Monday Top News Executive Summary

Media Editors: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen will be stepping aside and Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan will be taking over at DHS. Nielsen stated, “I have agreed to stay on as Secretary through Wednesday, April 10th to assist with an orderly transition and ensure that key DHS missions are not impacted.” According to CBS News, “Her departure is a part of a massive DHS overhaul engineered and directed by top Trump adviser Stephen Miller… It’s unclear whether Nielsen is deciding to leave voluntarily, or whether she has been pressured to resign.”

The Washington Post says, “Trump said Friday that he wants someone ‘tougher’ to lead the country’s top immigration enforcement agency, unexpectedly dumping his own nominee for the job.” U.S. Border Patrol veteran Ronald Vitiello had been slated to lead Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). But “Trump had vacillated on Vitiello for several months after hearing complaints from senior adviser Stephen Miller, ICE union boss Chris Crane and others.”

Taking advantage of the nuclear option: “Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will be able to get judges and executive branch appointees confirmed much faster now,” the Washington Examiner reports. “The Kentucky Republican wasted no time in advancing his first batch. … Before adjourning the Senate on Thursday, McConnell lined up votes on four district court nominees, a sub-Cabinet pick, and the president’s designee to serve as ambassador to Saudi Arabia. And he plans to bring up more nominations Monday.”

The Examiner also reports that Rep. Devin Nunes this week will be sending the Justice Department eight criminal referrals pertaining to the Democrats’ Russian-collusion witch hunt. According to Nunes, the grounds for the referrals vary from “lying to Congress, misleading Congress, leaking classified information,” “conspiracy to lie to the FISA Court,” and “conspiracy … involving manipulation of intelligence.” He added, “There are about a dozen highly sensitive classified information leaks that were given to only a few reporters over the last two and a half-plus years, so we don’t know if there’s actually been any leak investigations that have been open, but we do believe that we’ve got pretty good information and a pretty good idea of who could be behind these leaks.” As the Examiner notes, “Nunes said … that the people ensnared in his eight-person referral ‘may not be all of them.’”

“Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney told ‘Fox News Sunday’ … that Democrats will ‘never’ see President Trump’s tax returns, days after a House Democrat committee chairman made the unprecedented demand that the IRS provide the documents,” according to Fox News. As Mulvaney put it, “That’s an issue that was already litigated during the election. Voters knew the president could have given his tax returns. They knew that he didn’t and they elected him anyway. … If [Democrats] don’t get what they want in the dirty cop-Mueller report, they’re going to ask for the taxes. If they don’t get what they want in the taxes, they’re going to ask for something else.”

According to the Des Moines Register, “Sen. commie-Bernie Sanders said people convicted of felonies should never lose access to the ballot box in the first place.” commie-Sanders opined, “You’re paying a price, you committed a crime, you’re in jail. That’s bad. But you’re still living in American society and you have a right to vote.” Remember, some prisoners are murderers who took away another person’s right to vote.

“A former House Democratic staffer pleaded guilty Friday to five federal offenses related to posting online the personal information of five Republican senators, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, during hearings for then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. … He is scheduled to be sentenced in Washington on June 13. He could face between two and five years in prison.” (Fox News)

The Daily Caller reveals that “Twitter appears to be one of the only big tech companies to back out of an alliance with the Southern Poverty Law Center after the group’s long-time president was fired for unspecified conduct reasons.” A Twitter employee explained, “The SPLC is not a member of Twitter’s Trust and Safety Council or a partner the company has worked with recently,” though the Caller says the source “did not disclose when Twitter distanced itself from the SPLC.” A conservative bloc wants other tech giants to follow suit.

“The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday handed another setback to gun rights advocates challenging President Donald Trump’s ban on ‘bump stock’ devices that enable semi-automatic weapons to fire rapidly,” Reuters reports. “With two conservative justices dissenting, the court refused to temporarily exempt from the ban a group of plaintiffs including the Firearms Policy Foundation while their legal challenge continues to be litigated in Washington.”

“President Trump said Friday he will skip this year’s White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA) dinner and hold a rally instead. ‘The dinner is boring and so negative that we’re going to hold a very positive rally,’ Trump told reporters as he left the White House for a trip to the southern border. … The commander in chief has yet to attend the annual event during his presidency, bucking tradition and instead opting to hold campaign rallies the same night as the dinner.” (The Hill)

The Origin of The Feces – President Trump Smartly Draws Attention to Beginning of Russian Conspiracy Effort

by sundance

{ } ~ In a series of tweets today President Trump smartly directs attention to the origin of the operation to create the Russian Collusion-Conspiracy narrative, calling it a “con job”,. and “made up fraud”… Calling attention to the origin of the fraud avoids the justification trap we have previously discussed. Additionally, focusing on the beginning of the corrupt operation helps contrast the pending conclusions as released by AG Bill Barr and the dirty cop-Mueller report findings. The Trump-Russia investigation was based on a fraudulent premise, purposed for use by a weaponized and politicized intelligence apparatus including the CIA, DoS, DOJ and FBI. It is also the origin of the feces that holds the greatest risk to those who constructed the surveillance operation.President Trump avoids the issues surrounding how President scumbag/liar-nObama and high-ranking intelligence officials scumbag-Comey, scumbag-Clapper, scumbag/commie-Brennan, liar-Yates, intentionally lied and misrepresented themselves to Trump and the transition team, and instead focuses directly on the origin of their fraud...

Liberal Dark Money Group to Receive Private Briefing From House Dem scumbag liar-Jerrold Nadler

by Brent Scher and Joe Schoffstall

{ } ~ The largest donors on the left will be given a private briefing on investigations into President Donald Trump by House Judiciary Committee chairman scumbag liar-Jerrold Nadler (N.Y.)… during a secretive Texas gathering this week, according to documents obtained exclusively by the Washington Free Beacon. The Democracy Alliance, a group of millionaire and billionaire funders of the liberal movement, is holding its Spring Partner Retreat and Strategy Conference at the Four Seasons hoteli n Austin, where security has been patrolling the meeting areas since Wednesday. As always at the group’s secretive meetings, all programming is off the record and closed to members of the media. scumbag liar-Nadler, who has made headlines by leading the charge to investigate Trump in the House, was a late addition to the conference program, which was obtained by the Washington Free Beacon and can be viewed in full below. scumbag liar-Nadler will join the donors via live video to lead a discussion titled, “After the dirty cop-Mueller Report: What’s Next?” “Given the events of the last few days, we added a special discussion, After the dirty cop-Mueller Report: What’s Next?” says a flyer distributed with programming updates for the donor retreat…

Feds warn: China sending ‘thousands’ of spies to US colleges

by Joel Gehrke

{ } ~ Chinese intelligence services have sent “thousands” of people to U.S. colleges under the guise of college students and professors, federal officials said… “We want to encourage people to come here and study,” Andrew Lelling, the U.S. attorney for Massachusetts, told reporters Friday. “This isn’t about targeting everyone who’s a Chinese national. But there are thousands who are directly linked to a state-sponsored effort to steal intellectual property.” That warning underscores the scope of China’s “economic espionage,” as the Justice Department terms it, as a tool for national security and economic threat. That threat is part of a broader effort by Beijing to take advantage of American colleges and universities, which provoked a backlash among U.S. officials. “The message to all the schools is: One, be aware that you are a target,” John Demers, the assistant attorney general at the Justice Department, said during the briefing. “Universities also have a lot of people coming in and out: students, visiting professors who are here for a year … You may not know the folks there as well as you do maybe in a company.” According to the most recent State Department data, more than 363,000 Chinese students studied in the U.S. in 2017-2018, nearly a third of all international students enrolled at U.S. institutions. FBI Director Christopher Wray warned last year that China was using “nontraditional” intelligence collectors to launch a “whole-of-society” threat against the U.S. Those worries found an echo among lawmakers who worry that Chinese educational programs are platforms for propaganda and influence operations, while Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has been warning European allies that Chinese tech giants such as Huawei and ZTE are also being used as spy…

Satellite Photos Show Chinese Anti-Satellite Laser Base

by Bill Gertz

{ } ~ Commercial satellite images have provided the first photographs of a secret Chinese anti-satellite laser base in western Xinjiang province, along with other high-technology weapons facilities… The laser facility is located near a lake and is about 145 miles south of the Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang. The facility was discovered by retired Indian Army Col. Vinayak Bhat, a satellite imagery analyst who specializes on China. China is using its satellite tracking stations located throughout the country as a means of identifying and targeting satellites. “Once the accurate satellite path and other data is known, directed energy weapons located at five different places can take over the task,” Bhat said. The Xinjiang base is one of those laser bases that include four main buildings with sliding roofs that Bhat assesses contain high-powered chemical lasers powered by neodymium. Bhat estimates that the smaller shed with the sliding roof is a laser tracker. Taken together, the Chinese can fire one to three of the lasers against an orbiting satellite that China is seeking to disrupt. The Defense Intelligence Agency stated in a report made public in February that China is set to deploy a ground based laser cannon next year. The report said Beijing “possibly already has a limited capability to employ laser systems against satellite sensors.”…

This Tiny Guillotine Decapitates Mosquitoes to Flight Malaria

by Matt Simon

{ } ~ The idea behind the guillotine is this: If you’re going to execute someone, you may as well do it efficiently and humanely, at least by 18th-century standards… Decapitating the condemned with an ax or sword may take a few swings—unacceptable for carrying out justice in a “civilized” society. The guillotine, on the other hand, is downright surgical, a perversely methodical way to end a life. Now mosquitoes are getting the same treatment in the pursuit of a vaccine for malaria, a disease that killed 440,000 people in 2016. To produce a vaccine for mass deployment, biotech firm Sanaria has to decapitate and dissect out the salivary glands, which hold the malaria-causing parasite, for each individual mosquito—by hand. To speed up this painstaking process, they’ve partnered with medical roboticists from Johns Hopkins University to engineer a mosquito guillotine that technicians can use to decapitate 30 insects at a time. It’s a first step toward an eventual goal of a fully automated robotic guillotine, which could help Sanaria produce that elusive mass-produced, effective malaria vaccine. Despite decades of work, a malaria vaccine is still not widely available. The first reason is the complex life cycle of the microbe that causes malaria, Plasmodium falciparum. Unlike a bacteria or virus, which tend to have relatively simple life cycles, this protozoan parasite develops both in mosquitoes and in humans. In particular, the challenge is targeting the parasite in one particular cell type before it invades another—say, from the liver to red blood cells—because each stage is brief…

Blacks Blind to Their Own Cultural Enslavement

by Erik Rush

{ } ~ Considering the media firestorm surrounding actor Jussie Smollett being charged and subsequently released for perpetrating a potentially dangerous hate crime hoax, I thought it would be appropriate to weigh in with some race-related reality to give some context.

Jussie Smollett is probably too young to understand how his actions dishonored those who sacrificed in the cause of racial equality over the course of our nation’s existence. In school, I imagine he wasn’t taught anything remotely resembling reality on the subject of history, particularly in this area. Factor in Smollett having been raised in the entertainment industry from childhood, and we can see how unlikely it is that any sense of moral obligation he might have harbored could have survived.

As distasteful as it is for me, I occasionally engage in “media slumming,” meaning that I expose myself to media that I would never watch for enjoyment in order to remain informed as to what’s going on in media venues. I don’t have broadcast television, nor do I participate in the ripoff of cable TV, but I do have streaming services through which I can glean a fairly decent representation of what’s afoot in broadcast TV.

Similar to the inescapability of superfluous homo-erotica, pro-LGBTQ messages and anti-Trump snark pervading TV and films these days, the America-as-an-institutionally-racist-nation message has also taken on new life over the last couple of years. Case in point: In just the last year, I’ve viewed more TV dramas than I can count in which characters bemoan Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and a host of other real-life black Americans being murdered by racist cops.

Such laments are abject mythology, but when one is in that passive mode of being plugged into the brain-sucker box for entertainment purposes, the ensuing effects can be quite insidious.

I was having a discussion with some people on social media the other day on the topic of how the genres of hip-hop and rap debase black people, particularly black women. I offered that while I certainly concur with this assessment, it’s only a small part of the ongoing campaign of the left – and to some extent, our government – to keep blacks culturally enslaved. This is actually a theory I began developing in my teens, when I saw the music being marketed to blacks becoming less mainstream and increasingly geared toward hedonistic and narcissistic themes. Perhaps I noticed this because I’m a lifelong musician, as opposed to being remarkably intuitive.

I paused bemusedly after having employed the phrase “cultural enslavement.” I don’t know If I coined it then and there, and I don’t need the credit, but it’s bloody brilliant regardless.

Cultural enslavement is essentially what the political left has imposed upon blacks since the Civil Rights Movement. I have written previously about some of the federal government’s efforts to keep blacks on the proverbial plantation as popular sentiment around the existing racial inequities in America began to change; these included FDR and Harry Truman conspiring with unions to use entitlement programs to keep black men from taking union jobs, and of course the deleterious effects entitlement programs have had on black families in general.

It’s been said that prior to the Civil Rights Movement, blacks were probably one of the most socially conservative groups in America. Occasionally, someone will point out how stable black communities and families were prior to this period, when wholesale government intervention into race-related issues and the explosion of entitlement programs took place. This is certainly accurate, despite leftists being quick to offer catty little mincing retorts in these cases: So, are you saying that blacks were better off under Jim Crow and segregation – hmm?

I often proffer the argument that America is not an institutionally racist nation in the sense that black activists and liberals maintain it is. America is indeed an institutionally racist nation, however, in the sense that since the Civil Rights Movement which I’m using as a temporal landmark, not a cause, blacks’ identity has been dictated by liberal whites and their black lackeys, and this has been actualized largely through the entertainment industry. I went into great detail on this topic in my book, “Negrophilia: From Slave Block to Pedestal – America’s Racial Obsession.”

In short, since the late 1960s, blacks in America have learned how to behave and who to be from TV sitcoms, films and the music industry.

Of even more significance is the fact that blacks have learned from these media sources how to relate to other racial groups and how other racial groups relate to them. The worldview they adopted as a result has been extremely disadvantageous to them and was predicated upon the desire of influential liberals to influence how blacks relate to just about everything.

More recently, young blacks have been indoctrinated en masse into the sociopathic culture of the lowest-of-the-low in the black community: criminals. In addition to the gratuitous use of profanity, more often than not the themes of rap and hip-hop purveyors are narcissistic in the extreme, antisocial, anti-authority, misogynistic and racist. The attitudes represented within these themes have been adopted by young blacks in the same manner in which young whites assume the attitudes of their music idols.

Unlike Mötley Cruë, however, which promoted the abstract if morally ambiguous “sex, drugs ‘n’ rock ‘n’ roll” lifestyle, in their lyrics, rappers routinely showcase their disdain for authority, multiple baby mamas, dealing drugs and killing people – even police.

The cure? As simplistic as it may sound, like so many of the threats we face from the hard left, it’s going to come down to people waking up to the reality of what’s going on. In the case of black Americans, with so many remaining mired in the orthodoxy of the left and the Democratic Party, I see this as being a particularly difficult if not an extremely unlikely proposition.
