A famous motivational speaker is known for telling his audience, what one thing, if you did it right now, would help you achieve your goals? In January, Mitt Romney is going to be sworn in as the 45th President of the United States. What one thing could Romney do immediately, that would help start changing the course of America?
There is one thing he could do that is Constitutional. What is it?
Mitt Romney has repeatedly said he will repeal Obamacare on his first day in office. Unless the new Congress presents him with a repeal bill that day, it will not happen.
There is one thing he could do that would be very decisive. The impact would not be felt immediately but would be significant. He would not be the first President to do this.
Does anyone remember what Ronald Reagan’s first act as President was?
He froze hiring by the Federal Government.
Mitt Romney needs to do the same thing.
Ronald Reagan’s hiring freeze lasted 90 days. Mitt Romney’s hiring freeze needs to last at least four years.
Why a hiring freeze?
This is one of the fastest ways to stop the growth of government. The size of government has ballooned under Barack Obama. It is time to reduce it.
If there is a hiring freeze, the media will not be able to come up with those tear jerk stories about government workers being fired by Romney who likes to fire people.
As the government payroll beings to shrink, that means there will be fewer bureaucrats to harass the taxpayers and fewer bureaucrats interfering with businesses as they try to stay afloat in the Great Obama Depression.
After a couple of years of a freeze, as the government really does shrink, America will see just how much government we do not need.
Unlike many of the promises to repeal Obamacare, this action by Mitt Romney would be absolutely constitutional. As President, he is in charge of the Executive Branch of the government. He has the right to impose a hiring freeze.
Many, including Mitt Romney, make a big deal of his business experience, especially as it concerns turning around businesses. Running a business and running a government are two different skill sets.
However Romney is certainly more experienced in running and building organizations than Barack Obama. Romney has the other advantage that, unlike Barack Obama, he does not want to destroy America.
In a perfect world, Romney would impose a four-year hiring freeze. Government would shrink just because there would be fewer government employees. In the end, a freeze like this would not be absolute. There are parts of the government that would have to hire some new employees for crucial parts of the government such as the Defense Department and the CIA for example.
Freezing government spending could be the first thing a Romney administration could do.
What would be the second? Having some bright people go through the entire Federal Government to look for wasteful, inefficient and failed programs to eliminate.
Will Mitt Romney do either?
I don’t know. But I do know this, Barack Obama won’t. He is growing government as much as possible and in the process, wasting as much money as possible.
That makes November an easy choice and gives me some hope for some real change in January.

You asked that of which is a echo of the voice of America, this in put by Albert, is a on going in put...so now I will share what is echoing in the Hearts and Minds Of Our Vets In Harms Way...
This is in part of what the International Boycott Of The Arabic Drug Empire stands for. A war against the most Power-full Drug Empire In The World.
Photo source is from CBS News and New York Times is in support of story.
So Romney, this is what our Vets see, and in behalf of our United States Military Vets, I ask to end this War, and to share Why Are Our Military Protecting Poppy Plants ?
Mr. Romney, President Obama turned his back on this and the Vets...sir....I want All Americans world wide to see our Vets shoot to hell and back to protect heroin...
Is it true what our Vets share, that our Government made a drug deal with Bin Laden and his Drug Lords, and you all betrayed that drug deal...?
Permalink Reply by Albert Ben Warford on August 19, 2012 at 4:37pm It is a painful thing to see our young men being shot to hell for lies and nothing will ever be gained or done to expose the truth.
Thank you Henry may they all come home soon.

Permalink Reply by Phil McConathy on August 19, 2012 at 8:40am Great start. I would like for him to rescind EVERY executive order that this socialist has signed, fire EVERY Czar, and replace every Obama appointed federal judge. Now that would be a good first days work for America.
Permalink Reply by Janet Warnsdorfer on August 19, 2012 at 8:41am Can you get this idea to Romney?
Permalink Reply by Gail E. Engelhardt on August 19, 2012 at 8:45am Great Idea. Repeal Obamacare, Freeze spending and get rid of the Waste.
This is a little off topic, but if Obama is not Impeached while in Office for crimes against our Constitution, especially Treason, can he be tried and punished after he is out of Office. Will his background records be unsealed, and if we find he was a fraud all along can his mandates and unlawful laws and appointments be overturned. If we have a Republican controlled Senate and House of Representatives in 2013, do you think they have the stomach to do what is lawfully right for our Country when it comes to Obama? Will they let this go and never get down to the bottom of the situation? I for one do not want to see Obama on the speech circuit making millions and spewing his agenda of hate against our Country. Is there a statute of limitations on Obama crimes against our Nation?
Permalink Reply by Chas Jones on August 19, 2012 at 9:25am IF, Obama is voted out, that's that. There will be NO official effort to demonstrate either his ineligibility nor his criminality. There should be but there will not be. However ... IF that is to be abandoned ... it is ESSENTIAL that our next president BEGIN on day one reversing almost everything done by Obama~Reid~Pelosi since democrats took majorities in congress back in 2007.
We need our NEXT president to emphasize the seriousness by which he takes his constitutional OATH! We NEED our next president to emphasize that almost ALL of our current crisis and national ills are results of our departure from obedience to our constitution. Sadly, if Romney is that president, it is FAR more likely he will tweak things from directions he opposes toward directions he favors will little, if any, care for constitutionality.
That is where we MUST be applying CONSTANT pressure upon House and Senate members to guide or FORCE Romney, if it IS Romney, to do the constitutional things.
I understand "Rome wasn't built in a day," and we won't restore our constitutional republic, Rule of valid Law, nor Liberty ... in a day. However, we need a very FULL 1st Day, followed by equally FULL 1st Week and 1st Month and 1st YEAR!
We don't have time for presidential nor congressional "business as usual." Nor weekends off, recesses, rounds of golf, or globe-trotting. Our next president AND congress needs their 1st YEAR to be one of Hard Work. Let those we may later go visit, in that 1st YEAR come to America to see US.
YES, YES, YES, Mr. Jones ! CLAP CLAP CLAP, etc.
Well, YES, Gail, a " president " CAN be impeached, after leaving office, for a crime which he committed, WHILE in office, . . . . Just as in the case of Richrd Nixon, Nixon did NOT resign, to avoid being impeached ; Nixon STILL could have been inpeached, . . . . up until the NEW president, Gerald Ford, PARDONED him, . . . . GASP, . . . .
