Gene, the NumbersUSA site is great for action, along with direct calls and emails/letters to your elected officials.

Speaking of Ann Coulter, her latest column is about immigration, and I think it is the best thing she has ever written:

American Infidel or whomever: Ann Coulter is so outspoken on this issue, she says it the way she sees it, and she is usually correct. She is one political commentator that has it right on this issue, so many have no idea what they are talking about, like Hannity whom I can't stomach much anymore.

Anyway I have a question I am new to Tea Party Nation.

Is there any activist tools (I have seen the resource section) but no SPECIFIC actions that go out via the site to let members know action is needed now on specific legislation like the Amnesty bill? Because their action is needed, we need as many soldiers in this battle as we can get. Action such as what occurs on NumbersUSA site itself.

HALT Act H.R. 2497 / S. 1380  - "Hinder the Administration's Legalization Temptation Act"

Illegals don't like it--> http://www.theranger.org/halt-act-a-nightmare-for-dream-act-1.26486...

  1. Would it really counter Obama's decreed version of the DREAM Act and help deport illegals?
  2. Would it leave more JOBs open for LEGAL Americans in need of jobs?
  3. Would it leave more classes open for LEGAL Americans in need of training?
  4. It has 46 Co-Sponsors.  Are there enough votes to pass it in a bid to over-ride a Presidential Veto?
  5. Shouldn't its expiration date be extended past 21 Jan 2013?

Politicians love to talk in glowing terms about "compromise".  But for many years now, it seems just about every Bill that comes up for a vote and sounds good by its title, also contains a knife stuck in America's back. Plus, the more important the Bill is, the bigger that knife is and the deeper it gets sunk into our backs.

Ron,

Tish's letter about E-Verify (HR2164) describes exactly what I am talking about. It would be another Federal bureauctic swamp intended to suck up money, do little or nothing to help LEGAL Americans, but mostly further concentrate ALL power into the hands of the corrupt and un-touchable central Federal Gov't in Washington DC.  We need that like we need another Marxist in the White House.

Thank you.

Amnesty didn't stop the illegals from coming when Reagan did it - logic tells us it won't stop it now.

Thanks numbersusa - I've been a member for many years. You do great work!

Since when has the ACLU ever been shy about burden employers, costing the government billions of taxpayer dollars, or denying ordinary Americans their rights?

Have any of you longer-term members in this group seen NumbersUSA do much along the lines actively prompting legal actions against employers of illegal aliens?  Or is NumbersUSA just an education and/or lobbying organization?

I am looking for an effective, legally aggressive, activist organizaton.  Maybe some organization that is one of Gov. Jan Brewer's more effective supporters, but not limited to Arizona.
