I'm sure you've all heard about the story of Justina, the young girl who was taken from her family because the government bureaucracy decided they knew better than the parents concerning her health. This seems to be happening too often in this country. Parentalrights.org is working on having an amendment added to our Constitution stating that parental rights are a fundamental right. In the interest of time, they are asking that people approach their state legislators and ask that they initiate a bill to protect parental rights in our states. Here is the link for their website for more info on this and they even provide a sample bill that we can send to our Reps: http://www.parentalrights.org/

There is a resolution currently in the PA Legislature, HR 71, which was started by Will Tallman I believe a year ago and has not gone anywhere. However, this resolution is just to ask the US Senate to reject the United Nations Convention on the Rights of a Child (UNCRC). While this is a good thing this does not go far enough to protect parents rights.

Please contact your PA State Rep & Senator and ask them to spearhead a bill that WILL make parental rights a fundamental right. Who would have ever thought that we would have to be asking this in our great country but here we are. One would like to think that this is a bi-partisan issue since even Dems are parents.

The time to act is now!

It looks like Corbett has someone willing to challenge him in the primary. If State Committee holds true to form they will endorse Corbett thus shutting this man out. His name is Bob Guzzardi. Is anyone familiar with him? At this point, I'd vote for anyone who ran against Corbett.

What I know of Sam Rohrer is only good. He is a person that will stand up for we the people. He ran for Governor of Pa but didn't make it. I was going door to door trying to get him signatures to be on the ballot along with Russ Diamond for L-governor.
