This year, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and RINO company sold us out on the debt ceiling. Now, not only are there no significant changes in spending, the Obama regime is going to come back for permission to borrow more money.
From Reuters:
The White House plans to ask Congress by the end of the week for an increase in the government's debt ceiling to allow the United States to pay its bills on time, according to a senior Treasury Department official on Tuesday.
The approval is expected to go through without a challenge, given that Congress is in recess until later in January and the request is in line with an agreement to keep the U.S. government funded into 2013.
The debt is projected to fall within $100 billion of the current cap by December 30, when the United States has $82 billion in interest on its debt and payments such as Social Security coming due. President Barack Obama is expected to ask for authority to increase the borrowing limit by $1.2 trillion, part of the spending authority that was negotiated between Congress and the White House this summer.
Under the agreement struck in August during the showdown over the government's debt limit, the cap is automatically raised unless Congress votes to block the debt-ceiling extension. Lawmakers have 15 days within receiving the request to vote, which is largely symbolic because the president can veto it and Congress would be unlikely to muster the two-thirds majority to override it. Moreover, the U.S. House of Representatives also is in recess until January 17.
This insanity must be stopped. It is not negotiable.
In August, the debt ceiling deal, which was a terrible deal, put off a new debt ceiling increase until 2013. The Obama regime, aided and abetted by John Boehner and Mitch McConnell has spent so much money they are going to have to ask to borrow more.
This is one where we must draw a line in the sand. The Republican Party must stop the lunacy. The Republican Party must stop the spending. The GOP controls the House of Representatives, so the spending can be stopped by the House.
Will they have the courage to do that or will we the people need to step up and put all of them into the unemployment line?

Judson, we need to do something besides complain on our computers to one another; What can we do? Can you submit a letter to the new Republicans we elected in the Congress? They can still stop this two month extension of Social security payments/tax reduction cant they? Doesnt it require a unaminous vote? Our only hope is for the new congressmen to block
This is awful as are so many things.I'm interested in knowing if Judson is still supporting Newt especially given the information about his support of Romney care and big government.Santorem and Perry look better and better every single day.
Permalink Reply by John Beck on December 27, 2011 at 1:16pm Since Perry is the only one who has advocated a major rebuilding of the government, I just don't understand why he hasn't been better supported. All the other candadates just want to nip around the edges and we will end up with the same old corruption in Washington. If we don't have a major reconstruction of government this time, it isn't going to happen. I just assume people like it the way it is?

The DEA's "largest drug cash seizure ever" of $207,000,000 made in Mexico, according to the DEA website
(Dec. 26, 2011) — The New York Times is reporting that “millions of dollars” have passed through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to Mexican drug dealers, raising the same concerns about which Congress has been grilling Eric Holder for the last several months in regard to the Fast and Furious gunrunning operation.

Permalink Reply by Fitzhugh Havens on December 27, 2011 at 1:02pm Ya can bet Boehner is out there laundering up a new white flag cuz it's for sure he don't have the balls to say no. This sorry ass excuse of a president should be impeached, but so long as Boehner is the Speaker of the House, it ain't gonna happen.
Permalink Reply by Robert Hamlin on December 27, 2011 at 1:03pm You know very well this increase is a done deal. The Republicans can't and wont stop the increase. In an election year, Obama, his Marxist toadies in Congress , the media and unions will trot out the "victims" line up for display. They will use the same old Republican obstructionist mantra. The tired old, Republicans want to starve Grandma routine. Republicans will cave as usual, because they basically lack cajones and live in fear of offending any group (other than their own base) in an election year.
