In a few months, we will observe the tenth Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.  One of the most dramatic changes since the 9/11 attacks has been airport security.   But when you see the video of something that recently happened at a major US Airport, you will wonder what is going on and are we citizens or are we all suspects?

The Bush Administration’s reaction to 9/11 was among other things to create a whole bunch of new government agencies, including the Transportation Security Agency.

Ann Coulter once branded TSA employees as “McDonald’s rejects.”  That is far too kind.  McDonald’s rejects cannot inflict the kind of damage that the TSA can.

The TSA has never prevented a terrorist incident.  In fact, the Agency is so politically correct that four year olds must be fondled, while young, military age men from countries that are hotbeds of jihad.

Now, if you want to go to the airport and fly, if you are selected, you must make the choice between being irradiated or being molested. And God forbid that you speak up and exercise your rights as an American citizen.

A young man in Phoenix at the Sky Harbor Airport recently filmed an example of this lunacy.  His mother was being patted down when she became hysterical over the TSA employee touching her breasts.   Whether the TSA employee did or did not act inappropriately is a matter of debate.  It is not recorded.

What happened after that was.

Airport officials quickly surround the crying woman.  Her son, videoing the incident is told to leave the area.    He leaves the immediate area but continues to video.  Two female TSA agents come out trying to make him stop filming.  On threatens to have a “LEO” or law enforcement officer come and seize his baggage.  Eventually a South West employee tells him he has to stop filming.  The young man refuses.  In the background you can still hear his mother crying hysterically.

Eventually a police officer comes over, asks him for some identification and then says he has done nothing wrong and moves along.

Ultimately it appears Southwest did not let him fly.  Ordinarily I am a pretty big fan of Southwest Airlines, but Southwest was out of line here.   Photography, except in a few sensitive areas, is not a crime.

A year earlier, the same young man had videoed in the airport and some of the TSA remembered him from that incident.  They decided to make an example of the family.

He was not filming in a sensitive area.  Had they done the simple and smart thing and just ignored him, this would not have ended up on the Internet.   Unfortunately, these people are given power, are quite willing to abuse that power and have no clue about the law or the rights the Constitution gives American citizens.

This video is a pretty good example of how bad our airport security system is.  It does nothing to stop those who want to commit terrorist acts.  Instead, it simply makes air travel as painful as possible.  Perhaps Congress could tear itself away from harassing oil company CEO’s or having Hollywood celebrities as witnesses at meaningless hearings long enough to have a real hearing on how the airport security system is not working and how it does little more than violate the rights of American citizens.

right on tom.

Getting us ready for the police state take over. Bend over and spread em.

Legalize the Constution.

The "sheeple" who succumb to the TSA are happy to be herded and allowed by their shepherds to proceed --they're probably grateful.  In the meantime, these TSA employees go through the motions of pretending to be doing something to ensure safe air travel. As we speak these Thousands Standing Around (and now groping, as well) are being organized into a labor union. they are paid by US taxpayers and now will give part of the taxpayer money in dues to the labor union bosses who will, in turn, pass it along to their politicians who voted for the TSA to begin with.  It is the Culture of Corruption and Gangster Government. It is one more nail in the coffin of our Constitutional Republic.
Agree
I just posted above...and said that I have always had to have a "pat down" because I have a metal knee and it sets off bells!  However, if I ever see a muslim in full gear being  excused because of religious reasons...then I'd make noise like the woman in this video!  It's because of this "peaceful religious bunch" that we have to go thru' this humiliation!
James, I totally agree with you. We see chlldren. old ladies etc. being patted down and I myself was patted down for whatever reason- I have no clue. I am just the average white jane who always abides by the law and was on vacation leaving on a flight from of all cities Evansville, Indiana. The only thing I hadn't removed was an underwire bra-heaven forbid. All other metal had been removed. I gladly allowed them to do their job and am grateful that they are observant, but why---WHY is it not these Eastern Indians-Muslims with their shifty eyes and garb, and we all know that they for the most part hate Americans, but they slip through like they do across the other borders without question. Is the TSA affraid of ruffling their feathers for fear of reprisal? When and what will it take for our government and gov. agencies to wake up and do something, or have we been sold out for their eventual takeover in the not too distant future?
There is no constitution to comply with anymore.  Anyone who thinks there is is delusional.  These people at TSA and other law enforcement agencies are illustrating to us what it was like living under the KGB and the Gestapo.  Make no mistake, this business is NOT about security.  They wanted to see how far they could push the public and they have discovered there is no limit.  When a people allows their 6 year old children to be groped in the name of security, we have lost.  The only answer anyone seems to give is as Deborajoe has said, they are not flying anymore.  Prepare folks, we are in for a very long dry spell of no freedoms!

There is no constitution to comply with anymore.

There is my my view and when they come to enforce their unlawful laws, they will find out I support the 2nd Amendment.

We need to be very wise in what we do.

The smarter the Chess player you are the more likely we will not have another Holocaust.

Right now they are winning the game!

What freedoms have we regained?
The time to raise hell about these and any other unconstitutional schemes by the TSA is right at the beginning of the New Violations. If we, dont raise hell at the onset, the farther down the road we go, the more difficult it will be. They are brainwashing our kids to tolerate this stuff. Soon, your children will not understand why you resist getting on the Train to the camps. They will try to expand this BS. Soon, there will be checkpoints at almost every link in our transportation system. At the Train depot, at the Subway, at the Airport, on the highways. Then comes the magnetic stip ID Card which will be scanned, tracking all your movement. Then, they will want to put GPS units in our cars; only to track mileage, bullcrap; they will track everything and that data will immediately be available to the Gov Agents who want to know "anything" about you. You will receive your speeding ticket in the mail from the Nanny State. Your insurance company, who will be in bed with the Gov will cancel your policy because the GPS tells them you were speeding on such and such road on such day. Photos of your violation will be taken by Highway Cams that recognise your car by it's GPS Signature.Even these Club Cards at the grocery store, track every purchase, location of purchase which in the future will interface with the Store Security Cams, showing your little family purchasing prohibited items. we beter wake up. Stop giving out your information. It is not worth saving three cents on milk to give the Gov a data collection process on your family.

This is an issue that we need to address with the candidates running for all public offices in DC and locally.  Either we are following the Constitution and the rights of Americans in American airports or we are not, and we all know we are not.  This has to stop and the terror/worry of going through this before we get on the plane is unexcusable.  Enough!

Unfortunantly, we may have to pass a  law to take away the law they put on us durning a very bad time in America.  How many years will this take to get back to where we were before 9/11? Do we even remember how it was before 9/11?  The growing problem is under this administration and Sister Janet.  While it started under the Bush administration we were in different time.  How many of these terrorist  have we spotted and stopped getting on a plane?  The Shoe bomber etc...  We have no recourse but to abide by this or miss our flights or be arrested.  I am all for safty on flights but...this is insane and unlawful.

Every Candidate running for the office of President for 2012 needs to address this and tell us what they are going to do to change the invasion of our private parts and attacks on us for standing up for the rights of our babies and ourselves?  This is an outright disregard of the Constitutional rights of Americans in America.  If I go to another country, I will abide by their rules and regs but we cannot continue to treat ALL Americans as criminals in America.
