I have been hearing from tea parties - why can't we have a democratic vote on health care, vote it down and be done with it. I think that the founders rational behind a republic needs to be a point of education along with the Constitution.

The powers in charge in Washington and their ilk call us fascist, but what they have failed to learn is that fascism is more aligned with social Democrats and Socialist then with a Capitalist republic.

That video was what I was looking for!!! It explains why a republic and not a democracy - in a nice concise manner. I will blast this out to our group. The video reminded me of the book - 5000 Year Leap. If you have not read it - do read it, I know you will love it!
