Sources Say Inspector General’s FISA Investigation Complete, “It’s Devastating”

by Daniel Chaitin

{ } ~ Fox News host Sean Hannity said his sources tell him that Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz has completed his investigation into alleged FISA abuse and “it’s devastating.”… Speaking last night with his guests, former Republican Congressman Jason Chaffetz and Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett, Hannity said, “I have sources telling me that Horowitz perhaps is even finished with his report and certainly the attorney general has been briefed on what is coming.” Later in the show, the Fox News host spoke with Sen. Lindsey Graham, where he reiterated his claims about Horowitz. “I’m also hearing Horowitz is done and it’s devastating,” Hannity said. Graham replied, “I can’t verify if Horowitz is done. I can’t tell you what he found. But I can tell you that if you care about the rule of law you’re going to be very upset about how the DOJ and FBI behaved themselves during the 2016 election. He continued, “If you hate Trump, you won’t care. If you love the rule of law, you’ll be very upset.” The Washington Examiner writes, “The completion of Horowitz’s investigation would be news. Attorney General William Barr recently predicted that it would be complete in either late May or June, but there has been no official word of its progress since. A Justice Department spokesperson declined to comment”…

Here’s how you’ll know we’re about to go to war with Iran — right now, we’re not

by Tom Rogan

{ } ~ National security adviser John Bolton might be open to war with Iran. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo might also. But not so much President Trump… who has distanced himself from these top two advisers. There is no good evidence that the Trump administration is preparing for war with Iran. Recent actions over the past two weeks to reduce the U.S. vulnerability to Iranian attacks are justified by intelligence reporting, Iran’s ideology and track record, and the standing threat. But were the United States about to go to war with Iran we would see the following: First, we would have to stage an extremely large air and naval force buildup in the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf, for strike operations inside Iran and defeat of Iran’s naval forces. We’d also have to do it in the Mediterranean Sea, to help defend Israel against Iranian ballistic missile attacks and to complicate Russian action via its Black Sea fleet. At present, the U.S. has only one carrier strike group near Iran. The Trump administration has not altered the course of another strike group that could have been sent back toward the Persian Gulf. And the only other deployed U.S. carrier group is conducting Russia-minded naval exercises in the Arctic. The Iranian navy and air force are far bigger than the Iraqi forces were in March 2003, and so war against Iran would almost certainly entail at least five concurrently deployed carrier strike groups. On the Air Force side of things we would also see multiple fighter and bomber squadrons deployed to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom. We are seeing instead a limited B-52 deployment, which would be largely useless in the opening stages of any campaign first stage strike operations would focus on achieving air superiority, and involve B-2 bombers and electronic warfare aircraft. Second, we would see a massive ground force deployment in Saudi Arabia none of Iran’s neighbors would likely allow U.S. invasion forces access. Iran is three times the size of Iraq, with a far more powerful regular and irregular military. Those factors alone would require U.S. ground deployment in the region of at least 500,000 ground assault forces. Note, here, that the 120,000 forces mentioned in reporting this week are very likely related to contingency planning. And they aren’t even deployed!…

Lying about the crisis at the border to Americans is “borderline TREASON”

by S.Noble

{ } ~ Former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, who served under President scumbag/liar-nObama, said Wednesday the U.S.-Mexico border is “very definitely a crisis.”… He says everyone should be focusing on a solution to address the issue. This issue has become political and it should be non-partisan. Everyone should want to protect our borders and our sovereignty. “There are answers. In this environment, I worry they’re politically unattainable but there are answers to dealing with border security, with dealing with holding those that are here in this country accountable,” Johnson said on “Your World with Neil Cavuto.” Johnson and Cavuto were reacting to an interview “Fox & Friends” host Brian Kilmeade conducted with acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan. Johnson worked with McAleenan during their time under scumbag/liar-nObama. Lou Dobbs spoke with the Lt. Governor of Texas, Dan Patrick. Some Democrats go down to the border, see it’s a crisis, and then say there’s no crisis. They are knowingly lying to the American people. It’s treason…

Sebastian Gorka on How We Should Fight Socialism

by Rob Bluey

{ } ~ “The most powerful thing is … people who have actually lived under these systems and escaped,” Sebastian Gorka, a former White House aide turned radio host tells The Daily Signal… saying we need to share these stories. “People who’ve swam across shark-invested waters from Cuba, people who’ve, like the blind pro-life lawyer from China, escaped house arrest,” he adds. Read the full interview, which also includes his thoughts on the media’s handling of the dirty cop-Mueller report and immigration. Sebastian Gorka: Yeah, it’s funny, I went back to the White House this week to meet the president and I had to use the media entrance. I used to work for the president, it’s so weird. People don’t realize there’s a whole separate entrance to the White House for journalists. I guess I’m not a journalist but I’m in the media world. But I’ve always loved talk radio. From a child growing up in the U.K., I used to listen until the wee hours of the night to talk radio. I think talk radio belongs to conservatives now after the last 20, 30 years of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, my colleagues at Salem, Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, Larry Elder. It’s an incredible place to be at right now and to be given three hours a day on the Salem channels, it’s called “America First,” 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the East Coast. You can listen to it at It’s on iTunes, look for “America First.” But look, I had cigars with Dennis Prager a week ago, he said, “You know what our job is, Seb, our job, we get paid to tell people what we think three hours a day.” And it’s fun, a lot of fun. Bluey: It is great. Thank you for doing it. Because as you noted, talk radio is really so important in terms of getting the message out there. I know you have been focused on that, it’s obviously something that we do at The Daily Signal. What would say in terms of where we are in today’s world with the media? Post-dirty cop-Mueller report, kind of in this period where Democrats seem to be talking about impeachment, you have a whole host of ideas coming out from the 20 candidates who are running for president…

Why Iran Objects to a Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation

by Hany Ghoraba

{ } ~ News that the Trump administration is considering designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization drew objections from Iran despite the religious differences between the Sunni and Shia strongholds… Nevertheless, they both share financial alliances, radical ideologies, global domination dreams and a common enemy in the form of the West and Israel. “The U.S. is not in position to (..) start naming others as terror organizations and we reject by any attempt by the U.S. in this regard,” Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif told reporters earlier this month. “The U.S. is supporting the biggest terrorist in the region, that is Israel.” For four decades, Iran’s main strength was not a strong army or a robust economy, but its militant proxies around the Middle East. Close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood extended Iran’s reach and provided the Islamic Republic with a softer political power within nearly 80 countries where the group operates, especially in regions inaccessible to Iran such as Europe and the United States. The potential designation of Muslim Brotherhood will cut such an access to Iran. A stronger Muslim Brotherhood is beneficial for the Iranian regime and the Islamist axis, which now includes Iran, Turkey, and Qatar, said Egyptian-based Iranian affairs expert Mohamed Banaya. “Iran’s rejection … comes within the framework of the axis of political Islamism, which brings together Qatar, Iran and Turkey on the one hand and Islamist political groups, foremost among them the Muslim Brotherhood,” he said. Iran’s ties with the Muslim Brotherhood extend also to its offshoots such as Hamas. Relations with Hamas date back at least to a 1990 conference held in Tehran to support the Palestinian Intifada. At that time, Hamas declared Iran a strategic ally. More recently, Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh sent a letter to Iran’s Khamenei saying, “With God’s permission and the launch of a vigorous popular Intifada in the West Bank and al-Quds Jerusalem, we will thwart the plot of the tyrant of the current era U.S. President Donald Trump and rulers of hypocrisy in capitals near and far to eliminate the issue of Palestine.” Warm relations between the Brotherhood and radical Shiite clerics date back to a 1954 meeting between Navaab Safavi and Brotherhood ideologue Sayyid Qutb. Safavi founded the Fedayeen of Islam, an Iranian terrorist group that has inspired both ayatollahs Ruhollah Khomeini and Ali Khamenei. Qutb invited Safavi to visit Egypt in 1953, where Safavi delivered a speech to Muslim Brotherhood members at Cairo University. Safavi was sentenced to death in Iran in 1956 after being convicted of planning an unsuccessful assassination attempt on Iranian Prime Minister Hossein Ala’…

Pulosi Circles Wagons for Anti-Semitic Caucus

Nate Jackson: worthless-Rashida Tlaib and worthless-Ilhan Omar have already in their short congressional careers made it clear that they are deeply anti-Semitic. Both women are Muslim, which surely plays a key role in this hatred of Jews. Neither woman is committing “gaffes” or simply “misspeaking.” Their bile represents their true position.

The latest controversy surrounding worhtless-Tlaib began with the following comment: “There’s always kind of a calming feeling, I tell folks, when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out… And just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away, and it was forced on them.”

Got that? The Holocaust was a tragedy, but mainly for the Palestinians.

The Washington Examiner’s Philip Klein has a point-by-point rebuttal in which he sums up all the factual errors in Tlaib’s assertion. He concludes, “worthless-Tlaib’s claims that her Arab ancestors provided a ‘safe haven’ to Jews after the Holocaust ignores the Jewish presence in the region and efforts to establish a Jewish state that predated the Holocaust, ignores that her ancestors allied with Hitler at the time of the Holocaust, and ignores decades of violence and terrorism directed at Israel both before, during, and after the Holocaust.” Moreover, her comments are meant solely to delegitimize Israel.

Naturally, worthless-Tlaib didn’t back down. In fact, she claimed to be the victim of racists who objected to her statement: “You know, I got a text from a friend who’s like, ‘Hey, next time, you know, really clarify. Maybe talk like a fourth grader because maybe the racist idiots would understand you better.’”

It’s no surprise to see worthless-Tlaib’s anti-Semitism wrapped in gross revisionist history, or to see her double down and call her critics racists. worthless-Omar likewise charged critics with “Islamophobia.” What makes this episode stand out is that House Speaker Nancy Pulosi also backed up worthless-Tlaib. She accused Republicans of “desperate attempts to smear [worthless-Tlaib and] misrepresent her comments.” In fact, she demanded, they “should apologize to Rep. worthless-Tlaib & the American people for their gross misrepresentations.” House Minority Leader scumbag-Steny Hoyer joined her, insisting that Trump and congressional Republicans “owe [worthless-Tlaib] an apology.”

In short, this is the effluent of a party that thrives on identity politics. Earlier this year, Pulosi had to deal with how to respond to worthless-Omar’s anti-Semitism. The House ended up passing a vacuous resolution — with the votes of worthless-Tlaib and worthless-Omar! — generically condemning hatred and bigotry. Now, in a calculated political move, both Pulosi and scumbag-Hoyer have circled the wagons, defending the Democrats’ increasingly favored brand of hate and accusing others of the true sin. Who runs the party again? ~The Patriot Post
