Thank you, Cristi! It is an excellent lesson on "enumerated powers". I noted how generous the legislators who supported the bill were with OTHER PEOPLES' MONEY, and how stingey they were with their own. "Charity" is no business of the federal government. Davey Crockett is my hero.

Wonderful read, Cristi -- thank you for sharing. To all Congressmen: The public money is 'not yours to give' for charity, or any cause not enumerated by the Constitution. Pure & simple.
