What I know about Michele Bachmann

The first National Tea Party Convention brings back both pleasant and unpleasant memories for me. We were thrilled with the success of the convention, not only because of the training many of our grassroots activists received, but because of the positive portrayal of the movement the main stream media witnessed.

However, prior to the event, there was a lot of turmoil and controversy generated not only by the left, but by people who’s motives centered on more destroying Judson and Tea Party Nation than they were in furthering the movement.  Not only were these attacks personal, they were, in most instances, total lies.

One blogger painted his warped account of his experience with Judson, when the truth was, in my opinion, he was nothing more than a grifter who tried to charge Tea Party Nation $5,000 for software that was a free download on the internet.  Once this scheme was discovered, he tried to weasel his way out by slandering Judson to anyone who would listen.

Another well known “conservative” blogger blared the headlines that Judson wanted to make a million dollars from the tea party movement. This headline was put in quotes as though he actually said it. This blogger never bothered to ask Judson if he ever said this. Nor did she have any proof other than the word of  people who had personal axes to grind.  For the record, Judson has never said this. He has, however, repeatedly stated he wanted to have a million members of Tea Party Nation fighting for conservatism.

As all of this was going on, Judson refused to give interviews to some media outlets because they made it clear from the onset they were out to do a hit piece on him.  One media contributor for AOL wrote a crucifying piece filled with stories that were completely fabricated after Judson told the “reporter” he would not do an interview. And to be clear, I have never been married before, nor have I ever lived with anyone other than my parents. I am from Richmond, Virginia and moved to Tennessee when Judson and I got married in June 1996.

In short, Judson and Tea Party Nation were “Palinized.”

Before all of this started, Judson received a phone call from someone in DC who warned him the “Journolist” were about to come after him and to be prepared. We braced for the onslaught and handled the attacks as they launched.

This brings us to Michele Bachmann. Both she and our Representative, Marsha Blackburn, were scheduled to appear at the convention. Shortly before the convention was to take place, both of them were given conflicting advice as to whether or not they could attend. They decided not to take any chances and withdrew from the convention.

While both called Judson and apologized for having to withdraw, it was Michele Bachmann who went the extra mile.

She and Judson played “telephone tag” for about an hour before they finally connected. Not one of her staff, not a secretary placing the call for her, but the Congresswoman herself continued to call Judson personally until they connected.

When they did finally connect, she apologized profusely for having to withdraw, stating that she was just sick that she could not attend. This was no five minute conversation, but one that went on for almost 45 minutes.

She could have delegated one of her staffers to take care of it. She chose not to.

This left an impression on both me and Judson that we will not forget.

Michele Bachmann is genuine. She believes in this movement and she stands by her convictions.

She is not afraid to take on the far left machine that is the main stream media, even when she knows they are out to get her. Nor is she afraid to take on critical opponents on the debate floor, as she displayed Thursday night when she was attacked by Gov. Pawlenty.

Michele Bachmann is not only the real deal, she is a leader we can count on.

Thank you Sherry, for a most enlightening report of your and Judson's experiences with Michele Bachmann. From my own two year personal vetting of her, this whole story you told, sounds just like the Michele I have followed for over two years. I followed Michele because I had joined a group Palin-Bachmann 2012, and wanted to learn all I could about Michele just as I had done with Sarah Palin. Thank You again for your own account of Michele Bachmann.
William.  N matter what is mportant that we support Israel not for religious reasons, but because they are the pon that hold the whole Middle East together with our support as well as others.  Now we could get someone in office who will get rid of the EPA restraints and start drilling and building refineries so that we ca produce our own oil and gas, which would solve a lot of our problems.  But being realistic Pal wil not make it naver has, and even with the Ta party support I bet he won't.  too many people that ar independents fel he views are a bit out there and we need to swing the independent vote.  Plus Pauls followers have this weird cult like attitude, which others see.

IT'S TIME TO PUT BACHMAN IN THE NUMBER ONE SPOT

BACHMAN IS NOT FOR VP

BACHMAN FOR PRESIDENT

BACHMAN FOR PRESIDENT

BACHMAN FOR PRESIDENT

Sherry, thanks for sharing that story.  You're right!  She IS the real deal and a leader we can count on.  And yes, she CAN win, if we all stop listening to the biased press on both the left and right and get behind her.  Write on blogs, call in to radio shows on the other side, our side, write letters to the editor... and of course send her campaign some green to keep her going!

After reading the comments of fellow Tea Party members I can tell you this.......Pawleney knew he was caught and refused to look Bachmann in theye as she stared at him telling him where his state of his union was exactly! No on, not one has said  "it doesnt matter who gets elected as long as Obama is out in 2012", hows that for selfishness ( something lost in this country). Bachmann doesn't waffle ( lets count on Candidates who have waffled Paul, Santorum, Gingrich, Perry, and the Obama guy Huntsman) that leaves Cain .......Love a Bachmann/Cain ticket..........She is a accomplished Tax Attorney, business owner, mother and compassionate enough to have taken in 23 foster kids who else has that on their record.. maybe that's not a  lot on many men's list brute force is always good..... but to handle 28 kids be a attorney is great multitasking, means great common sense ability to make good quick decisions in seconds that count your talking about lives here. She has held the Tea Party promise through thick and thin and now the Tea Party is somehow responsible for holding 700 Congressmen/women Senators and a President Hostage.not bad for having a great record........I think you all should recheck and see what she has done for this party versus anyone else and her sound thinking!

Thank you for the testimonial - it is refreshing to read something positive for a change. It seems many 'tea party' people are primarily negative. It is understandable of course, the tea party movement was born in anger at O'bama, Reid, and Pelosi and their amazingly arogant power grabs.

But at some point the tea party movement, hopefully, will begin to be about what is acceptable, not JUST what is wrong.

It seems obvious to me this whole nation is facing a long process to turn America around. Eventually leaders can begin to come from within, but for now it seems to me Congresswoman Bachman has more in her favor than many.

Character counts for a lot. And NO ONE knows who can or cannot win, all guesses are premature at this point. IMO

This is an interesting read but it doesn't move the ball down the court. Liberal progressive Marxists are going to come after you regardless of what you do. It is best to keep your face into the wind and sail on rather than let them divert your attention. Just ignore them and focus on the news that focuses on how Obama and all his Marxist Czars can be thrown out of our government. Al Barrs albarrs@wfeca.net

Al,

I beg to differ.  Articles like this definitely move the ball down the court.  Personal experiences with anyone, including politicians, can solidify opinions and respect for others.  Many of the people who vote for obama will do it out of ignorance rather than political ideology.  This article could sway many people who have never seen this side of Michelle Bachmann.  One of the ways obama can be thrown out of our government is to compare his cold uncaring personality to that of an true thoughtful person.

Bachmann can and will win in 2012.
The Iowa straw poll is supposed to be a fundraising event. MB spent 120.000 buying her votes! What a rigged system...218 missing votes? Ron Paul won hands down but the sheeple don't want to find out the truth. Main stream media won't question either.
Oh boy...........................................................
Amen.......
