Newt Gingrich is still out there, still working. Every time he comes up with a great idea, we should all be asking ourselves, “How the hell did we have a candidate this good and end up with someone like Romney as the nominee?”
Newt Gingrich went to the NRA and dropped a bomb.
He said that if he were President he would offer an amendment to the UN Charter that would make the right to keep and bear arms a universal human right.
Wow!
Gingrich points out that if that were in fact an enforceable right, there would be a lot fewer people killed by dictatorships, fewer women raped and fewer dictators surviving.
Mitt Romney went to the NRA and offered a generic offer of support for the Second Amendment. Of course, in years earlier Romney had supported the Assault Weapons ban and other gun control measures. But Captain Etch A Sketch is saying what ever he has to in order to get the nomination.
Newt Gingrich understands liberty, which is the most frustrating part about the traction his campaign has not gotten. Newt points out that our rights come from God, not from man. Ergo man is not allowed to take them.
Newt is a man for whom words like Freedom and Liberty are not simply talking points or the punch line for a speech.
As soon as the nomination is officially his, Romney will tack away from the right. He is not a conservative and he believes the people who tell him he must move to the middle.
We will watch with dismay as he does that and if he does get elected, we will watch in disappointment as the conservative ideals he claimed he championed during the primary season are forgotten.
And many of us will be asking why the GOP did not put Newt Gingrich in the White House.

Here is the link to the article referenced by Pamela: http://www.politijim.com/2012/04/honest-talk-about-gingrichs-woman.... I strongly recommend it to Newt-o-philes for content and for links to other content. Politijim has done some amazing research that fills in the gaps the MSM refused to reveal.
Those who have been sucked into the MSM rhetoric about Newt should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!!
Newt Gingrich is the most honest and the most honorable man in the political arena today BAR NONE! He is also the most courageous and the most trustworthy.
Permalink Reply by Martin Carr, PhD on April 15, 2012 at 1:15pm Folks, don't give up hope, it ain't over yet. He can still win the nomination. It just means that each and every one of us, must stand up and make our voices heard above the din of the RNC. The RNC and media do NOT want Newt because he will rattle more than just a few cages. He will unleash the States from the Feds, force accountability upon the feds, RNC, and media. He will do so much more than any of the other candidates have even thought about.
we have to let go of his old baggage and look at what he is saying, writing, and doing. I'm going to get religious for a moment, I know who and what I was before I got serious with Jesus, He made a change in my life, and I am hoping and praying that He has made the same changes in Newt's life. If we each sent him just a small check it would 1) help pay some of the costs, 2) motivate other big donors to take another look, and 3) help to encourage him. And then, maybe, the RNC would think about supporting him, which would bring along the media.
Just my thoughts!!

Permalink Reply by Brenda Choate on April 15, 2012 at 1:21pm Simple, they are afraid of him. He has the knowledge, knows the history, and knows where support lies in the congress. The GOP is going for the celeb candidate, the one with enough money to buy the election, uses unsupported statements to destroy his oponent, and can't seem to make up his mind as to which side of the fence he is on. This will not be an election, but a contest between who spends to most. Romney does not have what it takes to take on obama. He will do the same as McCain and try to play nice. Unfortunantly, he is was he is and he is what we have, may God help us.
The reason is you have squandered the opportunity to unit the Tea Party behind a candidate who would champion our greatest issues.
I have proposed several suggestions over the last year but they were not accepted by the , so called Tea Party website leaders. I proposed last year that we have a barnstorming of the most important issues.
Then we, the Tea party, could vote on 4 or 5 of the issues to which our candidate must agree and commit.
This would narrow down the field of candidates and present. publicly our greatest concerns.
You ignored this idea and opted rather to throw out hundreds of issues, which only incited anger rather than a focused thought. That only succeeded in division, scattering the support for any candidate rather than uniting everyone behind a candidate who would champion our greatest concerns.
You could have given the Tea Party the opportunity to let the candidates and the public focus on "our" issues, creating a wider interest nationally. But did that happen? NO! Why not?

I put my life on it if nominated he will move to the middle and his message will change. He is everything that I dont believe in. I could tell Obama was a phony from the beginning and I know Mitt is a phony to. Hes has no ideas or substance. His beliefs are fair fetched he will turn off any black voters because of his beliefs. He turns most women off. I feel that a plant was placed to make it seem that he does like women. It is lie because because I have seen videos of him telling poor stay at home wifes to get a job. This is the hoax of all elections. If anyone is intelligent they should see right thru this man. This is the man they want for pres come on
