Newt Gingrich is still out there, still working.  Every time he comes up with a great idea, we should all be asking ourselves, “How the hell did we have a candidate this good and end up with someone like Romney as the nominee?”

Newt Gingrich went to the NRA and dropped a bomb.

He said that if he were President he would offer an amendment to the UN Charter that would make the right to keep and bear arms a universal human right.

Wow!

Gingrich points out that if that were in fact an enforceable right, there would be a lot fewer people killed by dictatorships, fewer women raped and fewer dictators surviving.

Mitt Romney went to the NRA and offered a generic offer of support for the Second Amendment.  Of course, in years earlier Romney had supported the Assault Weapons ban and other gun control measures.  But Captain Etch A Sketch is saying what ever he has to in order to get the nomination.

Newt Gingrich understands liberty, which is the most frustrating part about the traction his campaign has not gotten.  Newt points out that our rights come from God, not from man.  Ergo man is not allowed to take them.

Newt is a man for whom words like Freedom and Liberty are not simply talking points or the punch line for a speech.

As soon as the nomination is officially his, Romney will tack away from the right.  He is not a conservative and he believes the people who tell him he must move to the middle.

We will watch with dismay as he does that and if he does get elected, we will watch in disappointment as the conservative ideals he claimed he championed during the primary season are forgotten.

And many of us will be asking why the GOP did not put Newt Gingrich in the White House.

In the lastest Rasmussen tracking poll, which has had no media coverage, Newt Gingrich is trailing Barack Obama by only 7 points nationally. this is what we dont hear. We should know better.

If Romney get the nominee...it will be more easy to impeach Romney than Obama.  Just hope he will pick Newt if that is the case.

Judson - we were negligent and didn't actually give Newt support after the Iowa fiasco; we followed the same path that we did in 2008 and that's what I don't understand. In my mind there was only one candidate who could place our Nation back on track and most ignored him and still are as a matter of fact.

I really don't know what the people are looking for in a candidate - my only conclusion is this many of them moved from the Conservative position and pretty much ignored our Constitution. There aren't any feasible excuses this year; we're headed for four years of disaster anyway you look at it. The majority has become a bunch of sheep following the Old Republican Establishment and the scary thing is this any few mention it. Christy and Rubio have joined Romney so that tells me we're not very good in picking candidates. The fact that Christy and Rubio jumped on Romney's bandwagon says a thousand words.

Sally - yes they were and Sarah Palin beats all around the bush hesitating to actually support Newt.  We're seeing Republicans at their worst right now and this tells all of us why we have Barack Obama destroying our Nation - those who profess to follow our Constitution are in fact two faced.

Boehner I understand - he's never changed.  Paul Ryan, whoa!!!!!!

This is tough! What can one man do?!  All my fellow constitutional conservative countrymen and countrywomen, we’ve been set up and sold down the river! Fox News mantra: “America’s Election Headquarters – Fair and Balanced!” Master deceivers! Bait and switch! Please, all of those like me, who have felt that Fox News was on the side of we the people, like with Bill O’Reilly; “We’re always looking out for you;” I respect your attitude, but please bear with me and let me explain how we’ve been duped. We’ve even been sold on the idea that Fox News wasn’t a part of the “elitist mainstream media” that narcissistically thinks “only we are smart enough to understand so the sheep have to be properly directed.”

Wrong! Fox News also has its elitist host’s and pundits! Early on in their backroom power meetings primarily directed by how best to improve their viewer ratings, (which is true for all media outlets) they decided that Romney was the man. Even though they can show that Mitt may have not had as many appearances or interviews as Newt did, and Santorum even had less exposure, there was a major predetermined difference! No matter what Romney said, or how he was clearly the prime big money instigator of ugly negative ad attacks against his opponents, the pundit commentary was always “respectful and considerate” whenever they spoke of him. In fact there was even that Huckabee “Economic Issues” town hall show when a predetermined question only for Mitt from the local father, of how he would assure VA care for his wounded veteran son, giving Mitt the chance to show how compassionate and caring he was. How nice! To be “fair and balanced” that same question should have been asked of the other candidates as well, giving them the same opportunity.

Just the opposite was true of anything they had to say about Newt. No matter how calm and factual he was when he responded to their “trip-up” questions or insinuations, the punditry was full of slurs and innuendos, such as “whiner,” “vengeful,” “angry,” “undisciplined,” and on and on. Bret Baier and Charles Krauthammer are the most insolent. The same was true, only to a lesser degree, for Santorum. This of course is what Newt’s later dismissive yet calm and respectful comment about Fox News was all about.

And now we come to Fox News “destroy Newt” power play! Even though there are those who claim to be conservative but have bought into the establishment lies, we the people constitutional conservatives know that Speaker Gingrich is the strongest most capable true Reagan conservative still standing, but Fox News has totally broken their promise to be “fair and balanced.” They have already crowned Mitt as Obama’s opponent for the upcoming general election! Their strategy is now in full swing! Publish no poll numbers; spread the word that Romney is the nominee; have people vote based on blackout and misinformation expecting Romney to win big; then hit hard with Romney’s wins and Newt’s losses to bully Newt into dropping. And with that, Romney, Romney, Romney; that’s all you hear, with no mention, no coverage and not one appearance for Newt! And it’s getting more hateful by the hour!

Bret Baier even slammed Newt for his rightful Secret Service protection expense while not mentioning that Ron Paul and Mittens are getting the same cover which is an absolute necessity for those campaigning to become the POTUS, the most powerful office on earth. Every single Fox News Show host, including Hannity, who has up to now been the strongest defender of Newt’s conservative credentials, and even Huckabee who I thought was a strong conservative Christian, has fallen into line.

I think it’s time to make Fox News aware that we the people are in control of who we want to be our nominee, and not their elitist “only we understand and you the people need to fall in line,” power players. Even though they have a very powerful mind altering propaganda machine, we can still make them live up to their promise to be fair and balanced. So here is my suggestion. Spread this word across the land. Fox News does not deserve our patronage if they disrespect us so much that they will do anything they have to, to have it their way. I even recommend that we let them know any way we can that we will boycott all their advertisers if they fail to live up to their “bait and switch” promise to be fair and balanced. Spred the word!

All my fellow constitutional conservative countrymen and countrywomen across this land! I can’t believe Fox News! Fair and balanced – Big lie! Everything in favor of Mitt! Either no mention or anything said about Newt – slanderous, insulting, derogatory, distorted, masters of deceit at work! Please, all of those like me, who have felt that Fox News was on the side of we the people, like with Bill O’Reilly; “We’re always looking out for you;” I respect your attitude, but please bear with me and let me explain how we’ve been sold down the river. For years they’ve sang their fair and balanced mantra and as the result the vast majority of their viewing audience have been ‘we the people,’ conservatives and moderates.

But now they’re showing their true colors. The Fox News elitist hosts and pundits, in their backroom power meetings with their powerful mind altering propaganda machine, have turned their backs on us. We no longer count, they are the only ones that understand and we the sheep need their direction to determine who our nominee should be. My heart is sickened! FNC no longer deserves our allegiance and since they’re basically stabbing us in the back, why waste out time just seeing the “trees” they want us to see in the way they want us to see them, rather than seeing the whole forest with all its diversity.

For a more comprehensive and objective (fair and balanced) conservative perspective news source, I suggest http://www.wnd.com/ (WorldNetDaily). Maybe if all the conservative and moderate seekers of truth across this great land, which make up 75% of our populace, would abandon FNC, they’d get the message! Join me!
