Do you remember George H.W. Bush?
He is the forgotten President, squished in between the Greatest President, Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton. He’s the guy who blew the Reagan legacy.
The funniest part of all is that he thinks Republicans are still dying to listen to this one term wonder.
In an interview with Parade Magazine, the Granddaddy of the RINO’s, Mr. Read My Lips, weighed in on Grover Norquist and his Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
Bush, who famously broke his word on no new taxes and went from a 90% approval rating to losing the election a little over a year later said those types of pledges should be ignored.
Bush said, ““The rigidity of those pledges is something I don’t like. The circumstances change and you can’t be wedded to some formula by Grover Norquist. It’s — who the hell is Grover Norquist, anyway?”
Who the hell is George H.W. Bush?
He’s the guy who called the strategy that Ronald Reagan used to bring America back, “Voodoo economics.”
George H.W. Bush is the last guy the Republicans should be listening to.
The GOP has been listening to the RINO wing of the party since the days of Reagan. What has that gotten us? In case they have not been paying attention, the last Republican to win a landslide on his own was Reagan. Bush won big in 88 because he was Reagan’s VP. On his own, he crashed and burned. That same wing gave us Bob Dole and John McCain. Those were spectacular successes. Even George W. Bush, who had the common sense to claim to be a conservative, was only able to eek out narrow wins against second-rate opponents.
When Republicans run as conservatives, Republicans win. When Republicans do things like promise they will not raise taxes and will cut spending, provided they actually live up to their word, they win big time.
There is an old saying, “If you cannot be a good example, at least be a horrible warning.
George H.W. Bush should be the GOP’s horrible warning of what not to do.

Permalink Reply by David J Edwards on July 13, 2012 at 10:18pm Perhaps you too were assigned to read Paul Ehrlich's, "The Population Bomb", back in the early 70's. If you too remember the lunatics and crackpots of that time... Well done! They help Marxists like Obama scare weak minded, partially educated twits into the Occupy Movement and herd more idiots into the rest of the disruption going on.
They nurtured and grew inconvenient dolts like Albert Gore and many others of his simple-minded, but utterly corrupt kind.
Remember, but also teach the young ones. Even if you remember everything that happened, it will all be lost the day you die unless you pass it on to the young ones.
You must pass it on.
Permalink Reply by Scott Rutledge on July 13, 2012 at 3:14pm Couldn't agree with you more, Judson. George HW is the Father of the RINO movement. There is no question about that. His legacy lives on - and we've been suffering defeat and losses ever since, as a result. The man couldn't complete a sentence (ever see Dana Carvey's hilarious and spot-on impersonations!?) and I'm fairly certain couldn't spell "conservative". He certainly didn't know how to act like one, but then, what else would we expect from a wealthy, upper crust New Englander? dubya was cut from the same cloth.
I read on another discussion thread here yesterday some guy telling another guy to keep quiet in his criticism of dubya, because "besides Iraq, George W. Bush was perfect". Perfect?!? Good grief, I wish I were smoking the same weed that my fellow TPN'er is! If you honestly believe that dubya's legacy - adding $5 TRILLION to the national debt over his 8 years, MORE THAN DOUBLING IT, and a whole host of other bone-headed progressive blunders, like trying to push the UN's Law of The Sea Treaty that surrenders our national sovereignty to the UN re: access and use of the world's seas through the Senate (AFTER Reagan had nixed it and the Senate blocked Clinton's attempt to ramrod it through after that!) - then count me out! What a family of bone-heads!

There is a saying in Texas..."ALL HAT AND NO COWS"......that would be GEORGE W !

Permalink Reply by Royce Latham on July 13, 2012 at 3:46pm George HW Bush is more in control than anybody suspects, not only of the Rinos but also of the Clintons and of Obama. Bush senior is a truly frightening character. We should never let a director of the CIA be in charge of the country. Audit his foreign bank accounts and you will be surprised.

Amen ! He is one of the "Real Enemies from within and without" !

He was an is a globalist, elitist, bilderberger and friend of David Rockefeller.
If you trace the Bush family history, the Rockefeller history and how the Bush family was there to implement David
Rockefeller's vision of a one world government, then you would know why Reagan absolutely hated him. A virtual gun was held to Reagan's head to force him to take Bush on as his running mate.
Permalink Reply by Robbie Eagle on July 13, 2012 at 7:21pm Berks TP,the bush's are all of that & more. Prescott bush supported the Nazi's. g.h.w. bush as director of the CIA brought drugs out of Cambodia into the U.S. Anyone who fought in the Vietnam war will tell you the same thing. I have also heard that g.w. bush had drugs in caskets coming out of Afghanistan. That makes them drug lords as well.
Permalink Reply by Royce Latham on July 14, 2012 at 1:29am George Herbert Walker and Prescott Bush, W's grandfathers, were in business with Averell Harriman, (son of railroad magnate EH Harriman) and the Rockefellars. They all did business with HItler's original investor, Fritz Thyssen before and during WWII. Allen Dulles, later Director of the CIA, covered up the money trail for the Bushes.
GH Walker, Prescott Bush, GHW Bush, GW Bush, and Averell Harriman were all members of Skull and Bones.
Prescott Bush engaged in skulldugery by digging up the skull of Geronimo, cleaning it up and using it in rituals. The Apaches were not pleased.

Where can one find and examine the records of those 1920 to 1945 charges? ... and the extent to which the Bushes "did business with HItler's original investor, Fritz Thyssen"?
Is there a single well foot-noted source of verification? Or is all that scattered in many locations?
Upsetting Apaches is not wise.

Remember Geronimo was the code name used in the fictitious bin Laden murder and subsequent cover up.
Here is an interesting excerpt from the below linked pdf:
"It was a matter of public record that the Bush holdings were seized by the US government after
the Nazis overran Holland. In 1951, the Bush's reclaimed Union Bank from the US Alien
Property Custodian, along with their "neutral" Dutch assets. I did not realize it, but I had
stumbled across a very large piece of the missing Dutch connection. Bush's ownership of the
Holland-American investment company was the missing link to Manning's earlier research in the
Thyssen investigative files. In 1981, Manning had written:
"Thyssen's first step in a long dance of tax and currency frauds began [in the late 1930's] when

he disposed of his shares in the Dutch Hollandische-Amerikanische Investment Corporation to
be credited to the Bank voor Handel en Scheepvaart, N.V., Rotterdam, the bank founded in
1916 by August Thyssen Senior."
In this one obscure paragraph, in a little known book, Manning had unwittingly documented two
intriguing points: 1) The Bush's Union Bank had apparently bought the same corporate stock
that the Thyssens were selling as part of their Nazi money laundering, and 2) the Rotterdam
Bank, far from being a neutral Dutch institution, was founded by Fritz Thyssen's father. In
hindsight, Manning and I had uncovered different ends of the Dutch connection."

Thyysen ( a Danish name) had supplied millions to help bring Hitler to power, to counter the growing Communist party movement in Germany. Thyssen's industrial strength produced over half of the Nazi steel for their war machine. Thyssen reportedly left the German employ shortly after Crystal Nacht, but that is his story or one placed on his behalf.
