The Afghan situation is spiraling out of control, thanks to the failure of leadership from Barack Obama. As of this morning, four American soldiers are dead and now the Afghan leadership is making outrageous demands.
What are those demands and why are we afraid?
The demand is that we turn over those responsible for the burning of the Koran for trial in Afghanistan. We are afraid because we are worried that Barack Obama might actually do something that stupid.
Can you imagine what would have happened if Hamid Karzai had made such a demand of Ronald Reagan? Reagan would have told him to stay put while he sent the B-52’s to solve the issue. George W. Bush would have told Karzai to pound sand. So would his father. Even Bill Clinton would not have agreed to anything like that.
The Afghans claim that NATO has agreed to a trial of the soldiers responsible.
While this is probably untrue, does anyone have any real confidence that Barack Obama wouldn’t do something like this?
The only saving grace for those soldiers is that this is an election year. Even Obama should realize that if he turned those soldiers over for trial, he would not even carry the Peoples’ Republic of DC.
But how many of us really trust that Obama would not turn over those soldiers for trial in Afghanistan?
Most of us don’t and it is not just a partisan issue.
The real issue is, Obama is not an American.
The liberals who read this blog will immediately start hyperventilating over that statement. “Birther!” they will scream.
Where Obama was born has nothing to do with it. Obama is no more an American than someone who just happened to be washed up on the shore to be born.
Obama spent a significant part of his youth raised in another country by people who did not like America. When he came back, his parents, closest family friends and everyone else he associated with hated America. Since college, Obama has floated through the liberal elite society.
He has no clue what it is like to be a middle class American.
For Obama, love of country means nothing. For Obama and his radical friends, freedom is something to be crushed. Liberty is anathema. Prosperity is only for the ruling class and is only to be obtained through the political process.
For Obama and his cronies, the state is the ultimate god. The people are simply commodities owned by the state and to be disposed of if it advances the cause of the state and the leftist party.
Obama embodies this philosophical sea change in Obamacare. Under Obamacare, no longer are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness paramount virtues. Only what you can do for the state and your worth is measured on that basis. If you are old, then you are a commodity to be disposed of, like an old car that has outlived its useful life.
Obama views Americans not as masters of the government but as chattel of the state.
That is why we fear Obama. He views those soldiers as disposable, if he needs them to be. Duty, honor and courage are just words in a dictionary to Obama.
That is why those soldiers should be afraid.
That is why we should all be afraid.

Permalink Reply by Jody Raines on Margaret Thatcher was right: (to paraphrase) Socialism is wonderful until you run out of other people's money. I am hoping the escalating gas prices will destroy him if there is any hope of doing so. In the end, even the takers in society vote their pocketbooks.
I ran by a local quick-stop for gas and while I was getting a precious $20 worth, the man on the other side of the tanks said, "You know it's going up even higher this weekend."
"Yes," I said, "I don't know how we're going to make it."
And he says, "I'm on disability and it's either groceries or gas."
I felt like replying, "Well, you ought to try it WITHOUT getting a check from the government just because you get up in the morning."

Our primary mode of "transportation" is walking. I think that we have "forgotten" that there is a high price for "being taken care of". I had a niece that found this out the hard way. She married a millionaire and found out "that the fellow that pays the bills is always right" ! So she left him and went back to teaching school. Now, she has her "Freedom" (because she pays her own bills).

Osama Bin Laden said we would spend all our money and not be victorious and he was basically correct. I believe it is time for our military to forget the destroy then rebuild strategy in lue of an attack, kill and leave mentaility. Countries and dictators need to be afraid of America's military period. I believe the UN and weak kneed politicians have emboldened our enemies and it is time for a new plan where diplomacy has a clear and concise ending and then we deal with the bad actors strongly and leave. Let the humanitarian efforts after the "battle" be handled by the Red Cross and other agencies equipped to handle those duties. The last 10 years efforts have been a ridculous exercise in futility. Not by the military personnel themselves but by the leaders that make the policy our military has to follow.

Let all the Europeans be responsible for their own defense and stop using taxpayer money for this type of entitlement welfare for foreigners. Let those fanatical belligerent Muslim heathens in Afghanistan kill themselves and bring our troops home to protect the USA, our borders, our people and to preserve our sovereignty. I don't buy into the lies of the Globalists that push the USA into occupying foreign countries. I sometimes wonder that with $1 billion of untapped mineral reserves discovered in Afghanistan, are American soldiers fighting and dying to really fight a so called war on terror?
As for the soldiers who mistakenly burned those books of violence and hatred that Muslims love; I'd say to that dictator Karzai, we'll just leave your country OK and let you handle your own matters. The following week we will then see the execution of that stinking Afghan puppet on TV.
In case any have forgotten, those Kurans were being used to transmit messages. Burning them was not mere antagonism for the sake of being hateful. IOW, Dennis, I agree with you completely.
