Ron Paul is surging in Iowa, but the question is why and where are those votes coming from?

From The UK Telegraph:

Dismissed by many as too extreme to win the nomination, Mr Paul has a fiercely loyal following that could propel him to an upset election victory in the January 3 caucus.

In the last week he has surged from 18 points to 21, leaving him only one behind Mr Gingrich and five ahead of Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor who was once the presumptive nominee but is now being buffeted from all sides.

Iowa has always posed a challenge for Mr Romney, who governed as moderate in Massachusetts and whose Mormon faith may hold him back in an electorate that is 60 per cent evangelical Christian.

"The momentum is building up and a lot of the candidates so far would come and go. They would shoot to the top and drop back rapidly. Ours has been very steady growth, then in this last week or two there has been a sudden extra growth," said Mr Paul.

Where is all of this sudden Ron Paul interest coming from?

Ron Paul has never been able to gather more than 10% or so in any poll.   So why the sudden surge?

If you were on Obama’s campaign team and you wanted to cause as much mischief as possible and screw things up as much as possible, which candidate would you want?

Gingrich?  No, he would destroy Obama in a debate.

Romney? No.  He has a strong organization and could be a formidable opponent.

Bachmann?  No, she energizes the Tea Party vote.

Perry?  No, for the same reason.

What about Santorum or Huntsman?  Their numbers are too far down for there to be a realistic shot at them causing problems in the primary.

The perfect candidate for Democrats is Ron Paul.

The Democrats are not going to simply forget about the primaries.  They remember Rush Limbaugh’s operation chaos of 2008 and certainly would love to return the favor.

Thus enter Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is the Republican candidate who has almost no chance to win on his own, yet his continued candidacy could really prolong the GOP primaries.

Ron Paul is the candidate Obama would probably most like to face.  In debates he comes off as a ranting, crazy old man.  While his talks about fiscal restraint is great, as soon as he is led into areas of foreign policy, he scares the hell out of most Americans.

With no one to run against Obama in the primaries, you can bet Democrats will be crossing over to cause as much mischief as they can.

And to cause some of that mischief, you can bet they will be voting for Ron Paul.

So  why would anyone voter for Ron Paul knowing that he might swing the votes to "the Kenyan"?

Kathe: I have heard more Democrats who voted for Obama, would vote Republican if Ron Paul was the candidate. These are people who readily admit they voted for Obama in 2008.   I already believe that the voting machines have been program to elect the False POTUS again anyway.

That's exactly the same spam link as you posted  just above, Jeff ! Stop!

Vote Paper Ballot!

Here is the way i see it: The republicans are promoting who they want to win the WH. They won't investigate obama's INELIGIBILITY-WHY??? They are promoting NEWT- Who clearly promotes SEN.RUBIO to be VP- KNOWING fULL WELL THAT HE IS NOT A NBC-----WE NEED TO SEND A MESSAGE TO THEM--TELL THE GOP UNLESS OBAMAS INELIGIBILITY IS INVESTIGATED BY THEM WE,THE PEOPLE WILL VOTE FOR OBAMA---AND THEN THEY CAN BRING IT ON!!!!   WE,THE PEOPLE WILL FIGHT TO KEEP OUR CONSTITUTIONAL LAWS IN PLACE!!!    GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!!! (PATRICK HENRY)

To all you Newtbots and Mittbots it does not matter who you or I want to be president.  Get that thru your thick skulls.  We can sit here and discuss the likes and dislkes of every person running and would not make a difference what we say.  Cause the as you all know the elections are rigged and we will be given the 2 candidates chosen by our owners of the unfederal reserve and the leaders of the Council on Foreign Relations of which Newt is a long standing member of and for some of you who dont know what the they stand for - they stand for the destruction of the United States of America's soverignty and the final step will be One World Government.  Just keep doing the same things we always have and nothing will change.  We all want the same thing here are freedoms, but that is not up to us any longer. So united we stand - divided we fall.

I believe that Ron Paul has a greater following than the media gives him credit for. If you are tired of America wasting taxpayers money and sending thousands of our our young people to be crippled or die needlessly in wars frought for the globalists, tired of politicians draining our treasury and funding the world's needs and tired of a government that ignores the US Constitution, then Ron Paul is the man.

I predict that Ron Paul will make a serious run for the Whitehouse as much of the American population is tired of war, after war, after war and tired of the special interests that tell you what to think and what to believe. Quite frankly I don't give a crap about any country other than the USA.  Other countries want to drain our treasury, flood our markets with cheap goods that cost American jobs and continue to mooch off America. They don't care about us.  Why should we care about them?

I agree Dennis L.  I am so sick of war and seeing young men and women come home in a casket.  I frequently attend the memorial services of all fallen soldiers in our area with the Patriot Guards.  I stand in honor to them and that their lives were ended so shortly.  They are heros...and I am sick of countries taking all our money and then most of the leaders in those country use the money for their own selves.  I am sick of hearing how many billions of dollars are sent year after year and nothing changes in those countries....I am sick of foreign aid.  I want to start taking care of the United States of America and making our nation more free and more profitable for all.  We need to stop making any more laws.  We have to many now and most of the new ones are so unconstitutional that it makes me sick.  We need to start repealing all of these laws that usurp any of our rights under the constitution.  All regulations on small businesses gone.  IRS stopped from being a Gestapo and get rid of the unconstitutional income tax.  Nobody should have their income taxed period.  I am sick of other countries living off of our hard earned money and being on our welfare line.  I am right there with you Dennis...

Our best chance to win is to nominate a candidate who can keep the focus on Obama's record, his decisions, his ideology, etc.  Obama's best chance to win is if our nominee is easy to attack.  Lack of executive experience, nutty comments, anything they can think of.  Whoever we nonimate, Obama will engage in all they can to do isolate and attack.  Then with the help of a compliant media, the Obama team will be able to make the election about our nominee.

Politics is a contact sport with no rules.GAME ON!

Folks this is as old as the first political party ever so learn the game or step aside.

In Iowa there is no paper ballot or elctronic one you stand up and say who you support  best way to vote ever. Then this is a cacus not a primary and its an election for delgates to the county convention and then to the state conventions.
