get to the bottom of it. And if people broke the law, and we can establish that with the evidence, they will be prosecuted.”However, it takes more than words to get the one thing we’ve been looking for from Spygate: Accountability. The fact of the matter is that the spying on Donald Trump’s presidential campaign during 2016 and the later Russiagate probe that proved to be a big nothingburger  with a side order of dubious convictions on process crimes may prove to be one of the most massive abuses of power we have ever seen in this country’s history. The Federal Bureau of Investigation was used to spy on the political campaigns of the opposition party. Action must be taken to ensure it never happens again.Imagine if George W. Bush had turned the FBI on the “Gitmo Bar.” How would the same press outlets that rushed to defend the likes of scumbag-James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and others have reacted? Somehow, we doubt the press would have been defending Bush’s efforts — even with the clear evidence that al-Qaida was receiving a level of aid and comfort that makes Hanoi Jane’s North Vietnamese photo-op look like peanuts. If intelligence investigators had come up with concrete evidence of what had been claimed by the likes of lead Democrat witch-hunter scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff, it would have been a completely different story. Had such proof emerged, it would have been evidence of serious wrongdoing. The problem was, after all the hype and the phony claims, there was no evidence of collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign.Turning the FBI on political opponents should not happen unless there is an exceptionally grave threat to national security. Yet the only “evidence” was a DNC-funded dossier — tainted by Russian disinformation, no less. Worse, those investigating knew it, but the investigation still continued. The FBI spying on Trump was not the only deep-state abuse. We can look at Lois Lerner and the IRS targeting the Tea Party. There were the “John Doe” investigations in Wisconsin. We can look at the threats from Democrat state attorneys general to use RICO on opponents of the Left’s environmental agenda. We also cannot forget the actions of Andrew Cuomo and Letitia James against the NRA. In none of these cases have those abused seen any measure of justice for the wrong inflicted on them.If that is not bad enough, here’s what is really frightening: Joe Biden is running to defeat Donald Trump. Does anyone seriously think loose lips liar-Biden was out of the loop on the misuse of the FBI’s counterintelligence powers during his time as vice president? We wouldn’t be surprised if the abuses of the scumbag/liar-nObama administration come back — only this time on steroids.  ~The Patriot Post
