A Tea Party leader takes to the pages of the Washington Post to explain why the Tea Party is taking such a hard line on the debt ceiling debate.
You can read the piece, and the liberal comments which follow it, here.

Nicely done and glad it was in the WP. Their readers deserve the truth too.

Permalink Reply by david chaney on July 28, 2011 at 12:51pm Washington DC has to most to lose if the debt ceiling isn't raised. Some are predicting a 5% drop in GDP, much of which should be experienced inside the beltway. A 5% drop in GDP is a small price to pay compared to what will eventually be paid if unchecked borrowing is allowed to continue.
I've also noticed that the liberal media is confusing default on Bonds with not paying for everything else. This is another example of the liberal media changing the meaning of words to pursue it's agenda. How do you default on what is free handouts? If you don't give a panhandler money, have you defaulted?
Permalink Reply by Les Mack on July 28, 2011 at 1:07pm Every one of the liberal comments I read reflected ignorance and lack of understanding. Those people scare me. If we can't get the spending under control NOW, then I am going to start stockpiling food, water, and other items needed for personal security and safety. If the spending is not brought under control now, it never will be and you can count on America going down in flames. Gather the things you really want and really love, because they won't be around much longer.
The Irony of the situation is that all of the comments that the liberals made didn't apply to the tea party, they actually applied to themselves.
I have been faxing members of congress and the senate to try to convince them to get this mess fixed now. I have never done that before, but that's how strongly I feel about this. It's now or never. And I'm losing hope...

And to think that quote was just 5 months before he violated the Logan Act, by actively campaigning for his Kenyan cousin for President. When Odinga lost, his Muslim buddies went on a rape and killing spree. After 1500 blacks were murdered, Odinga was offered a Prime Minister position to stop the killing.
Permalink Reply by Thomas Nunn on July 28, 2011 at 10:39pm R. Reagan once said, "It haint so much that liberals don't know anything, it just that what they know haint so".
I read some of the comments about the article, and the one thing that stood out in their comments was the total lack of back ground intelligence to support their comments.
One even went so far as to say the US could print all the money it wanted, I guess he's never heard of the "Federal Reserve", and it's certain he knows absolutely nothing about the way our financial system works.
If it were possible to convince liberals that by following their advise both "US" and the "COUNTRY" would end up hell, we might make some headway.
However, in most cases, nothing but hell can convince a fool who professes himself to be wise.
