Media Editors: On the Campaign Front

CAREER-HIGH APPROVAL: According to ABC News, “Donald Trump reached the highest job approval rating of his career in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll and runs competitively for re-election against four of five possible Democratic contenders. … Forty-four percent of Americans approve of Trump’s overall job performance, up a slight 5 percentage points from April and 2 points better than his peak early in his presidency.” This despite other polling reflecting the Leftmedia’s nonstop disinformation campaign.

MORE FREEBIES: The Daily Caller reports: “lowlife-Kamala Harris introduced a $100 billion plan Saturday to help black people buy homes. … The program would provide up to $25,000 in the form of grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to help pay down payments or closing costs. The grants would help an estimated 4 million individuals or families who make up to $100,000, or $125,000, respectively, and are looking to rent or buy homes in high-cost areas.” The timing is certainly calculated, as lowlife-Harris’s second-quarter fundraising was a relatively lackluster $12 million.

UNCLE loose lips liar-JOE’S MALARKEY: “Former Vice President loose lips liar-Joe Biden on Saturday apologized for recent comments about working with segregationist senators in his early days in the U.S. Senate, saying he understands now his remarks could have been offensive to some,” the Associated Press informs us. Meanwhile, Fox News says that “loose lips liar-Biden faced mockery Friday for claiming that Russia wouldn’t dare ‘undo’ elections on his watch.” Republican House Whip Steve Scalise retorted: “Russian interference in America’s elections happened on scumbag/liar-nObama and loose lips liar-Biden’s watch. That’s irrefutable.”

POLITICAL OPTICS: “All seven Democrats in the Senate running for president were absent Wednesday for a vote to send $4.6 billion in emergency humanitarian relief to the southern border to help thousands of migrant families and unaccompanied children,” according to The Washington Free Beacon. What good does it do them politically to actually help ameliorate the issue?

Government & Politics

READY TO DEPORT: “The Trump administration’s top official at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) said immigration authorities are ready to identify, detain and eventually deport approximately one million undocumented immigrants with pending removal orders.” (CBS News)

ADJUSTMENTS AT THE DOJ: “The Justice Department (DOJ) is shifting matters involving efforts to include a citizenship question on the 2020 census to a new team of lawyers. … On Friday, DOJ lawyers told a federal judge that the Trump administration is reviewing ‘all available options’ for adding the question. President Trump also announced that he is considering an executive order to include the question.” (The Hill)

Culture & Heartland

A SIP OF SANITY: “A Starbucks employee in Tempe, Ariz. caused a national stir after being extraordinarily disrespectful to some police officers on Independence Day. … On Sunday, the company issued an apology … after meeting with Tempe Chief of Police Sylvia Moir. … It is refreshing — and a little surprising — to see them issue an emphatic apology in this case.” (PJ Media)

WRONG CROWD: “Billionaire Jeffrey Epstein has been charged with sex trafficking underage girls in New York and Florida. … The new charges accused him of sex trafficking minors between 2002 and 2005 by paying them cash for massages and sexually abusing them in his New York apartment and his Palm Beach residence. … Epstein — who is friends with President Trump and former President scumbag/liar-Bill Clinton — avoided federal criminal charges in 2007 and 2008 after agreeing to a plea deal in which he pleaded guilty to states charges of soliciting prostitution and served 13 months in a Florida county and registered as a sex offender.” (Fox News)

Around the World

BAD EXAMPLES: “After the United States won the Women’s World Cup by beating Netherlands 2-0 in Sunday’s final match, a group of American soccer fans in France chanted an expletive about President Trump on a live television broadcast.” (The Washington Times)

MADURO’S CRIMES: “A new report by the United Nations’ human rights watchdog paints an unpleasant picture of repression and economic collapse in Venezuela. President Nicolas Maduro’s government, it says, punishes dissidents with arbitrary arrests, torture, and even murder.” (Reason)

Iran to enrich uranium ‘based on our needs,’ in defiance of 2015 nuclear accord

By Dom Calicchio

{ } ~ In a second breach of the 2015 nuclear agreement it signed with world powers, Iran on Sunday said it will raise its enrichment of uranium… Iran will go beyond the limit of 3.67 percent enrichment to a new percentage “based on our needs,” government spokesman Ali Rabiei said at a news conference, without specifying a new limit. The announcement was expected to further heighten tensions between Tehran and the U.S. The move comes one year after President Trump announced that the U.S. would leave the accord that the scumbag/liar-Obama administration and other governments had entered with Iran’s leadership. On Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macron told his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, by phone that he was trying to find a way to resume dialogue between Iran and Western partners by July 15, the Associated Press reported. Previously, Iran admitted breaking the deal’s 661-pound limit on its low-enriched uranium stockpile. Experts warn that higher enrichment and a growing stockpile of uranium would make an atomic bomb possible sooner for Iran. The 2015 deal’s proponents say the accord was designed to prevent Iran from developing a bomb – which Iran has claimed it wasn’t interested in building anyway. Prior to Sunday’s announcement, Iran had warned Europe that it would begin pulling away from the deal in response to sanctions imposed by the Trump administration on Iran’s economy and its top officials. Tehran is hoping that accord signees Russia, China and Europe can help provide relief from the U.S. sanctions, the Wall Street Journal reported. Tensions between the U.S. and Iran began rising in May when the U.S. deployed additional troops and military capabilities to the Mideast. That was soon followed by mysterious oil tanker blasts near the Strait of Hormuz, for which some U.S. officials have blamed Tehran, and Iran shooting down a U.S. military drone – which nearly prompted a U.S. military response by President Trump. At Washington’s urging, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) plans to meet Wednesday to review Iran’s recent actions and possibly issue a formal censure, the Journal reported.

Damaged Russian Sub Linked to Underwater Drone Program

By Bill Gertz

{ } ~ A fire aboard a secret Russian nuclear research vessel that killed 14 Russians may have been involved in secret operations by Moscow… to support underwater drone operations. Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that the fire broke out aboard a research submersible designed to study the seafloor and ocean bottom on July 1, killing a total of 14 “submariners” from smoke inhalation. The location of the accident was not specified other than Russian territorial waters with reports from Russia saying the incident occurred in the Barents Sea, and the submarine described as the AS-12, nicknamed “Losharik,” was towed to the Northern Fleet headquarters at Severomorsk. According to state-run Russian news reports, the Losharik is designed for deep sea military missions, such as tapping into undersea communications cables. The submarine reportedly is capable of diving to nearly 20,000 feet—deeper than other submarines can go because of the great pressures. It is powered by a single nuclear reactor and can travel up to 30 knots underwater. The submarine is said to be constructed with ball-like components that give its hull strength. The nickname Losharik is from a Russian cartoon horse made up of balloon-like spheres. In April, Moscow announced the launch of a very large nuclear-powered research submarine called the Belogorod that will carry nuclear drones…

Senior Iranian cleric says UK should be ‘scared’ of Tehran’s response over ship

by ~ A senior Iranian cleric was quoted Saturday as saying the UK should be “scared” about possible retaliation over the detention of an Iranian ship in Gibraltar… on suspicion of carrying crude oil to Syria in violation of EU sanctions. “I am openly saying that Britain should be scared of Iran’s retaliatory measures over the illegal seizure of the Iranian oil tanker,” said Mohammad Ali Mousavi Jazayeri, a member of the powerful clerical body the Assembly of Experts, according to the semi-official Fars news agency, quoted by the Reuters news agency. “We have shown that we will never remain silent against bullying… As we gave a staunch response to the American drone, the appropriate response to this illegal capture of the tanker will be given by Iran as well,” he said, referring to the downing of a US drone last month which Washington insists was over international waters but Tehran says was inside its airspace. The statement came after a former leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Friday threatened to seize a British tanker in retaliation. “If Britain does not release the Iranian oil tanker, it is the authorities duty to seize a British oil tanker,” tweeted Mohsen Rezaei, who is now secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council, a powerful state body. “Islamic Iran in its 40-year history has never initiated hostilities in any battles but has also never hesitated in responding to bullies,” Rezaei wrote…

All 2020 Senate Dems Absent for Vote to Send Humanitarian Relief to Border

By Cameron Cawthorne

{ } ~ All seven Democrats in the Senate running for president were absent Wednesday for a vote to send $4.6 billion in emergency humanitarian relief to the southern border… to help thousands of migrant families and unaccompanied children. Less than 24 hours after House Democrats passed a measure Tuesday night, the Republican-controlled Senate rejected it with a 55-37 vote and approved their own measure with overwhelming bipartisan support with a 84-8 vote, according to the Washington Post. Republicans and the White House far prefer the Senate measure but House Speaker liar-Nancy Pulosi is pressing for quick negotiations to merge the bills — promising that Democrats won’t knuckle under to demands to send the Senate bill directly to President Donald Trump without changes. The Senate vote sent the must-pass legislation measure back the Democratic-controlled House. Next steps are unclear, but liar-Pulosi quickly dismissed speculation that the Democratic-controlled House will simply accept the Senate measure, which cleared a key committee last week with just one dissenting vote. Asked if the House would pass the Senate bill and send it to Trump, liar-Pulosi said, “No.” “They passed their bill, we respect that. We passed our bill, we hope they will respect that. And if there’s some improvements that we think can be reconciled,” liar-Pulosi said. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) slammed House Democrats on the floor Wednesday, saying their priorities revolved around “Resistance theater,” adding that the Senate “has a better and more bipartisan way forward.”…

Official Raised Alarm About Deleted scumbag/liar-Clinton Emails

By Todd Shepherd

{ } ~ A former top official in the U.S. State Department testified that he raised concerns about deleted emails from scumbag/liar-Hillary Clinton’s personal email system… scumbag/liar-Clinton set up and used a private email server for the majority of her time as secretary of state during the scumbag/liar-nObama administration. John Hackett served as deputy director and then director of the department’s Information Programs and Services from 2013-16, which handles document management for Freedom of Information Act requests among other things. Hackett said he was concerned over news that the scumbag/liar-Clinton team had segregated and then deleted about 30,000 emails out of a larger batch set to be turned back over to the department, and what criteria the team had applied when deciding which emails to delete. Hacket was answering the questions under deposition as part of a FOIA lawsuit still underway by conservative watchdog Judicial Watch. The 30,000 deleted emails were a source of controversy throughout the 2016 campaign. In another part of the deposition, Hackett said he also voiced concerns about how some of scumbag/liar-Clinton’s emails were handled in response to FOIA requests, adding he thought some bureaucrats used the wrong legal exemption to withhold or redact some information…

Trump Salutes America, Triggering Leftists

Thomas Gallatin: It wasn’t all about President Donald Trump, as many Leftmedia talkingheads bitterly alleged. Rather, Trump’s “Salute to America” Independence Day parade was a celebration of our country. In his speech, Trump highlighted our nation’s history as one founded and grounded in the defense of Liberty. “It is the epic tale of a great nation whose people have risked everything for what they know is right and what they know is true,” Trump declared. “It is the chronicle of brave citizens who never give up on the dream of a better and brighter future. And it is the saga of 13 separate colonies that united to form the most just and virtuous republic ever conceived. On this day, 243 years ago, our Founding Fathers pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to declare independence and defend our God-given rights.”

Trump specifically noted the essential role America’s military continues to play in both securing and maintaining our Liberty: “Today, just as it did 243 years ago, the future of American Freedom rests on the shoulders of men and women willing to defend it.” And far from being divisive, as so many on the Left contend, Trump’s message was one of unity as he declared, “As long as we stay true to our cause, as long as we remember our great history, as long as we never stop fighting for a better future, then there will be nothing that America cannot do. We will never forget that we are Americans and that the future belongs to us. We share one home, one heart, and we are all made by one Almighty God.”

But being a proud American today is a bridge too far for many Democrats, who have capitulated to the leftist narrative that erroneously blames America for much of the world’s problems rather than recognizing the U.S. as the number-one proponent of Liberty and justice. And due to their Trump Derangement Syndrome, Democrats have fallen into expressing only antagonism toward the pro-America message.

Finally, U.S. Air Force veteran John Cooper, writing for The Daily Signal, summed it up well when he observed that the “‘Salute to America’ is about one thing: reminding our nation of those who stand vigilant in defense of our liberty. It’s about honoring those who have given, and continue to give, so much for our nation. And it’s about remembering why we can celebrate this day year after year.” ~The Patriot Post
