Comment by James Kenneth Conerly on June 12, 2012 at 9:47am Just a brief question. Is anyone going to run against Jim Cooper that has an outside shot at getting the nomination ? Iwould support anyone that would help get rid of him. Also, for those in Lamar Alexanders district,,, you might want to see if you can find someone to take him on.
Comment by M.D. Wood on March 7, 2012 at 1:22am Tennessee 2012 Republican Presidential Primary turnout 645,933
Tennessee 2008 Republican Presidential Primary turnout 553,815
93,000 more Republicans turned out this time around than last.
Tennessee 2008 Democrap Presidential Primary turnout was 624,764.
21,000 more Republicans turned out this time than Democraps did last time, even given their enormous enthusiasm at that time.
Let's not blow it come November, whether your candidate won the Republican nomination or not, vote!
Comment by American Infidel on February 28, 2012 at 9:59am Scum Somali gang members on trial in Tennessee for kidnapping and sexual slavery of little twelve year old girls!! These people should not even be in our country to begin with!! The Obama administration is allowing and encouraging the UN to dump hundreds of thousands of Muslim "refugees" on the United States!!

Mr. Jones, let us make sure that our state officials responsible for checking eligibility, do their job honestly. I am not sure that RINO establishment in our state would.
Comment by Wordwaryor on January 23, 2012 at 5:09pm Mr. Singh ..... This IS being challenged in Georgia as we speak. In the past it has been challenged many times, but chicken hearted judges were squeezed by Obama's henchmen and they dismissed the case before it ever got to Discovery trial phase.
Now there is a judge who so far is behaving fearlessly and has rejected Obama's lawyers this time. But in TN we just need state officials responsible for checking eligibility of candidates to DO THEIR JOB ....... and ask Obama and ALL Candidates for PROOF of eligibility BEFORE Their name goes on the ballots.
I am neither a Birther nor an Obama hater but I am a Constitutionalist. Every one should have to qualify to be the president and or any office holder in our Republic.
If Ray Jones' assertion " a natural born citizen is a person born in the country to parents who are citizens of that country. Vatel's Law of Nations Book 2 Chapter 19 Article 212" . is correct, why can't we challenge his candidacy? Better yet, "why don't we"?
Comment by Wordwaryor on January 23, 2012 at 4:18pm Thanks Vern. Finally a judge with the guts to stand up for the People.
I have done tons of research on this subject. Obama is NOT Constitutionally eligible to his office. NOT because he was or was not born in Hawaii ( I am NOT a birther) ..... but simply because his father was NOT a U.S. citizen, but was a foreign national temporarily in the USA.
To our founders who wrote the eligibility clause in the Constitution, a natural born citizen would be born (in the USA) to two citizen parents. (not one). The definition they clearly understood came from Emerich Vatel's Law of Nations. which states that ..... a natural born citizen is a person born in the country to parents who are citizens of that country. Vatel's Law of Nations Book 2 Chapter 19 Article 212.
There is an Excellent article on the Georgia /Obama challenge, right here on Tea Party Nation. By Tennessee attorney Publius Huldah in her Constitution group.
It's called BREAKING NEWS! Obama may have to prove his eligibility for office i...
Have a look!
