President Trump Receives Briefing From California Wildfire Response Officials

by sundance

{theconservativetreehouse.com} ~ Boy, is this video ever interesting. In the first several minutes of the video briefing Governor Brown and Governor-elect Newsom are absent… Likely both are receiving massive inbound communication from their political teams and national democrats who are watching every granular moment/optic for political damage and giving advice. After Brown and Newsom finally show up, their lack of actual connection to the crisis being explained in front of them is jaw-dropping. Watch their body language, they are oblivious to the actual issues at hand and have no questions for the SME’s. Stunning. Absolutely stunning. As a comparative mental exercise in competence. Compare two states, of similar size, similar populations, amid similar crises. Contrast Governor Brown in these moments against Florida Governor Rick Scott following the hurricanes. Brown appears detached, lost, and incapable perhaps unwilling to understand the details of the challenge past and present; whereas Florida Governor Rick Scott was/is entirely engaged, entirely absorbed in the details of rescue and recovery, and entirely understanding of the challenges in each event.  https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/11/17/president-trump-receives-briefing-from-california-wildfire-response-officials/

Florida Democrats’ Alleged Election Fraud ‘Potentially Grounds for RICO’ Investigation

by John Binder

{breitbart.com} ~ An effort to allegedly add Democrat votes after Election Day in Florida is “potentially grounds for a RICO” investigation… an election fraud expert says. The Government Accountability Institute (GAI) research director Eric Eggers exclusively told SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight‘s Senior Editors-at-Large Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak that a report revealing that Florida Democrats asked voters to submit absentee ballots after Election Day is a “smoking gun” and could possibly lead to a racketeering investigation. Eggers said: I spoke with a Republican attorney today who is quite familiar with this and connected to the inter-workings and they believe that it is not only the smoking gun, but it is potentially the grounds for a RICO case … this is not over. The first step is to get this out of the way. Let’s get the election certified and let’s get people sworn into office. But I think that this is a very real problem, ultimately whether it’s complete ignorance or an organized effort on behalf of the Florida Democratic Party to manipulate and violate the law … they sent altered forms out with the hopes that they could just get away with it because they could get some sympathetic judges who say, ‘Well, this is what the forms that these people received said so I guess we’ll have to go along with it.’ [Emphasis added] At the end of the day, the basic argument in Florida right now is this: Should the laws that were in place on the day of the election be upheld. And the Republicans are saying yes and the Democrats are saying no. [Emphasis added] As Breitbart News’s Joel Pollak reported, Florida Democrats allegedly asked voters to submit absentee ballots after Election Day, using an official form that had been altered to make it look as though voters were doing so within the legal deadline with the hopes that a judge would later allow the votes in the election…  https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/11/16/exclusive-expert-florida-democrats-alleged-election-fraud-potentially-grounds-for-rico-investigation/

‘Bikers for Trump’ Leader Finds Smoking Gun at Broward Election HQ

by BENJAMIN ARIE

{westernjournal.com} ~ The hotly-contested midterm races in Florida may finally — mercifully — be coming to a conclusion… but many questions still remain. At the top of the list is something conservatives have been asking since last week: Did corrupt election officials purposely meddle with ballot results? As we previously reported, people including Broward County Election Supervisor Brenda Snipes have been credibly accused of election tampering or at least gross incompetence after ineligible, discarded ballots were mixed in with legitimate vote results. Now, a conservative behind the “Bikers for Trump” citizens group believes he’s found a smoking gun in Florida: Plastic seals that may have been wrongfully removed from sealed ballot boxes.“Bikers for Trump leader Chris Cox bustled through the throng of protesters at the Broward County elections office at the heart of the Florida recount fandango, drawing attention to colored zip-tie tags found on the ground near the building’s loading dock,” reported The Washington Times on Wednesday. “This election is a fraud,” Cox said in a recent video posted to social media. “It’s pretty disgusting here. I’m glad that you’re not here because this isn’t anything you want to see.” Although only about a dozen of the tags were allegedly found, that could potentially mean that tens of thousands of votes were tampered with. Each ballot box holds around 2,500 individual ballots. “Based on having 15 tags, that could mean that approximately 37,500 ballots could have been tampered with,” Cox’s attorney Derek A. Schwartz wrote… https://www.westernjournal.com/ct/bikers-trump-leader-finds-smoking-gun-broward-election-hq/?utm_source=Email&utm_medium=CTBreaking&utm_campaign=breaking&utm_content=conservative-tribune

Canada Now A Base For Islamic Jihadis Preparing Attacks On US

by Tim Brown

{freedomoutpost.com} ~ Stand up and take a bow, Justin! The US and Canada share the longest undefended border in the world… There hasn’t been a reason to defend it because there hasn’t been a serious threat from either country in a couple hundred years. There is now. Canada is today the happy home of thousands of radical Islamists, ex-ISIS fighters and the Muslim Brotherhood. Their numbers continue to grow, with Islamists infiltrating the Canadian government on several levels. Many Americans assume that all is peaceful and well with their northern neighbor. But security experts here warn that by welcoming radical Islamists, Canada now presents a danger to the United States. Canada as an ‘Aircraft Carrier’ for Muslim Terrorists to Attack America Terrorism expert David Harris, who worked for Canada’s spy agency, the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, told us a major attack on the United States by Muslim extremists based in Canada is “only a matter of time.” “Many years ago I suggested that many of the Islamist extremists might regard Canada as an aircraft carrier from which to maintain operations against the United States,” Harris said… You can say the same about Mexico https://freedomoutpost.com/canada-now-a-base-for-islamic-jihadis-preparing-attacks-on-us/

Arrest warrant issued for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange

by Jerry McCormick

{patriotnewsalerts.com} ~ In a filing in an unrelated case, an inadvertent slip from the Assistant U.S. Attorney revealed the existence of a sealed warrant for Assange’s arrest… Kellen S. Dwyer, the Assistant U.S. Attorney trying the case, was encouraging a judge to keep the records sealed. Dwyer wrote, “Due to the sophistication of the defendant and the publicity surrounding the case, no other procedure is likely to keep confidential the fact that Assange has been charged.” Dwyer wrote later in the filing that the charges “need to remain sealed until Assange is arrested.” Even though the information was inadvertently leaked out, the actual reason Assange’s name is on an arrest warrant was not revealed…  https://www.patriotnewsalerts.com/arrest-warrant-issued-for-assange/?utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=manual&utm_campaign=pna1&utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=manual&utm_campaign=pna1

Battling Online Smut Is Still a Conservative Priority

by Brian Mark Weber: Imagine a child at home after school while the parents are at work. Now imagine what those parents would think if someone entered their home and showed their child pictures and videos of graphic sex acts. The parents would be outraged, and they’d call the police. But this is exactly what happens to millions of American children every day who come home and view pornography on their computer screens. It’s the reality of a society in which our minds are saturated with pornographic images, even when we’re not looking for them, and a porn industry that continues to grow exponentially.

Not long ago, our nation gave serious consideration to such issues. Both Republicans and even some Democrats warned about a society in moral decay.

Politico’s Tim Alberta writes, “From the 1960s through the turn of the century, pornography played a dominant role in the American political argument — its morality and legality, its restrictions and regulations, its implications and unintended consequences.”

Yet despite these efforts, and after President Ronald Reagan assembled a Presidential Commission on Pornography in 1985 to warn that the pornography industry’s “days are numbered,” the movement seems to have lost its punch. Politicians and even religious leaders are now reluctant to open up the discussion.

Certainly, the fight isn’t completely over. In 2015, the National Center on Sexual Exploitation hosted an anti-porn summit on Capitol Hill. The following year, Utah state senator Todd Weiler introduced a resolution calling pornography a “public health crisis,” and since that time, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Arkansas, Florida, and Kansas have introduced similar measures. Moreover, the Republican Party added to its 2016 platform the statement that “pornography has become a public health crisis that is destroying the lives of millions.”

Weiler, according to Alberta, “says American culture is past the point of no return when it comes to porn, and explains that he sponsored the measure for one reason — to start a conversation about protecting minors.” Weiler himself adds, “People sell all kinds of things on the Internet, but they don’t sell them to 15-year-olds because they would get in trouble — gun manufacturers, vaping companies, alcohol distributors. That’s not the case with porn websites.”

On the other hand, pro-pornography libertarian Elizabeth Nolan Brown writes at Reason, “Plenty of porn-adjacent panics have sprung up since the 1990s as well, and plenty of political effort has gone into fighting them. So, yes, we might have fewer federal obscenity prosecutions, but we also have many more federal sex crimes on the books overall and no shortage of activity on their behalf. Since 2000, we’ve seen an ever-escalating federal war on prostitution, all sorts of panic (and prosecutions) over teen sexting, and dozens of bills introduced (in Congress and statehouses) to revenge porn and sextortion.”

But the debate should be about more than merely stopping teens from sexting one another. American minds are inundated with pornography and experts in many fields of science and psychology know the damage that exposure can cause to our families and children. This includes increased stress on married couples that can lead to separation, divorce, or infidelity; a higher likelihood that a person may become addicted to porn; the degradation of women; the belief that emotion and commitment aren’t necessary in a relationship; an assumption that pornographic scenes are commonplace and acceptable; and a higher propensity to engage in casual sex that leads to sexually transmitted diseases and unwanted pregnancies.

In 1996, Judge Robert Bork wrote a New York Times bestseller titled Slouching Toward Gomorrah in which he cautioned about the moral decline of our civilization. He was harshly criticized for suggesting that censorship of violence and graphic sex might have to be considered in the future to prevent irreversible moral decline. Today, many of his fears have come to fruition.

While censorship may not be the answer, we do need to rekindle a national discussion about morality. And we need to find ways to reverse the “anything goes” mentality and the moral relativism that has become the shameful norm in American society.
