Thanks for the link Paul. Had seen Tami write about this, but the audio format will help May have to onvert to mp3, but that should not be an issue
My favorite Jefferson quote in the book is, " ... we shall all consider ourselves unauthorized to saddle prosterity with our debt, and morally bound to pay them ourselves." (page 30)

If we could cause our Congress to have this paradigm shift, then our children will not be saddled with such huge debt.

The 5000 Year Leap
By W. Cleon Skousen

This book was dedicated to the founding fathers of America and rightfully so. It is permeated with quotes by them regarding the establishment of the USA. The idea of the 5000 year leap has to do with the fact that according to biblical chronology, it took about that amount of time for civilized men to come up with a form of self government that is fair and equitable to all. Contrary to the historical revisionists of modern times, the quotes from the original documents of the founders show that most of them had a heart felt conviction of Christian principles and adherence to biblical teachings. It was commonly stated among the founders that the providential hand of God was influential in the construction of the constitution and the founding of the United States and their documented accounts validate that claim. The genius of the founders can be easily demonstrated. The essence of this book is to show the absolute brilliance of the constitution by showing twenty eight great ideas found in it that have changed the world.
