For those who don't think that Melissa Bean is the best Rep for this district, and want to do something to replace her in the 2010 election.

Personally, after meeting all the candidates, I'm backing Joe Walsh.

I have also started a new Barrington Tea Party group

Saturday November 7 from 11am - 2pm at Melissa Bean's Schaumburg office at 1701 E. Woodfield Road - "One Year Notice" pink slip Tea Party rally to start the countdown to the 2010 election and her chance to join the unemployed. It's time to "Bag Bean" and unite behind a better candidate in the Feb 2 primary.

It's worth noting what Steve Greenberg said about Melissa Bean at the end of the 2008 campaign, including his criticism of her voting record and campaign funding. http://www.mchenrycountyblog.com/labels/Steve%20Greenberg.html

Note that he lost by a large margin. In the 2006 race, she won even though the Republican raised a lot more money than Greenberg did in 2008. It will not be money that defeats her. It will need to be determined, organized voters.

Candidates are emerging for the 8th district to replace Melissa Bean
- John Dawson http://www.johndawsonforcongress.com/
- Maria Rodriguez http://www.mariarodriguezforcongress.com/
- Gregory S. Jacobs http://www.facebook.com/pages/Gregory-S-Jacobs-for-Congress/110661998170

Bean raised a lot of money in recent years - including a lot outside of the district and from special interest groups to help her party in Washington, rather than to help her constituents in the district. Help the candidate of your choice to defeat Bean in 2010. Although the Republicans in Congress have targeted her position as a potentially vulnerable one to pursue in 2010, it's unclear what the state or county Republicans are planning to do to help make this happen.

I am outraged! My daughter attended the rally in Lake Zurich which was a Chamber of Commerce event. she heard that the GOP is not funding anyone against Bean because this district is considered safe for her. How can this be true?? She is now a flaming fascist leftie & this district is conservative? If this IS true, who in the GOP do we need to get to????

Bean apparently hasn't risked an open town hall yet on health care, but watch for a Sept 3 chamber event as mentioned below. She did a "telephone town hall" of some sort recently, since I know a Democratic supporter who received a robocall inviting her to participate. I don't know how many Republicans or independents were on her call list, or the outcome.

ILLINOIS RECESS RALLY

The default time and location for each of the Recess Rallies is Noon local time out in front of each of the 1000+ congressional offices. If you are unsure, you can just show up at the location. In the event there is a different location and time set for the event, that information will be listed beneath the specific district. If you are an organizer in your area and would like to be listed as a local contact, please contact us at rally@americanlibertyalliance.com.

The Nationwide Recess Rally takes place on Saturday, August 22nd, 2009. If you believe your liberty, your hard earned money and your way of life is under attack through dangerous healthcare legislation currently being proposed, get to your local Representative office on August 22nd and make sure he/she knows.
