Senate confirms Mike Pompeo as Trump’s secretary of state

by Susan Ferrechio

{ } ~ The Senate on Thursday confirmed Mike Pompeo to serve as secretary of state with the help of a few red-state Democrats… facing tough re-election bids. Pompeo was approved in a 57-42 vote that cleared him to start work a day ahead of a critical NATO summit scheduled for Friday. Six Democrats ended up voting for Pompeo: Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota, Doug Jones of Alabama, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Bill Nelson of Florida. Sen. Angus King, I-Maine, also voted for him…

Comey Tries Using liar-Clinton Just Lie Defense – Leaks Weren’t Classified, Only Did it Once

{ } ~ Former FBI Director James Comey continued his suicidal efforts to provide his enemies with more ammunition on a daily basis… his latest donation coming in a town hall with Anderson Cooper. It’s probably great for book sales and he’s going to have plenty of time for writing a sequel, “How I Guaranteed I’d Get Locked Up” while behind bars in a federal prison. Skyping interviews might be tougher to work out, though. The fact that Cooper asked him some difficult questions, much tougher than what the FBI likely asked criminal target liar-Hillary Clinton in July of 2016, is an indication that the shiny luster might be fading from Mr. Comey’s protective leftist veneer. Comey was dutifully shoveling out the manure, creating the familiar double standard for deep state criminals versus the rest of Americans, when Cooper surprisingly pushed back on the ridiculous assertions. He said, “But you did leak memos. I mean is it okay for somebody at the FBI to leak something, an internal document, even if it’s not classified? Isn’t that leaking?”...

The Special Election Statistics Scam

by Daniel Greenfield

{ } ~ A Democrat lost Tuesday night, but House Democratic Leader Nancy Pulosi still said Wednesday that she’s “thrilled”… with the results in Arizona’s special House election. And there are a host of reasons for her to feel that way. Democrat Hiral Tipirneni lost to Republican Debbie Lesko by just 6 percentage points and forced Republican outside groups to spend more than $1 million in a district carried by President Trump by 21 percentage points. In 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney won the district by 25 percentage points. House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland called the loss “a victory.” “We didn’t get the golden ring, but we pushed them in a district where they should have won by 20 points to winning by 75 percent less and they spent a lot of resources,” Hoyer told USA TODAY…

U.S. Citizens Fund UN Arms Trade Treaty Which Impacts U.S. Gun Ownership

by Catherine Frompovich

{ } ~ Recently, I received an email from U.S. Senator Rand Paul regarding an issue which may upset, or be near and dear to… the hearts of many Americans; it stated the USA taxpayer is the second largest DIRECT financial funder of the U.N.’s global gun ban! Did you know that? Of course, most people probably don’t, and such information is one of the reasons I’ve been saying for umpteen years, “Get the USA out of the UN; get the UN out of the USA.” Ever since I can remember having gained some “political senses or savvy many years ago,” I truly feel the UN is a one world government oligarchy noun: oligarchy; a small group of people having control of a country, organization, or institution. Ref: Online Dictionary – in this case, the entire world population – whose agenda is total global control over every aspect of every person’s and humankind’s overall life, living, sovereignty, freedoms and technology advances to promote what has been revealed as the UN’s overarching agenda, i.e., Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030 with total subservience from every nation state and its population!…

liar-Hillary’s Money Laundering Scheme

by Matthew Vadum

{ } ~ While it obsesses over an aging porn star, Russians, discredited ex-FBI officials, and pimple-faced gun-grabbers… the mainstream media has been ignoring an explosive federal lawsuit unearthing a huge illegal money-laundering conspiracy said to have been masterminded last election cycle by the Democratic National Committee and the liar-Hillary Clinton campaign. It is yet another facet of the plot by which liar-Clinton, possibly in league with then-President liar-nObama, broke the law in an attempt to rig the election. Throughout his agonizingly long presidency, liar-nObama serially abused his powers as the nation’s Chief Executive to undermine his political opponents. Against this backdrop, the DNC and liar-Hillary’s campaign “allegedly used state chapters as strawmen to launder as much as $84 million in an effort to circumvent campaign donation limits, and the Federal Election Commission ignored complaints exposing the practice,” according to a Fox News report that has been gathering dust since April 16. The civil proceeding, filed against the FEC earlier this month in the nation’s capital, spells out a vast left-wing criminal conspiracy while providing detailed evidence from FEC filings to support the claim that Democrats orchestrated the scheme to do an end-run around federal campaign limits…

Senate panel approves bill to protect special counsel

{ } ~ The Senate Judiciary Committee approved legislation on Thursday to protect special counsel Robert Mueller… In a 14-7 vote, the panel approved the bipartisan proposal that deeply divided Republicans on the committee. With every committee Democrat backing the legislation, only one Republican was needed to secure passage. In the end, four Republicans voted for the bill: Sens. Thom Tillis (N.C.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Chuck Grassley (Iowa) and Jeff Flake (Ariz.)… Voters need to vote these rinos out.

CA Wants to Ban Christian Guidance. No, Seriously

by Jordan Candler: California Assembly Bill 2943, which was introduced in February and is the subject of a critical forthcoming vote, is chock-full of feckless scientific assertions on human sexuality. More importantly, it takes animosity toward Christianity to a whole new and worrying extreme and even evokes fears of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, in which the government enacts a proscription against books.

According to the bill, “Contemporary science recognizes that being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender is part of the natural spectrum of human identity and is not a disease, disorder, or illness.” Many scientists would disagree with that — and nature certainly does — but, alas, the text cites the state’s “compelling interest in protecting the physical and psychological well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals” as justification for AB 2493, which “would include, as an unlawful practice prohibited under the Consumer Legal Remedies Act, advertising, offering to engage in, or engaging in sexual orientation change efforts with an individual.”

AB 2493 elucidates, “‘Sexual orientation change efforts’ means any practices that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation. This includes efforts to change behaviors or gender expressions, or to eliminate or reduce sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward individuals of the same sex.” David French alarmingly observes that this “would actually — among other things — ban the sale of books expressing orthodox Christian beliefs about sexual morality.” French elaborates on the scheme here, but here’s the bottom line: Biblical spiritual guidance, no matter in what form, will no longer be tolerated if this bill becomes law.

Making matters even worse, “fact-checkers” are flat-out lying about the implications of the legislation., addressing conservative fears that AB 2492 ensnares even the Bible, definitively asserts that the “bill does not seek to outlaw all religious or moral instruction regarding sexuality and sexual orientation, nor would it ban the sale or possession of generic religious texts such as the Bible. Christian dogma might form the basis of efforts to change a person’s sexual orientation, but the Bible itself is not a ‘gay conversion therapy’ manual.”

Writing in The Federalist, Robert Gagnon offers some perspective on this tripe: “Snopes’ insistence that California Assembly Bill 2943 would not result in the Bible being banned in California is akin to Snopes calling ‘demonstrably and clearly false’ the claim that Joseph Stalin killed everyone around him.” He continues, “Sure, it is virtually impossible that California will immediately attempt to ban the sale of the Bible itself. Not even the hard Left in California has that kind of chutzpah. But citations of Bible verses in the context of declaring homosexual practice and transgenderism to be morally debased could indeed get one into serious trouble with the law if it comes in the context of selling or advertising a product or service.”

More to the point, leftists are never content. Just because Snopes can’t or won’t read between the lines doesn’t mean conscientious Americans can’t. The Left prefers incremental approaches to large policy changes, which explains its “progressive” moniker — only progress in this form means a step-by-step nullification of rights. And while the plan would ultimately be an unwise one, this AB 2493 garbage helps us to understand the real and energetic effort to split California into three.
