The Mission of  the Messiah

God, the Father, decreed that Jesus (Yeshua, Jesus’ Holy Name) would die for the sins of the world.  You may ask, had Jesus displeased His Father in some way?  Not at all.

In the gospel of Matthew, chapter three, God says of Jesus:  “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Throughout his earthly ministry Jesus did nothing to displease his Father.  Why then did his Father, I refer to God (YHWH, God’s Holy Name) now, why did He call for His Son to die a criminal’s death on a cross, scorned and covered with shame?  Why would a perfect Father condone the death of a perfect Son, a Son who pleased Him in every way?

The reason is found in the mission of the Messiah.  You see, Jesus did not come into this world to do his will, but the will of His Father.  And His Father’s will was that his Son die for the sins of the world.

In the gospel of John, chapter three, verse sixteen, the Word of God tells us:  “For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son so that whoever believes in Him would have eternal life.”

In the first epistle of John, chapter four, verse ten, we read, “This is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us, and gave his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.”

God has made a way for us to reach heaven, my friend.  It is not through our good deeds or an act of heroism.  It is not necessarily through a dream or vision, as we have seen.  God will use this as a way to reach us with the message of our salvation.

The one, sure way to heaven is through faith … faith in Jesus.  And he said about himself, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Do you seek to please God?  Do you wish to be assured of going to heaven? Do you seek eternal life?  If this is your desire, you need to know it is also God’s desire for you.

Pray with me now to receive forgiveness of your sins and the gift of eternal life.

“Most Holy God, I am a sinner and cannot save myself.  I am asking you, Lord Jesus Christ, to come into my heart and forgive my sins.  Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer with all your heart, God has forgiven you all your sins.  Welcome into the family of God.

The above mission statement of Jesus was transcribed from the video, “This Muslim Kept Dreaming About Jesus!”  I would urge each of you this day if you have not seen the video to take the next 45 minutes to watch this awesome and powerful testimony.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuLMVzGMpc0&feature=related

Even if you have already in the past accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I would encourage you to watch this video and you will be blessed … I promise you!

If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you may be asking:  What should I do next?  In Acts 2:38 Peter tells us to:  “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.  And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

He goes on to say in verse 39, “The promise for you and for your children and for all who are afar off, all for whom the Lord our God will call.”

Did you know that God is calling you this very day to draw close to Him and that He wants to have a relationship with you, one that no earthly words can comprehend or describe?

So far in this country we have had the freedoms like no other nation on the face of this earth since the earth was first formed.  We have the freedom to seek God, regardless of what “religion” we trust in.  But, my friends, it is not a religion that is going to save you, but putting your trust and your faith ONLY in the Lord Jesus.

We should spend as much time possible studying His Word, the Holy Bible, so that we will understand His will for our lives.  By studying and knowing His Word, the gift that we have received of the Holy Spirit will guide and teach us so we can know our true purpose, which is to live pure, holy, and sanctified lives giving honor and glory to Him.  This is our purpose, it is as simple as that … there is no great big mystery as to our purpose in life!

Next, we should share His love that Jesus has given us with others.  This is the mission that He has assigned each person who has accepting him as their Lord.

Before our Lord ascended into heaven he commanded us, “…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." — Matthew 28:19,20

We must share His love.  It is a love that only He can give us.  There is no earthly love that can compare because the Bible teaches us that “No greater love has any man, that he lays down his life for his friends.”

Jesus has done this for you!  You are forgiven of all of your sins and you only have to ask Him for forgiveness!

In Matthew 11:28 Jesus said, “Come unto me all you who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Are you tired of running around and searching for answers?  It is time for you to rest … to have perfect rest in the arms of your Savior who loves you so very much.

Choose to accept his this very day or to rededicate your lives to serving Him.

“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve …. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD." — Joshua 24:15

In Yeshua’s Holy and Precious Name,

Amen.
