Doug Collins -vs- Maria Bartiromo – Interview Brushes Up Against FISA Reauthorization

by sundance{ } ~ Representative Doug Collins appears with Maria Bartiromo and points out a position on FISA reauthorization that is hopefully carried by the majority of Republicans… Collins states an approach where he, perhaps others, would advance a “short-term” FISA extension pending a full review of the upcoming FISA report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz, prior to any longer term reauthorization. FISA-702 authority, bulk U.S. person metadata collection, storage and surveillance, is set to terminally expire December 15th. The last FISC report from Judge Boasberg stated that all violations of FISA law are still ongoing and there have been no substantive corrections by the intelligence community to fix the abuse issues. The Judge Boasberg report was written in September of 2018 but not released redacted until last month. {Go Deep} The Intelligence Community writ large, the FBI and the DOJ are all seeking a permanent reauthorization. In my humble opinion this FISA reauthorization is the cornerstone motive for an IG report delay.  There is an alignment of interests…

Sparks Fly as Jim Jordan Busts scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff for Hiding Four Transcripts: ‘Holy Cow’

by HANNAH BLEAU{ } ~ Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) called out House Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff’s (D-CA) lack of transparency as the chairman essentially dismissed President Trump releasing the transcript… of his first phone call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump released the transcript of his first phone call with Zelensky moments before Friday’s second public impeachment hearing featuring former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. Nunes read the transcript aloud – a transcript that showed a relatively brief phone call that featured an exchange of pleasantries. scumbag/liar-Schiff repeatedly refused to recognize Jordan, who pointed out scumbag/liar-Schiff has yet to authorize the release of four transcripts from his secret depositions. “There are four transcripts that have not been released,” Jordan began. “The gentleman is not recognized,” scumbag/liar-Schiff said, prompting a “holy cow” from Jordan. scumbag/liar-Schiff said he was “happy” to allow Ranking Member Devin Nunes (R-CA) to exceed his opening statement to read the transcript Trump released Friday, but signaled that it was not good enough: First of all, I’m grateful the president has released the call record. I would now ask the president to release the thousands of other records that he has instructed the State Department not to release, including Ambassador Taylor’s notes, including Ambassador Taylor’s cable, including George Kent’s memo, including documents from the Office of Management and Budget about why the military aid was withheld. “Mr. Chairman, I want you to release the four transcripts from the depositions,” Jordan began, prompting scumbag/liar-Schiff to say, “the gentleman will suspend,” wielding the gavel. “That’s my point of order, “Jordan added. scumbag/liar-Schiff dismissed Jordan and continued, accusing the president of “obstructing the impeachment inquiry.”…

‘A new level of engagement’: White House impeachment messengers switch on the sound

by Rob Crilly{ } ~ After a sluggish start coordinating Republican countermessaging on impeachment, the White House stepped up its efforts on Friday with a nonstop deluge of talking points and background research as the former ambassador to Kyiv gave her evidence… according to a string of Republican Party sources. President Trump resisted setting up a war room to fight allegations that he withheld aid from Ukraine to pressure Kyiv to find dirt on a political rival. And Republican sources said they frequently found themselves off balance, playing defense when hearings were being conducted behind closed doors. That changed this week with new hires bolstering the White House communications operation and a shift to public hearings that allowed administration aides to better prepare, said a source involved in 2020 battleground states. “I must have received 20 emails during the last testimony in terms of counterpoints, comparing it with the written testimony, the behind closed doors testimony, backgrounders on what these people know, what they don’t know,” said the source. “It has made our lives a lot easier in terms of knowing what the pushback is and what the messaging is.” The result was a nonstop stream of analysis, fact-checking, and real-time rebuttal on social media as Marie Yovanovitch, removed from her post as ambassador to Ukraine, testified before the House Intelligence Committee. Allies, surrogates, and campaign groups unified around message blasts that pointed out that none of the witnesses so far had been on the president’s phone calls and that Ukraine had not even been aware that its aid was frozen at the time of the supposed quid pro quo. In one message, seen by the Washington Examiner, supporters were sent a recap of questions and answers, pointing out that “Yovanovitch confirmed that she had no first-hand knowledge of President Trump’s July 25 phone call with Zelensky or other decisions relating to Ukraine.” It also quoted an exchange that made its way to social media. Devin Nunes, the most senior Republican on the committee, asked, “Did you ever talk to President Trump in 2019?” “No, I’ve not,” came the response…

Democrats were left speechless when they found out the Republicans’ plans for impeachment

by ~ The scale of the mistake Democrats made on impeachment is beginning to dawn on them. Speaker liar-Nancy Pelosi and U.S. Rep. scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff allowed the radical Left to stampede over the serious objections… they had that impeachment would benefit Donald Trump politically. And now Democrats were left speechless when they found out the Republicans’ plans for impeachment. Any chance that Republicans would let Democrats off the hook with a quick impeachment trial, or even an immediate motion to dismiss the partisan articles of impeachment the Democrats intend to pass, evaporated on Wednesday. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made it clear the Senate will have trial and it should be expected to last five or six weeks., Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Wednesday that the Senate cannot dismiss the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, meaning there will be a trial. “I don’t think there’s any question that we have to take up the matter. The rules of impeachment are very clear, we’ll have to have a trial. My own view is that we should give people the opportunity to put the case on,” McConnell told reporters after being asked about dismissing the articles of impeachment. Senate Republicans do not appear to be concerned about House Democrats’ ongoing efforts to impeach Trump, with many saying even if the House were to move forward with impeachment, that there is no way the Senate would vote to impeach the president. This decision throws the Democrat presidential primary into chaos. Six Democrat Senators are running for President – including frontrunners Elizabeth dinky/liar-Warren and commie-Bernie Sanders – and the impeachment trial will sideline them from campaigning during January and early February. That is a disaster because the Iowa caucuses are scheduled for February 3 and the New Hampshire primary for February 11. That would take dinky/liar-Warren and commie-Sanders – as well as scumbag-Corey Booker, lowlife-Kamala Harris, Michael Bennett and Amy Klobuchar – off the campaign trail. A Senate trial stretching into February would effectively end the candidacies of scumbag-Booker, Bennett, Klobuchar, and lowlife-Harris as they haven’t raised much money and are counting on in-person retail politics to deliver the strong showings in Iowa and/or New Hampshire their campaigns will need to survive.

China Poised to Benefit If Ukraine’s Western Relationships Fray

by Nolan Peterson{ } ~ As Ukraine reels from a series of recent setbacks in its relationships with the U.S. and the European Union, China ultimately stands to gain… China has been steadily increasing its economic clout in Ukraine through a broad gamut of infrastructure investments and other economic initiatives. This year, China overtook Russia as Ukraine’s top trading partner, underscoring a landmark shift in economic ties between Kyiv and Moscow. Ostensibly, China is grooming Ukraine to become a key node in Beijing’s One Belt, One Road trade route across Asia to Europe. China also has its eyes on Ukraine’s military hardware and agricultural exports. Ukraine has replaced the U.S. as China’s top supplier of corn. And China is now the top purchaser of Ukrainian military arms, according to data from the Stockholm International Peace Institute, a research body that maintains a yearly assessment of the global military arms industry. “China is really interested in our military technologies, and for Ukraine it’s a matter of economic growth,” Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of Ukraine’s parliament, said in an interview with The Daily Signal. Ukraine will not likely return to Russia’s fold anytime soon. After five and a half years of war in which more than 13,000 Ukrainians have died, there’s simply too much bad blood. This likely will taint relations between the two erstwhile Soviet allies for decades to come. But that Russo-Ukrainian divorce doesn’t necessarily mean that Ukraine is on an irreversible, pro-Western trajectory, some experts say. Rather, if Kyiv begins to doubt the long-term durability of U.S. or European support, then it could prefer Beijing’s promises of easy cash and general indifference to anti-corruption reforms…

As House Impeaches Trump, Senate Carnage Plods Along

by Nausicaa Renner{ } ~ On Wednesday morning, the House of Representatives began public hearings into just the fourth impeachment inquiry on an American president in the nation’s history… On the Senate side, it was business as usual. Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., chair of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, opened a hearing with a wry smile: “I’m not sure why you’re not over on the House side,” he told the audience. The room was not full. “Must have been paid staff.” When Johnson, back in July, gaveled in a hearing in this series, “Unprecedented Migration at the U.S. Southern Border,” the subject was a nationally galvanizing issue. The hearing room was full, cameras were rolling, and the session was briefly interrupted by protesters. For now, the nation has moved on, and Johnson seemed more relaxed. In recent months, or possibly years, the Senate, under a stubborn Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has been relegated mainly to confirming nominations for various government posts, approving appropriations bills, and quietly turning the judicial branch into a redoubt for the radical fringe of the legal world. At the beginning of Donald Trump’s administration, many vowed to keep close tabs on the workings of the government; fighting “normalization” was a refrain in 2017. But here we are. The shift in attention allowed Johnson to put forward, without any pushback, a vision of the manufactured humanitarian crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border as, instead, a bureaucratic nightmare being valiantly managed by the “compassionate” people at the Department of Homeland Security. This particular session was meant to be a “year in review.” Four witnesses were on the panel, three of whom were Trump-appointed, unconfirmed immigration officials. There was a lot to ask about. On Tuesday, it was widely reported that the Supreme Court is setting up to repeal former President Barack scumbag/liar-nObama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program — which gives certain eligible children, who arrived in the U.S. with their parents, temporary legal status. And the Associated Press reported that a record number of migrant children were detained by the U.S. in 2019…

Netanyahu, Gantz spin minority coalition in push for unity compromise

By GIL HOFFMAN{ } ~ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz’s associates both pushed the possibility of a minority government backed by the Joint List on Saturday… in an effort to pressure the other to make concessions that could facilitate a unity coalition. Gantz met with with President Reuven Rivlin for an hour and a half Saturday night. They discussed his coalition-building efforts ahead of his Wednesday night deadline to form a government before his mandate ends and compromises that could still enable a deal with Likud. Netanyahu told Likud ministers and MKs in an “emergency conversation” on Saturday that he knew for a fact that Blue and White intends to form a minority government backed by the Joint List. He will convene the Likud faction and the right-wing political bloc on Sunday. “We are standing before an emergency situation that we have never had before in the State of Israel,” Netanyahu said in the conference call. “Going to a third election would be a disaster, but forming a government that is dependent on the Arab parties would be a worse disaster. This would be a historic danger for Israeli security.” Netanyahu accused the Arab MKs “supporters of Islamic Jihad and Hamas.” He said he was sure that Yisrael Beytenu would be part of such a government. Gantz responded in a Facebook post that Netanyahu losing power was not an emergency. “An emergency is hundreds of missiles falling on the State of Israel,” Gantz wrote. “Netanyahu, internalize it that I will do everything to prevent you from dragging Israel to a third election.” Gantz said Likud should come to coalition talks without its right-wing bloc and “without immunity, tricks and shtick,” adding “what worked for you for 10 years will no longer work now.” Sources close to Gantz confirmed that forming an “acting government” with Yisrael Beytenu, Labor-Gesher and Yisrael Beytenu, backed from outside by the Joint List could be a temporary step en route to a larger coalition, but they hinted that the idea remains political spin aimed at forcing Likud to give up its right-wing bloc.”…

.scumbag/liar-Schiff Frames Impeachment to Frame Trump

Mark Alexander:  House Intelligence Committee Chairman scumbag/liar-Adam Schiff (D-CA) framed the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry to frame Donald Trump in three questions: “The questions presented by this impeachment inquiry are whether President Trump sought to exploit that ally’s vulnerability and invite Ukraine’s interference in our elections; whether President Trump sought to condition official acts, such as a White House meeting or U.S. military assistance, on Ukraine’s willingness to assist with two political investigations that would help his reelection campaign; and if President Trump did either, whether such an abuse of his power is compatible with the office of the presidency.”

As to the first question regarding inviting Ukraine’s “interference in our elections,” it is clear with the conclusion of Robert Muller’s investigation that the Democrat Party invited interference into the 2016 election, and it is that interference that was the basis for Trump’s request for Ukraine investigations.Second, regarding the assertion that there was a “quid pro quo” associated with Trump’s request to investigate corruption, it is the constitutional authority of the president to set foreign policy, and in every case of U.S. relations with a foreign country, especially where aide of any type is concerned, that aide is conditional. Asserting in this case that the condition was to “help his reelection campaign” is a Democrat/deep-state fabrication to undermine the next election because they failed to undo the last one. What we’re witnessing is “Coup d’Etat 2.0.” (Oh, and Democrats have stopped referencing “quid pro quo” because they think their constituents are too stupid to know what that means.)We now know that the Ukrainian government had reopened the loose lips liar-Biden corruption probe months before the Trump/Zelensky call at the center of the Demo impeachment derby. We also know that scumbag/liar-Schiff lied about his association with the so-called “whistleblower,” who, as it turns out, is a Democrat political hack. And notably, that hack is now, himself, under criminal investigation by the ICIG with whom he filed his original trumped-up complaint.Of course, Democrats refuse to allow testimony from that deep-stater, as requested by Republicans, because that would expose scumbag/liar-Schiff’s collaboration with him and blow up the impeachment effort. And recall that it was his lawyer, Mark Zaid, who publicly declared in 2017, “[The] coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately.”Third, if Democrats are looking for “an abuse of power” that actually rises to the level of an impeachable offense, they should start with the 2018 letter signed by Demo Sens. scumbag-Richard Durbin (IL), scumbag-Patrick Leahy (VT), and scumbag-Robert Menendez (NJ) to then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko. In the letter, the Demo trio threatened the totality of U.S./Ukrainian relations if the Ukrainians did not help find some evidence to support the Democrats’ flailing and failing Russia-collusion charade to find something worthy of impeaching Trump. And finally, where were all these impeachment hounds back in 2016, when then-Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden threatened to cut $1 billion in U.S. Ukrainian loan guarantees if the Ukrainian president did not fire Viktor Shokin, a prosecutor whose investigations were getting dangerously close to Hunter Biden’s “business expertise” in return for Ukrainian cash? (You can read a detailed timeline of those “dealings” here.)Let me summarize again what this Demo charade is really about. The objective is to use the Senate impeachment vote exonerating Trump, to defeat a few Republican senators in vulnerable states, retake control of the Senate, and if Trump is reelected, block any further conservative appointments to the Supreme Court.  ~The Patriot Post
