A group of people devoted to a strong US military that will be second to none and able to deal with all kinds of threats, whether terrorists or hostile countries, equipped with modern weapons manned by well-trained soldiers.

Statement of beliefs
We, the members of the Strong Defense group, believe:
1) That defense is the most important issue of all, and a constitutional duty of the Federal Government (Article IV of the Constitution);
2) That without a strong US military (i.e. one that is adequately trained, sized, equipped, supplied and financed), America cannot be safe;
3) That a strong defense and a balanced budget are not mutually exclusive, as the current budget deficits of the federal government are exclusively due to the rapid growth of civilian spending;
4) That a strong defense prevents war rather than cause it;
5) That the US government should use the US military abroad only if necessary, because the US military will be the first institution to bear a war's burden;
6) That weak countries, weak militaries and disarmament policies only cause wars and invite aggressors, while strong militaries deter them;
7) That it is ridiculous to claim that there are no credible conventional or nuclear threats to the US today, and that the US military must be prepared to face the full spectrum of enemies, ranging from Al-Qaeda and FARC to Iran, North Korea and China.

Does anybody care?
Our defense starts at home... as stated with our Constitutional Duty!
We need to rid ourselves of this traitor Obama!
Whether it's a populus up-rising like a march on Washington, or marches in the street, or a military coup... IT HAS TO BE DONE!
Strong Defense? Hell, our government wants our guns!
We need to come together and defend our rights and defend our Constitution!

When America cuts defense spending, it is a historical fact that our enemies increase their spending for defense. This has always put this nation in a position of playing catch-up in dangerous times. George Washington said: "There is nothing which will soon produce a speedy and honorable peace as a state of preparation for war, and we must either do this or lay our account for a patched-up, inglorious peace, after all the toil, blood and treasure we have spent."
On the contrary, Albert Einstein said: "You cannot simultaneously prepare for war and peace." History has proven Mr. Einstein wrong on this point many times. The bully does not come after the strong, nor the prepared, but the weak and unexpecting. I am in agreement with our first president.

reagan increased military spending and showed it helped the economy.it creates a lot of jobs as well as spin off technology we are still enjoying today. they know this but it doesn't suit their agenda. if people can't see the danger we face today and still want to cut defense spending then they deserve what they get. i hope that does not happen.

thats amazing. only 4.5% of gdp but if you listen to the left you would think it's more like 25%.the left is always flip floping on issues. it depends who their audience is at the time. the same people who want to cut the defense budget would be the same people crying out why did we not do something when an enemy attacks an ally of ours or us. most of the countries who have taken over rather easily are ones with a weak defense.

i dont trust turkey and egypt of which obama is ready to forgive a billion in debt depite the fact they are going to be run by the muslim brotherhood,lebanon,syria,yemen,pakistan, and this is not considering n.korea,china,and our great friend russia who has built up irans military and nuke program. i know we can defeat any one of those but we are spread thin right now thanks to obama and its the sum of those countries that i am leary of not any one or two. yes we support a lot of israels technology but we benefit from it as well. i thinks its a moral issue as well. they are the best democracy out there and i would rather help them than almost anyone else. i was angry when obama became president and one of the first things he did was stop the patriot missle defense to georgia. what a great message to send to a young democracy. we told them we would stand by them but obama prefers the former soviet union. ive seen him damn near fall over bending to greet putin in russia. he did not know he was being photograhed. it was like a subject greeting his king. i agree with most everything you write but without our help israel would not exist and that would be a tradgety.

to add to this turkey has been going towards irans side in recent years and they are sending another flotilla to israel. who would you rather have in nato israel or turkey? i want israel. turkey is becoming another radical muslim country.

thats iran. but if a bunch of other countries join in you will be glad israel has our backs. they have fantasic military technology that they share with us as we share with them. they have made huge strides in missle defense amongst other things and i think money spent to help their defense is money spent on our defense. thats just my opinion.
