The Afghan situation is spiraling out of control, thanks to the failure of leadership from Barack Obama. As of this morning, four American soldiers are dead and now the Afghan leadership is making outrageous demands.
What are those demands and why are we afraid?
The demand is that we turn over those responsible for the burning of the Koran for trial in Afghanistan. We are afraid because we are worried that Barack Obama might actually do something that stupid.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Hamid Karzai had made such a demand of Ronald Reagan? Reagan would have told him to stay put while he sent the B-52’s to solve the issue. George W. Bush would have told Karzai to pound sand. So would his father. Even Bill Clinton would not have agreed to anything like that.
The Afghans claim that NATO has agreed to a trial of the soldiers responsible.
While this is probably untrue, does anyone have any real confidence that Barack Obama wouldn’t do something like this?
The only saving grace for those soldiers is that this is an election year. Even Obama should realize that if he turned those soldiers over for trial, he would not even carry the Peoples’ Republic of DC.
But how many of us really trust that Obama would not turn over those soldiers for trial in Afghanistan?
Most of us don’t and it is not just a partisan issue.
The real issue is, Obama is not an American.
The liberals who read this blog will immediately start hyperventilating over that statement. “Birther!” they will scream.
Where Obama was born has nothing to do with it. Obama is no more an American than someone who just happened to be washed up on the shore to be born.
Obama spent a significant part of his youth raised in another country by people who did not like America. When he came back, his parents, closest family friends and everyone else he associated with hated America. Since college, Obama has floated through the liberal elite society.
He has no clue what it is like to be a middle class American.
For Obama, love of country means nothing. For Obama and his radical friends, freedom is something to be crushed. Liberty is anathema. Prosperity is only for the ruling class and is only to be obtained through the political process.
For Obama and his cronies, the state is the ultimate god. The people are simply commodities owned by the state and to be disposed of if it advances the cause of the state and the leftist party.
Obama embodies this philosophical sea change in Obamacare. Under Obamacare, no longer are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness paramount virtues. Only what you can do for the state and your worth is measured on that basis. If you are old, then you are a commodity to be disposed of, like an old car that has outlived its useful life.
Obama views Americans not as masters of the government but as chattel of the state.
That is why we fear Obama. He views those soldiers as disposable, if he needs them to be. Duty, honor and courage are just words in a dictionary to Obama.
That is why those soldiers should be afraid.
That is why we should all be afraid.

Permalink Reply by Gail Cohen on Heartland my sentiments exactly - we either fight to win or get out and get our missle defenses in order and build up our armed forces and equipment and get ready to evaporate anyone who attacks us here or abroad - our national best interest is at stake - the possible senario of our soldiers being turned in to the Afghanis should be brought up by the candidates to remind the American people that Obama is not acting in our best interests - national security has always been conservatives' best weapon against the progressives with all true American people, conservative or liberal.

Launch the 2ND MARINE DIVISION TO GET THEM BACK (ALL 4 OF THEM) !

Permalink Reply by Joel Garcia on One good way to wind down the war in Afghanistan and other places where we are involved against Muslims is the following: every time our troops kill a Muslim, dig a hole, throw the Muslim in the hole, and kill a pig and throw it in with the Muslim. Bet ya that they will think twice, or three times, before engaging American Forces. This will erase any thoughts of becoming martyrs and going to their heaven where their 72 virgings are waiting for them. They should have done this with Bin Laden and published the "ceremony" on YouTube for all to see. This should also be done here in America, especially with that murderer at Ft. Hood.

Why we would ever send any soldier, especially me, out with a .22 caliber squirrel rifle is idocy beyond belief.
What is the difference between .220 and .223. Three thousandth of an inch. Idocy. Back when I first started we had M1 Garands. Mine is in my closet--Civilian Marksmanship something or other, been a long time.
Grace Kirby--the reason we don't now finalize rules of engagement is because we don't want to go to jail for conspiracy. But you raise a very important shortcoming in all our efforts.
If this site goes down, we become disconnected chips of wood floating downstream. I hope some responsible IT person reads this and does a back-up plan for us to remain in comm.

We already have 50% of the people in American depending on the government for freebies. Has he done anything he can be impeached over? His last blunder in Afghanistan could sink us?
How many signatures does it take to start the impeachment process or can it be done?
I read a lot of gas on here but no solution to the problem.
Does anyone have an opinion, or do we keep our fingers crossed till the election?
He needs four more years to finish his changing of America, do we just sit by and let it happen.

Unless Our 50 State Governors light a fire under their "Reps" in the U.S. Senate & House to prepare "Letters of Impeachment Against Obama" we do not have a Constitutional avenue to deal with him between no and November.
