Posted this on my site, An Ol' Broad's Ramblings, a few days ago, and didn't get one single comment. We are in a battle for our very survival, yet no one seems to see it. I'm very baffled. Is arguing about the merits, or lack of, unions more important than our very souls?

1 Samuel 7:3 ~ And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

You might be asking why I'm posting that verse from I Samuel. Well, I'll tell ya! First, read the passage again. If you are Christian, or Jewish, you will see a few things that are quite familiar in the US of today.

1- "return to the Lord" - As a nation, we have moved so far from our founding roots, those who fought and died for this nation to even exist, would not recognize it. Contrary to what so many would like to believe, and do their utmost to convince others, we ARE a nation founded on the principles of God Almighty!

2- "put away the strange gods" - This phrase covers a LOT. What are the 'strange gods' in today's world? Money, power, Ipods, alcohol, smokes, drugs, the idjit box that brings in commercials about feminine hygiene, ED, etc., and American Idol. Obviously, the list is long. We don't think of these types of things as 'gods', but when they control your life, they become as such. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. He wasn't kidding!

3- 'serve him only' - You can't serve two masters. It just doesn't work! If you follow the teachings, then you can't say well, but this is good too. No, if it's not from God, it's not good. You can dispute that all you want, but you won't be able to convince me otherwise.

Now, as to the reason for all this. If we do not return to our founding of Natural Law, we will fall, as many other great nations have fallen.

I know there are a lot of people who say churches are hypocritical, and filled with hypocrites. Guess what! Very many are! Yup. I said it. A whole lot of churches have totally forgotten the reason for THEIR foundations. A church isn't about the rituals, who is wearing what, who gives the most money. It's about GOD! The sooner a whole slew of churches remember this, the better this country will be. If God doesn't accept something, neither should churches! It's that simple.

I will repeat what I've said many, many times: This isn't about right and left. It's about right and wrong, good and evil. Why are we allowing evil to get the upper hand? It' is way past time for us all to hit our knees, and pray that God will forgive us for being such arrogant jackasses!

Here is something we are going to have to look forward too. It is from Book of Wisdom.

12 Let us beset the just one, because he is obnoxious to us; he sets himself against our doings, Reproaches us for transgressions of the law and charges us with violations of our training.
13 He professes to have knowledge of God and styles himself a child of the LORD.
14 To us he is the censure of our thoughts; merely to see him is a hardship for us,
15 Because his life is not like other men's, and different are his ways.
16 He judges us debased; he holds aloof from our paths as from things impure. He calls blest the destiny of the just and boasts that God is his Father.
17 Let us see whether his words be true; let us find out what will happen to him.
18 For if the just one be the son of God, he will defend him and deliver him from the hand of his foes.
19 With revilement and torture let us put him to the test that we may have proof of his gentleness and try his patience.
20 Let us condemn him to a shameful death; for according to his own words, God will take care of him."

With the pre-emptive attacks on us as Tea Party supporters by Pelosi, Reid and the rest on the progressive left, the on attacks on FOX News, the US Chamber of Commerce by the White House. All in an effort to silence desent.

The fact of the matter they can't silence us, they hear us. But, they are going to do it their way, they still have one year to exercise their power, and they are going to do it over our objections, because they can change the rules any time they want.

Keep in mind that many of the people surrounding the President are avowed Marxists, and they venerate mass murders like Chairman Mao.
I am sorry to say that the Church at large has done a bad job in conveying the true Gospel, and made it more of a Us Vs Them kind of thing and it is sad. When the Apostle Paul talks about renewing our mind in the Greek it actually really means to restore to the original idea. So what is the original idea it is found in Genesis 1:26 It says let us make them in our image and give them Dominion or more aptly Kingdom Power. So that is what we should be looking for because in that we will have the power we all want, and that is the power to change circumstances. We are looking for things as though they are things we lost such as Heaven and Religion, we were never given these thing so we didn't lose them so why do we keep pursuing them. Jesus said Seek ye First the Kingdom. Jesus also said he would give us what we need not what we want, we may want Religion but what we need is the Kingdom of God.

Some of the concepts we have been taught run opposite of Kingdom thinking we think God is democratic but he is not he is King he said King of the Universe he holds it all together by the word of his power. The decrees of a King are law in the Kingdom we can't vote on them or change them.

The Kingdom is a stretch for some people but once you understand it you will be free from the bondage of Religion and you will be able to walk in God's purpose for your life. This was long but I pray that you understand this and can accept it.
Perhpas you don't realize it Kate but you essentially suggesting that we Christians and our Jewish allies remove our socialist / atheistic Government and replace it with a theocracy.

Look up the term Theonomy... and take note...
In replacing our current system with a Theocracy we are in reality recreating a system similar to the Roman Catholics, Muslims and many others who take thier religious beleifs and misuse them against those peoples who donot share thier beliefs.

Also take note:

In claiming we should follow the Ten Commandments you are in reality not following the FULL LAW of Moses but are in reality breaking the very Commands God gave Moses and the ancient Israelis.

Something to think on...
Uh...no, actually, I'm not suggesting any such thing.

I'd really like to know how my suggestion that we, as a society, follow the 10 Commandments, is wrong? Putting God first is a bad thing? Not worshiping idols is a bad thing? Not stealing, committing adultery, etc? To me, these are common sense rules that SHOULD be followed. As a Christian, I believe the New Testament is the New Covenant with God. I don't see how that is asking for a theocracy, which I repeat, I am not.
