Charles,
One more thing if you do find there are some hoops to jump through in Georgia. You might create a Disscussion title "Becoming a Georgia Precinct Chairman" so other Georgians can use what you learn??

Charles you need to pick a party. If you want to change the republican party. You contact the Republican Party for your county and just ask. I looked my up on the internet and mailed them this question.
Question or Comment:
I would like to be a precinct chairman. What do I need to do??
I got an answer that day. Inviting me to the first precinct meeting.
My tip would also be polite. Remember that the people you are meeting will probably agree with you on most issues and share your view. The whole idea of the precinct chairman is to assure that we start to pull the GOP further to the right.
I went to the county board of elections yesterday, which the office of the probate judge. They told me the judge appoints the precinct chairs and there was no election process for them. I don't think the women in the office knew what I was talking about and they said the judge would not be back in for a couple of days. It is sad if the people in charge of this office don't even know what I am talking about. I am still trying to research the law here in Georgia. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
