Voting for Lesser Evil

Started by Erwin Echavez. Last reply by J. Andrew Reid Aug 3, 2012. 5 Replies

I am not answering this poll! Why do we always have to settle for the lesser evil? As a community, can't we do something about it? Our problem is that we don't have the best candidate in the race to…Continue

Cannot win with 24% of R's staying home

No Republican is going to win if 24% of the base blanks the race, can't win if 10% blank it.  Nominate obama lite and obama stays for four more years.  So, nominate Santorum, Gingrich or Dr. Paul,…Continue

Reelecting Obama isn't even on the table

As much as it galls me to vote for Romney, I will wear a air filtration device to go ahead and vote for him. Voting for Obama is no brainer. There is nothing that could compel me to vote for Obama.Continue

I'm gonna go out on a limb with this suggestion. Why not consider a candidate that was born dirt poor. By a single mother that refuse welfare for her children. Who made sure her son study hard to be someone. And then her son became a good moral Christian man that believes in America and its Judeo Christian values..oh yes..became the world renown leading pediatric neurosurgeon..Dr. Benjamin Carson...and he's also African American!

Like most I am disgusted and disappointed. Would have liked to see what Romney could do. With all the info and effort spent in the elections it is discouraging to have to live with the results. Left with no one to vote for because the majority of the country is more fed up with those raking in the dollars than those spreading lies and deception. We still don't have a winner. It is not going to be a Republican and not a Tea Party supporter. No way is the country going to vote for any extreme other than that which is for the middle class and the poor and the elderly. It hasn't been proven to them yet and I doubt it will.

I find it interesting that conversation has all but ceased about the possible  Republican candidates for 2016.  Very disturbing.

Last week while listening to the radio a caller said, "Everybody should join The Tea Party and get involved!"

That's all well and good, but I see the last post in this group was back in September! That's hardly what I call involvement...

Many are touting Rand Paul and/or Marco Rubio as the frontrunners for 2016... If those 2 are our choices, we're doomed!  What about Rick Perry?  Why do folks hate Romney?

We surely need more discussion on this urgent matter... The caller was right, "Get Involved!"

So, yesterday I contacted my local Tea Party affiliate to see if it was still active.

(I had attended rallys in 2010, 2011, and 2012.  I worked as security and was very embarrassed to find myself watching over just a few dozen people at the rallys!)

The contacts informed me that there were 3 different 'Constitutional' groups in our area, besides the Tea Party.

My questions... Where is the unity?  Where is the significance of purpose?  Where is the plan of action?  Where is the leadership?  I'm very disappointed with what I see.

So my plan is to attend the meetings of each of the local organizations in March, and Raise Cain!  I'm going to challenge the so-called leadership and I'm going to challenge the 'membership' to DO SOMETHING!

If we continue to just sit on our behinds and wring our hands, we're in for more treasonous liberal leadership from The Democrats!

Let's get busy!

I live in California, so I know there's no chance this side of Hell that my state is going for anyone other than Obama. I'll probably vote for Virgil Goode (Constitution Party candidate).

Anyone feel that Romney is courting Paul Ryan for VP (in light of his budget passing the house/they are campaigning together)?

Comment by Jerry and Helen Zindler on March 31, 2012 at 12:51pm

Really? Romney is an Alinsky disciple like Obama. Though he is not the conservative we salivate for who’ll come in without question cape and all and save our Republic…he is no socialist. Romney has not been hugging Dr. Bell, Alinsky, or been college funded by the Ayers’. Step back and examine our last four years under Obama and honestly assert that anyone could bring this nation lower than we have sunk. Evidence Romney’s record in Ma. (other than healthcare) or his historical business acumen and draw for us Obama-like tendencies. We will not win back our country courting hysteria…nor with another four years of Obama.

The thought of Romney as president makes me sick, but another 4 years of obama is unthinkable so I also will hold my nose, carry a barf bag with me and vote for him.

Hi Everyone:

If my choice is between Barry Soetoro (from Indonesia) OR Mitt Romney, I will hold my nose and vote for Romney.  I will vote for ANY of the 4 candidates (Santorum, Gingrich, Romney, Paul) WAAAAAAAAAAY BEFORE voting for Barack Hussein Obama.

Comment by maggie b on March 29, 2012 at 9:28am

I will vote for anyone by Obama , we can't risk another 4 years of evil Obama

Comment by Andrew Asnip on March 29, 2012 at 9:06am

Is Romney REALLY any better than Obama?  With Obama, the secret (if there ever was one) is out; he's a raving Marxist.  He believes that we can spend our way to prosperity, buy votes, and that the President is perfectly within his rights to use the Public funds as largesse to his supporters, and Federal agencies as a weapon against his opponents.

With Romney, the only difference I see, is that he is a kindler, gentler form of Socialist.  He will do exactly what Obama does, but slower and more quietly.  and when he does it, Republicans will have nobody but themselves to blame.  and you BET that the Democrats will blame the Republicans!

The lesser of two evils is still evil.  I could vote for someone who is not as good as I would like.  I cannot vote for someone who is not good.  So, if Romney is the Republican choice, I will not be voting for him.
