Maine is full of the so-called silent majority and need to unite so you know you are not alone.
.
First things first: Join the Constitutuion Study Group at this site and get a good general knowledge of the Constitution via Publius Huldah. Then teach, teach, and teach some more.
Second: Go to www.icaucus.org , view the videos called "Articles" and if you agree with them, join your state's local group. This is a volunteer organization that vetts candidates to a standard based on the Constitution. Volunteer to take a leadership role and make things happen. It is your country too. Volunteer as a district manager and organize your district. Only then will you be able to have an impact on your representative. Numbers matter in politics.
Third: This coming Congressional spring recess will be coming around soon and so will the local town hall meetings with your representatives. Make an effort for as many tea partiers to attend as is possible. But before you go to the town hall meetings, ask your tea party group members to write down the questions they want to ask, then ask them if they would be willing to rephrase the question within the framework of the Constitution. For example, do not ask, "What are you going to do about the healthcare bill?" At that point, the rep has the floor and we know from experience you will likely not be fully happy with the answer. Instead, take the opportunity to (1) educate the audience on the Constitution, and (2) letting the rep know that you know the Constitution (rules of the game) and they don't, or ignore it. Phrase the "question" like, "Since the enumerated powers listed in Art. 1, Sec. 8 of the Constitution does not give Congress the power to pass legislation relating to "health care", I would like for you to remind your collegues that we will not be voting for any legislator that vote for a single resolution beyond their limited powers."
Fourth: Get young folks involved with the Constitution via Vacation Liberty Schools when school is out for the summer. Fun and informative. Again, get involved.
Folks, this election cycle is just the start. It may take as long as 6 years to get most representatives replaced with Constitutionalists, but many states are already doing the impossible.
