@Subject: update on Bill Ayers

Good Afternoon:

Thank you to everyone for responding to the troubling events surrounding Bill Ayers appearance

UW has just posted a response to the many emails and phone calls on their home web page about this event. This has never been about freedom of speech, but rather the glaring omissions of Bill Ayers other non academic "endeavours" by UW and the College of Education until pressured about it.

Bill Ayers will speak and UW and Tom Buchanan are proud to let him speak, but we too can speak with our checkbooks and by letting others know how our tax dollars as well as charitable donations are being utilized.

The College of Education sponsored this event (and also an extra dialog session for Wyoming school principals) along with UW. The only time folks seem to pay attention is when it impacts their bottom line. I am including a link for UW Foundation along with UW Alumni Association. Actions have always spoken louder than words and we will be heard.

Quick note for all:
We have done a Re-Declaration of Independence that almost mirrors the original Declaration. At the end it demands nullification of Obamacare.
It will go to Gov Dave and the AG with a cc: state legislators.

House bils, 72,79,130 and resolutions 2,8,9 and 10 are steaming along and are likely to come on the floor pretty soon, Might be a good time to look them over and let your reps know where you stand on them.

Been using it for years.
But most of the time it's best just to contact them in person if you have a real problem with a bill, or if a bill is something they might be unsure about, then let them know. They are like most folks, to much pestering from a certain spot and they tend to ignore it. They are busy,especially in these short budget sessions, and don't have a "staff' so giving them alot of extra BS to have to look thru doesn't help the process.

I contact my Rep and Senator about each bill that I read and whether I like it or dislike it. I've been using this new feature from the legislature to do so: http://legisweb.state.wy.us/PostComments/HotlineDisclaimer.aspx . You should try it. It really does make it easier.

Well I would hope you contact your representative and voice you concern

Well this bill doesn't really give private property rights, it barely even says they can't take them away. And any spending from our goverment that isn't limited to specifically the powers given to them in our Constitution, Federal and State, is a misuse of public funds.

It expires in November and doesn't even begin to cover the cost of a new beuracrat to moniter the thing.
Sometime spending money in small amounts isn't a bad thing especially when it giving some oversight on something as important as private property rights.

I don't care if the cost is a drop in the bucket. They shouldn't be spending our money on it at all. The Task Force shouldn't exist and needs to be terminated.

I looked at the dollar figure for the task force, and that amount is pretty small considering the expense that will be involved. 13k is a drop in the bucket. Probably cost more than that to light the Christmas lights on the Capitol and surrounding buildings .
